The long hallways of the palace was lined with arched windows that allowed in plenty of light, illuminating the polished marble floor and the intricate carvings along the walls. Yoo Joonghyuk, a kind and charismatic prince, was going through the palace hallway, when he suddenly noticed a shadow moving towards him. Kim dokja, a prince from the opposite side of the kingdom, was approaching him. Both of them heard about one another from their parents and were interested in meeting, so this was the perfect chance to get to know each other better.
As they walked closer, Yoo Joonghyuk noticed how Kim dokja’s gaze was fixed on him, as if staring into his soul.
Yoo joonghyuk : "Hello, Prince Kim. It's nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you and I'm glad we got this chance to finally talk face-to-face.
Both of them bows to one another.
Kim dokja: "Greetings, Prince Yoo. I've heard of you as well.”
Yoo Joonghyuk: “What brings you to this part of the kingdom?"
Kim Dokja: “My family came to have dinner with yours.”
They both continued walking and talking through the palace hallways, feeling the tension between them. Yoo Joonghyuk could feel Kim dokja’s eyes on him, studying him carefully. As they walked, Yoo Joonghyuk felt that Kim dokja knew about him more than he knew himself and the way Kim dokja gazed at him was like he was reading a character from a book. he noticed that he couldn’t quite see Kim dokja’s face. it was like a fragment of a memory where everything is blurry. “Maybe I need new glasses?” Yoo Joonghyuk thought to himself
Yoo joonghyuk: "Since I’m guessing your staying for a few nights, are you going to the ball?"
Kim Dokja: "A ball? When is it?”
Yoo Joonghyuk: “It’s two days from now. You should come and I bet you’ll meet a lot of people there.”
Kim Dokja: “Of course!”
Yoo Joonghyuk: "It will also be a wonderful opportunity for you and I to get to know each other better.
Kimdokja : "Well said, Prince. I look forward to meeting you later and enjoying the festivities."
Yoo Joonghyuk : "Excellent! I'll see you then."
With that, Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja parted ways, each going their separate ways to prepare for the ball that night.
Both men were excited to see each other again, the tension between them growing with each passing hour. Yoo Joonghyuk couldn't wait to see Kim Dokja smiling and laughing at the ball, and for the first time he felt nervous about meeting his crush.
The ball was going to be a special night for them, and neither man knew what it had in store for them.
