Chapter Text
Tyki mikk looked at the photo he had snatched from his mother’s bedroom before leaving the mansion behind.
His mother was sitting on a chair and standing behind her was a tall slender man in long coat.
He turned the photo over, “Mana Walker” and a year before his birth was written behind the photo.
To be more precise, the date was eight month and half before his birth.
He took out a cigarette and started smoking. His hand would clench and relax intermittently around photo.
He always known that the father who raised him, was not his real father.
After his older brother’s father died and left his mother a widow, his dear mother had a recurrence of youth and started an affair.
Which resulted in him and which forced his mother to get married to hide the out of wedlock baby.
His adoptive father married into wealth and took his wife’s name.
In exchange for his discretion, mother bankrolled his lifestyle and let him have a separate but discrete love life.
Tyki had always wondered who his real father was and now, looking at the old faded photo, he couldn’t help but see a striking family resemblance.
Or maybe, the resemblance was all in his head and seeing the date of photo so suspiciously close to his birth was messing with his head.
He didn’t know.
And his mother was no longer around to ask.
His nominal father only know he wasn’t his blood and his interest always ended there.
A name, a date, and a city.
Was it enough to find him?
More than two decade ago, was there even anyone who remembered him?
He didn’t know, he desperately wanted to know.
He checked his pockets.
He had more than enough for a train ride to that city and then back to his group of friends.
For a second he felt bad about leaving his brother behind to take care of funeral and their mother’s husband, but he shook the feeling off and started to head toward the train station.
His brother now had both a wife and a daughter. He would be fine. His sister-in-law would make sure of that. She had an ill body but her spirit was quite strong.
He didn’t think there was any need for him to be there. No, to be accurate, he didn’t want to be there.
Setting his sudden marriage and adoption of a child aside, His older brother’s creepy behavior had intensified and the company he kept were also quite strange.
It was best he didn’t remain here.
-----------------------------
A graveyard, in cold winter, one man was standing frozen before a grave.
“Mana walker”
“A loving Father”
“Tch, it seems I’m a true orphan.” Tyki said under his breath.
“All those months, all just for grave.” Tyki closed his eyes and sighed. He placed his head in his hands.
“My head is killing me.” He massaged his temples.
He straightened and started to walk away before pausing.
He turned back toward the grave. “A loving Father? Do I have other siblings?”
For second he thought about having another sibling. A little brother or a little sister maybe?
“Someone who is normal and not creepy like older brother?”
He shake his head, trying to clear it.
Since his mother’s death, he was always having nightmare and his headaches were intensifying.
Some days he felt as if he was running from something, but he was losing ground to it. It felt as his days were numbered and soon he couldn’t run away anymore.
He took out cigarette and started to aggressively smoke.
This kind of thought were starting to unnerve him.
Approaching footsteps shook him out of his depressive thoughts.
A tall smiling board man was approaching him.
No, he was approaching his father’s grave.
He blinked as he saw him start cleaning the grave.
Could he be his brother?
But he looked quite older than him?
Was his mother the other woman?
His mood soured.
“Hey, did you know this man?” he asked him.
“Mana walker? No, I didn’t know him. I know his son, Allen walker, I’m doing it in his stead.”
“Allen walker? Do you know where he is? Can you help me reach him?”
The man frowned. “Why are you so interested in him?”
Tyki took out his photo out of his pocket and offered to him.
“Mana walker was my father, as Allen’s brother, I want to meet him.”
He took the photo and inspected it.
“Oh, let’s go see Mother. She should know what to do.”
----------------------------
Mother’s house
Tyki once again spoke about his reasons for searching for Allen walker.
Mother, an old short lady, listened carefully to his tale.
She placed a cup of tea in front of him and said to wait a little.
After placing a few phone calls she returned to him.
“He is traveling with Cross Marian. The last location I have is, he was heading toward India, to one of his lovers.”
She wrote several lines of instruction on a piece of paper.
“Normally, Cross Marian is quite unpredictable. You are quite lucky this time. He should remain with her for at least a few weeks.”
She paused and said gravely.
“Maybe I shouldn’t give this to you, but that boy, Allen would be very happy to have someone sharing mana’s blood.”
She slid the paper over but didn’t took her hand off it. “Allen is the adopted son of Mana. If it’s a deal breaker, you shouldn’t go. He doesn’t need more heartbreaks.”
Tyki swallowed. Suddenly feeling a weight placed on his shoulders. “It’s not a deal breaker. He is my brother and I would like to see him.”
Mother took her hand off the paper and allowed him to take the paper.
“You should hurry. Cross Marian isn’t someone easy to track and India is quite far.”
“I understand, thank you.”
----------------
A few hours later, in train
Tyki looked at paper in his hand.
He couldn’t believe he was going to the other side of world for a brother he never even knew existed before today.
At best he was going to be traveling for a few weeks but it was more likely to be traveling for a few months.
And all of this time and money could be going down the drain if he reached the destination and they had already moved on.
Hopefully they would be there.
