Summary
Miles chews his lip, looking thoughtful, eyes staring up at the building towering above them.
“It’s intense. Time feels weird, and it’s this perfect blend of instinct and judgement.” He’s still searching for words, and Lewis waits. “It’s one of the only times when I’m totally in the moment. I’m not thinking about anything else, just the person I’m facing and what they’re doing. It’s almost not even thinking, it’s just—watching, judging, moving, reacting. It’s like feeling completely inside your own body, and brain, but with another person there.”
He pauses again and then looks back at Lewis and grins.
