Facets

Summary:

Caught in a crossfire between Death and Cthulhu, Tweek died. Well, if you ask Tweek, that is just unfair, and Death should take some responsibility for this! Two possibilities lie in front of him, two very different lives. ''Whatever, Tweek thought, it can't be worse than the life I led until now.'' Sun or Chariot, both seem like a good choice to him

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

''Cthulhu and I have a beef and you were caught in a crossfire.'' Death said sheepishly. ''It was not your time really, but these things happen. Don't worry, in your next life, I will make it up for you.''

Tweek blinked, or he at least thought he blinked ( it's really hard to tell when you are a ghost), processing what the hooded figure said, trying to look away from his mangled body on the floor.

''It's just..that damn Cthulhu and his followers! Do you know how many times I had to take Kenny?! I have my life too outside of this work you know, my job does not define me.''

Death continued to rant in a similar manner and Tweek just tuned him out. Tweek was dead. At twelve years old, and what a shitty life that was! They say that when you die you know everything, well in Tweek's case, in death he could see with clarity, his parents drugged him, majority of the town was filled with fucking lunatics, but there was also love. He was loved and that love came from two unlikely sources, Craig and Kenny. That love was so simple and warm and when Tweek was alive he never felt this kind of love.

His eyes filled with tears. If he were alive, maybe he had a chance for happiness. How ironic, to feel it now when he has no chance of doing anything with that. Life and death alike proved to be equally shitty for different reasons.

Death took his hand dragging him along. ''Come along, don't worry I will put up a good word with higher-ups and you will have a better next life.''

Tweek dug his feet into the ground, or to be more precise, his soul absolutely refused to move and screamed in resistance.

Death sighed. ''Tweek, my gaming session with Jesus and Santa will start soon and I really don't want to miss it. I promise you, it won't hurt and you won't remember anything.''

''No.'' Tweek was shaking and he was scared shirtless but the love he could feel gave him newfound strength. ''This is your responsibility, fix it. I shouldn't even be here, I was just doing my own thing and ManBearPig just came out of nowhere! This isn't right!''

''I told you I was testing to see if he would be able to stop the resurrection of Cthulhu's followers! I mean he killed Satan for crying out loud, it seemed like a decent idea. Of course, there were some casualties but it was all for a good cause.''

''Good cause for you, you mean. You just want to avoid working overtime. Are you even allowed to unleash that thing on the world?!''

''Well…not really, but-"

''I bet your higher-ups won't be happy to hear about this!'' Tweek was acting outraged but in reality, he was scared shitless. He would do everything to continue to feel this love and knowing his luck, his next life would be equally shitty and lonely. The blond won't allow this.

Death was silent.

''Please, fix this,'' Tweek whispered.

Death sighed, giving up, murmuring something about how he didn't want to miss their game. They kneeled and in their bony hands there was a diamond shining brightly. To Tweek, it seemed like the light was coming from the inside of the diamond, but that was impossible, right?

Just what is impossible in South Park and what is normal about this situation?

''There are facets to everything,'' Death began, this time their voice sounding deathly serious, ''Each light represents something different, each angle a new possibility. Your life won't be easy you know, I won't fix your parents, I won't fix your addiction. It's better to start with a clean slate you know?''

Tweek just shook his head. For that love, he would stay here.

The blonde was mesmerized watching the light, his brow furrowed because he could almost see something but when he would focus, the images would be gone from his mind.

''Focus. Each light a new possibility, each image a new reality.'' Their voice completely changed. It was a cacophonic chorus attacking Tweek's ears and he felt he would go crazy if he listened to it more.

''What do you see?'' The voice demanded to know.

''I see…'' Tweek struggled to find the words and with each second passed he felt pressure and his soul was crushing under it, but there was also love and he would do anything to continue to feel it.

''I see…Sun and someone riding a chariot,'' came his automatic response, his brow furrowed in concentration, struggling to keep both images in his mind.

''You can't hold on to two realities, you must choose. The Sun or the Chariot?''

Tweek's face was blank and his hand automatically went to his desired outcome.

''I choose…''
