    The boy before him is beaten, his lip swollen, hands and legs tied to a wooden chair. His breathing is heavy, loud enough to ring through the entire room. Yet somehow, Damian thinks, with his red and green and yellow, although smeared in blood, he looks so free. More free than Damian himself could ever be, holding up the lighter in one of his hands, and the can of gasoline in the other, tears weighting heavy in his eyes.
