Chapter Text
Principal Thong has always believed that every student is special. As a professional with over twenty-five years of experience in education, he believes that every child when they walk through the blessed school gates early in the morning, right before the school song play, they're full of potential, ready to take on the unknown world, the sun basically shines out of their filthy asses.
Today, is sadly not one of those days.
In front of him at the moment, were two of the brightest students in their grade. Possibly the top students in school. If one to judge based on their academic performance, these two got As for most of their subjects, something that everyone should aspire to achieve. Not only that, they were good-looking boys and very popular in school. But now, these two rugrats were standing in front of him with dark bruises on their faces, a cut lip, a scratched eyebrow, torn clothes, bloody freaking footprints on their white school uniform.
Principal Thong could already feel the migraine ruining his day.
"Pat... Pran..." the principal drawled in a deeply disappointing tone. "What now?"
The two of them lifted their heads and gave a quick look at each other.
"Uh, we were-"
"-Joking in class."
"-Yup."
"-Playing a character from a story-"
"-Rama and-"
"-The tortoise-"
"-And basically we fell-"
"-On top of each other-"
Oh, the migraine is basically pounding against his skull now.
"As Pran was falling and I was trying to save him-"
"Who are you trying to save, jackass! You pushed me."
"What did you say, jerk!"
Principal Thong took a deep and hearty breath and then exhaled, long and deep. "Ssh..."
The two teenagers instantly kept their mouths shut and turned their heads low.
"Sorry, Principal Thong," apologized the two boys in unison.
Principal Thong observed Pat and Pran. His mind was running wild with all the possible ways to punish these two. Expelling these two idiots is completely out of the question, half the academic and sport trophies and awards in the school is because of them. Suspension is also not part of the equation as they both have a national level competition soon.
"Principal Thong?"
"Quiet, Pran. I'm thinking."
Pran immediately quieted down in embarrassment. This caused Pat to chuckle beside him and then Pat throwing him a venomous look.
Principal Thong thought about calling their parents and explaining to them what had happened. However, unfortunately based on the result of what happened the last time he called their parents, his office basically transformed into a battlefield. It was Team Jindapat VS Team Siridechawat, both parents were screaming their heads off and pointing fingers at how awful the other kid was and that he should be punished or expelled.
It was the longest Parent-Teacher Meet he ever felt in his entire academic career. He still had the scars to remind him of that evening. If only there was something to tie these two kids to their seats to avoid them from fighting each other.
And then a lightbulb moment happened.
"Do you kids watch the drama at nine in the evening, Call Me When You Love Me?"
The two boys shook their heads in unison.
"Last night, my wife and I watched the series and there were these two kids that just would not get along with each other. Just like you two. And so one of the teachers decided to tie them up together in school, hoping that they would call a truce and actually be friends. I wouldn't go much into it, but it's a BL series. Very cheesy acting. So you can imagine the ending."
"Sir, are you saying..."
Principal Thong nodded jubilantly, giving himself an imaginary pat on the back.
"Yes, Pat and Pran. Starting from next week, I want both of you to be tied together for all the duration of your time in school. For an entire week."
"Shit!"
:):)
It was during the morning assembly that Pat and Pran were called to the front of the entire school. They had to walk the grueling walk of shame, with their tails between their legs, and march right up on the stage in front of the entire school. Principal Thong then announced about their unfortunate predicament in class, and then personally tied Pat's right hand with Pran's left hand, and Pat's right foot with Pran's left foot.
Unexpectedly, after tying the two boys up, the entire school along with the teachers cheered in unison. It got even louder when the principal mentioned that they were to be tied together for an entire week. Apparently, even the school is sick of their constant fights.
"Walk faster Pat!" scowled Pran as he moved quicker in the corridor to their class.
Pran was dragging Pat by his arm to hasten his pace, but to no avail. The taller boy has been a complete menace since they were tied together, and was intentionally putting his entire body weight to make it harder for Pran.
"Why are you walking so fast? Ms. Rain doesn't even come for another ten more minutes, why are you even rushing?" asked Pat.
Pran rolled his eyes at his nagging shadow behind him. It has only been fifteen minutes of them being tied together and Pran has already decided that he is in hell.
"I want to go to class early," whined Pran. "Can you move faster?"
"Why do you need to go to class early. We're already early," defended Pat, raising his eyebrows in the most obnoxious way that annoyed Pran to high heaven.
"Pat, I just like to go to class early."
Pat snorted. "Please, you like to be the first in class to show off to the teacher."
"That's not why I want to be early to class," said Pran, feeling that he's at his wit's end.
"Okay then, if you like to go to class early. Then I like to go to class while walking slow," said Pat, scratching his head with his free hand. "Now we have a compromise!"
Pran could help but shake his head at the idiocy of it all.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
Pat threw a playful face at Pran.
"You want to go to class early, and I respect that. And I want to walk to class slow. You have to respect my decision. So now we have a compromise. You get to class early. And I got to walk slow. So here we are, going to class early, but walking slow...," explained Pat teasingly.
"You're not making any sense, Pat," whined Pran, running his hand all over his head once more.
