After the defeat of the Absolute, much needs to be rebuild. Cities, lives, homes, and the personal lives of the characters that have all been through this hard journey.Halsin is building his new settlement, but discovers that, as his burdens lessen, old wounds resurface and traumatic events rush to the surface. In an attempt to heal he starts on a journey of self-healing and care. He seeks the aid of a fey spirit, and discovers that through it all his former lover, Zalia, stands by him as a steadfast, loyal and wise friend who helps him through his struggles.
In the meanwhile Astarion tries to discover what it means to be a free person, and create a new life for himself with his love, Anixori Bellerose, a talented bard and brothel owner (monogamous relationship).
This story is based on the full release of Baldur's Gate 3 and touches on sensitive and problematic themes in the backgrounds of Halsin and Astarion. Reader discretion is advised due to potentially triggering content, including references to extensive abuse, though it will not be explicitly described.
