"Your going to... not be able to see mommy and daddy for awhile."
"What?! Why?"
"Because...your going to be training, to become just like daddy."
Y's eyes slowly flickered on. She yawned, stretching before laying still again. She looked around at the room she was in: it was exactly like her's: all sorts of posters about various inventors along with a big one across from her of a Tesla coil. There were all sorts of parts in the floor that she would play with as toys, along with her big bucket if Legos.
And yet, it was all strange to her. This wasn't her room...
-----------------------------------------------
"This is your new room." The door opened for Y to step into what looked like an exact replica of her father's science lab." She nervously looked around at her surroundings as two humans came in with luggage.
"This is why we get them while they're asleep." One of the humans grumbled.
Out in the hall, Y could see other humans, carefully carrying the other kids into the other rooms. "Carefull!" She heard one of the humans scold, "She might hear you!"
"She's only six years old." The other said in a harsh whisper.
"She's only six, but apparently this kid is like a mad genius. She can piece two and two together."
A tear came down the child's eye...
--------------------------------------------
Now it was evening, and the child was standing in her doorway, looking around at the living room/lab. She walked up and ran a hand across the side of the couch before walking up to her parents' door.
She knew they weren't in there, she had said good bye to her father the previous day. But she just wanted to see... the door creaked open, allowing her to see her parents' empty bed. She climbed ilup and laid down right where mommy would cuddle her. It was almost like she could feel her parents' arms wrap around her.
Suddenly she could hear the sound of crying out in the hall, along with multiple voices crying out. Y jumped down from the bed and put her receptor up to the door before slowly peaking it open slightly: from where she could see all the other kids weeping for their parents. Y's eyes hollowed as she slowly closed the door: none of them knew...except her... she slowly walked up to her couch as tears began falling from her visor. She cuddled up in a ball, "Mommy...daddy..." She drew the a locket from her pocket, opening it to reveal a family picture of her and her parents...
-----------------------------------------------
*ring ring*
Y sat on her bed with the phone her father had given her, waiting eagerly for an answer.
Her tail perked up when the phone suddenly clicked. "Hello hello, this s Huston speaking to Eagle."
Y gasped with joy, "Daddy!"
"What!? Is it working, tell me that thing be working!" Came another female voice.
"Mommy!"
"Sweety!"
"Ehao honey!" The sound of a ruckus could be heard as Y assumed her mommy was taking the phone.
"Tell me yee are okay, please tell me yee be okay!"
"I'm okay mommy, I'm right here." Y responded, making sure to keep her voice down so others wouldn't hear.
"Honey can you hand it here so we can both talk?" She could hear her father say in the background before his voice got louder, "So how's it going over there Y? First big day huh."
"Yeah," She looked off to the side, "First big day."
"Were yee able to eat those carousin' landlubbers?" Jewel asked.
"No," Y answered, "Everydrone had the day off..."
The other end went silent, them both noting Y's sad tone. "Same thing happened here sweety." Tesla spoke, "They told me they'd give us a day off to recover from the shock. How are the others holding up?"
Y could feel the tears returning in her eyes, "They...they don't know..."
"What do yee mean?" Jewel spoke with worry.
"They made the rooms exactly the same... I saw them bringing other kids in while they slept." Y's teats began to flow more freely.
"So they didn't even tell the children either then..." Tesla mussed.
"What else do yee think they'd have done?" Jewel scolded, "They be come for me daughter at 10 AM!"
"They were all so sad," Y continued, "Nobody knew what was going on. I *hic* feel so terrible for them." Y began quietly sobbing.
"Damn those lousy brutes!" Jewel exclaimed.
"Shh, we don't want them to hear us." Tesla shushed.
"How do yee expect me to be quiet when I can't even comfort me own daughter!"
As they continued to go back and forth, Y continued to cry: for both the mourning of the others and the inability to hug her mother. "Mommy...I miss you."
"I be missing yee too sweety." Jewel responded gently, "we'll be making it through this together aye?"
"Aye," Y responded.
Something suddenly clicked in Y's head. "Daddy."
"Yes sweety?" He responded in a heavy voice.
"Im..." She hesitated, "I'm...not supposed to be talking to you... am I?"
There was silence on the other end, both husband and wife looking at each other with worry. "No..." Tesla said at last, "I...don't, think we are..."
Y suddenly began to feel scarred, doubt, uncertain of what was to happen. "Mommy...daddy..."
"You know what bucaneer?" Jewel said, "It may be against the rules rgh, but we pirates make the rules walk the plank!"
"But...won't we get in trouble?"
"As long as you don't tell anybody." Tesla assured, "Keep this as our little secret. We won't tell anybody either."
Y nodded, "Okay."
"Now Y, do you remember that big project I told you about?"
Y's eyes lit up, "Project B-Bot!?"
"Exactly the one." He said as Jewel chuckled in the background.
"But...you never showed me the computer." Y said worriedly, checking her door again to make sure no one was hearing.
"No need, I've already done all the computer work for you. Check that co.partment on the phone."
Y did as told, finding the said compartment and opening it. "Theres a USB in here."
"Good! That should be all of B-Bot's programing. All you have to do is build a body for that to go into."
"And don't yee worry lass!" Jewel chimed in, "Yee papa be right here if yee need coaching."
"Thank you!" Y said.
Tesla chuckled, "Inventors look out for each other..."
"And pirates always have each other's back mattey!" Jewel added on.
Y was cheered up. "Cause once on a crew,"
"Always on the crew!" Both parents responded.
"I love you my little bucky." Jewel added.
"I love you too mommy."
"Alright, I think its time we all be going to bed for the night." Tesla said, "Good night my little inventor."
"Good night daddy, mommy. Y, up and out!"