"Yes, I am."
"No, you're not!"
"Yes, I am."
"No, you're not!"
"Why don't you two just kiss already," quipped a fellow senior who moved passed the two of them.
Hearing her words, Pran's cheeks quickly reddened.
And it didn't go unnoticed Pat.
:):)
The first few lessons were absolutely hell for Pran. For an entire week the teachers have unanimously decided that they would be seated next to each other due to their punishment. And Pran just realized how much he missed sitting beside his group of friends. His friends were quiet, organized, well-behaved kids. And sitting beside Pat has been an adventure.
Like river rafting...
Without a helmet, or a paddle, or life jacket, or even the raft.
You're just tumbling down the wretched waters.
For one, Pran realized that Pat doesn't have much stationary, or any for that matter. All he has is a half-chewed blue pen that he had to dug through his entire bag to find it, only to realize that he kept it in his bloody sock. And when Pran asked why he kept the pen in his sock, Pat shrugged in the most annoying fashion and replied that so he won't forget it.
Pran wanted to throw him off their fifth story classroom.
During studying time, Pat would annoy Pran by snatching his stationary as he was using and then putting it back in his pencil case in a disorderly manner. Anything to annoy Pran.
He kept on brushing his legs against Pran just to annoy him. Pat even resorted to do perverted things like scratching the inner of his own thigh just so that Pran would accidently touch his thigh. But Pran didn't give in to his teasing. He was a revengeful person.
Pran would intentionally scratch his sides just so that Pat would have to brush his arm against his body. And Pran loved seeing the always full of words Pat looking dumbstruck like a deer in headlights.
Oh, revenge is definitely sweet.
And then it got to English class, a one hour of lesson right before recess. And Pat did the most outrageous thing.
With their hands still tied together, Pat grabbed Pran's arm and used it as a pillow to rest on as he slept during the entire lesson. Pran tried poking him and nudging his head off his arm, but Pat just would not budge. At last he gave up and allowed the sleepy boy rest on his arm for an entire hour.
As the lesson continued, Pran can't help but steal glances at the sleeping Pat. Pat's hair is very long now, his fringe fell to his eyebrows, Pran always admired Pat's hair, it always looked so thick and healthy. He wanted to know what it feels like to run his fingers through the thick locks.
Without realizing, Pran has been staring at Pat for a moment or two. I mean, what's there not to be surprised, Pat has always been really good-looking. Everyone can see that from a mile away. And now that he's taller, leaner, stronger, it's no surprise that Pat has plenty of admirers wanting him at every chance.
"Did you say something?" grumbled Pat groggily as he shifted in his sleep.
Pran raised an eyebrow. "No."
"Hmm, I thought I heard you call me good-looking."
Pran could feel his heart suddenly beating hard against his chest. Did he actually said it out loud? He swore he only said it in his head. He has to be extra careful next time and not thing of things.
"Who would call you that, idiot."
"Everyone calls me that."
"Shut up and go back to sleep," drawled Pran shaking his head at him.
"Wake me when it's recess," and then Pat nuzzled closer to Pran's arm.
:):)
Pat has been watching Pran for a good fifteen minutes. His bad buddy has been scribbling some calculations on a draft paper, writing down workings about an equation that he just can't wrap his mind around. As Pran tended to his homework, Pat observed how Pran tend to frown when he's hyper focused. And the way his eyebrows knotted together, making his eyes look wide and child-like. And of course the dimples poking out.
Pat cannot help but admires how cute Pran looked when he's frustrated.
"Can you go away, I'm trying to focus here, it's distracting," muttered Pran.
"Oh, then where can I go? I mean we are tied together, if you didn't notice," stated Pat matter-of-factly, raising his hands and showing that they are indeed still tied together with each other.
"Pat, I'm trying to focus here. I just can't seem to solve this calculation."
Pat took a quick look at the scribbles on Pran's draft paper and snorted.
"You're doing it all wrong from the first step. That's why you still haven't solve it," pointed Pat.
"Oh."
Pran shot a glare at his partner. As much as he hates to admit it, he's envious of Pat's problem solving brain. Pat is a freaking math genius. He could solve complicated math problems in seconds without working out the calculations on a draft paper.
"Show me where I'm wrong then," said Pran, sliding a new draft paper to Pat's table.
"Only if you say; 'Please, P'Pat! Please help Nong Pran with his math problem'."
"Listen here, you shithead!"
"It's a no then. Good luck solving it on your own," replied Pat, sliding the draft paper back to Pran's table.
"Oi, Pat."
"Say it."
"No."
"Okay then..."
"Fine."
And then Pat broke into the biggest grin in his life. Pran made a cute pout and furrowed his eyebrows together making him look like dainty child.
"Please P'Pat! Please help Nong Pran with my math problem, only you can help me," said Pran in a childish voice.
Pat broke into a hearty laugh. How can his nemesis be so cute.
"Shut up, idiot!"
"Do it again, please."
"No!"
"Do it again!"
"Pat, I will literally cut your balls!"
"Please, Nong Pran. P' didn't record it."
