Work Text:
Yosano was confident in her love for her assistant. But she hasn’t loved anyone like this in awhile, so she didn’t really know how to show it.
She didn’t get attached shut up
So she was left with no other choice but to ask the resident love expert, her desk mate.
“Oh I know, just use some pick up lines!” Naomi suggested to the doctor.
“Pick up lines….? Who do you take me for?” Yosano replied not knowing whether to be insulted or not. The doctor was just glad that no one was around to hear this conversation.
“Come on, the poor thing already gets so nervous around you. Imagine their dumb face when you hit him with a take up dash!” Naomi cheered.
“Pardon”
-
Yosano was okay, she was fine, I don’t know what you're talking about, she has everything under control.
She took a deep sigh before forcibly pushing the infirmary doors open, where her assailant was tidying up medical tools inside.
The assistant noticeably yelped in surprise as they heard the doors behind him being swung open. “Uh h-hello” he greeted awkwardly with his face full of confusion.
Yosano calmly coughed into her hand as if nothing happened while she walked towards her assistant. “Give me your hand” she ordered, meaning to give off a sweet tone but ending up more demanding. Yosano took her glove off before reaching her hand out to him.
“Um o-ok” the assistant stammered a bit in confusion as he obediently reached his hand out, blushing a little as their hands touched.
Yosano’s mind suddenly started going haywire as she caressed her assistant’s hand.
‘Oh, he’s blushing! That means it’s working! Wait no, we haven’t finished yet Akiko’
“Uh ma’am, are you alright?” The assistant asked in concern as he awkwardly held her hand.
‘Fuck, okay just say it Akiko’
‘Your skin is very soft my dear’
“Your skin is very soft my dear. I could cut it off and sew it into a pillow” she giggled menacingly as she held his hand a little tighter.
“H-huh…”
‘God dammit, look at what you’ve done now Akiko! How did you fuck this up so bad?! He’s not saying anything, oh no… I’ve ruined this…’
“V-very well!” The assistant blurted out, shattering the awkward silence.
“….. pardon”
“I-if it will make you happy doctor uh i-I give you full consent to skin me alive!” He declared in full seriousness.
“N-no, that’s not!?” Yosano sputtered frantically, pulling her hands up in a pause motion.
“Oh then what were you meaning, ma’am?” The assistant asked completely oblivious to Yosano’s panicked expression.
“Uh l-look, just forget it, get back to work!” Yosano sighed in defeat before turning around to leave.
“Um y-yes ma’am!” Her assistant replied in confusion as she left the infirmary.
-
“So how’d it go!” Naomi chirped as she watched Yosano storm out of the infirmary.
“Shut your mouth before I cut it off and tape it to my wall….”
“Will do!”
-
“Hey, wake up!”
The assistant sat up quickly, very confused for a minute before remembering where he was, he was at Yosano’s desk, due to being her assistant they often switched between her desk in the agency and the infirmary.
“Hey stop sleeping on the job, it’s closing time! Go home!” Naomi scolded but not really being serious.
The assistant blinked slowly as he regained consciousness “oh sorry” he mumbled tiredly.
“Um, has the doctor left?” He asked as he slowly got up from the chair.
“Yosano? I haven’t seen her, she’s probably still in the infirmary.” The girl answered as she grabbed her bag. “Well goodnight! Nii-san wait up!” Naomi yelled as she left to follow her brother.
“Bye…”
The assistant grabbed his bag as they tried to think of an excuse to go to the infirmary, “ow!” He let out in surprise as he accidentally cut his hand on the desk next to him.
Since when were these desks so sharp?!
At least I have an excuse now…..
The assistant slowly walked over to the infirmary, he quietly opened the door and walked inside.
“Doctor,” the assistant said quietly as he walked further into the room.
He quickly walked over to her desk and found her laid back on her chair fast asleep.
“Doctor,” the assistant muttered as he gently shook her arm a bit.
After a few seconds Yosano began to open her eyes “oh hello.. sorry I fell asleep” she mumbled tiredly as she slowly sat up.
“Good evening doctor, work has ended.” The assistant replied quietly.
“Ah yes, it has, hasn’t it?” Yosano yawned as she got up from her chair only to stop dead in her tracks as she saw her assistant's hand. “You… what happened to you?!” Yosano demanded softly as she took his hand, her tiredness quickly evaporating and replaced by concern.
“Oh um I-I’m fine doctor, it's nothing a bandage couldn’t fix..” the assistant attempted to reassure.
Yosano was not convinced.
“Come.” She commented as she pulled out some bandages from a drawer and pulled his wrist closer.
“Just because you're my assistant doesn’t mean you're not also obligated to notify me when you're injured, dear” she said sinisterly, (empathies on the “dear”) as she tightened the bandage on his hand.
“A-apologies” the assistant stammered, wincing a little as the bandage tightened. He stared up at her for a bit even when she was scolding him, he couldn’t help but be entranced by her. But that also couldn’t stop him from his face going redder than a tomato at those thoughts.
She didn’t respond as she put the bandages back in her drawer before grabbing her bag “well it’s time to go” she said tiredly while walking towards the infirmary entrance “we all sleep at the dormitories anyway, so come along, it’s too dark for you to be walking by yourself my dear.”
“Y-yes ma’am” the assistant caved.
-
It was freezing out here, but her simple presence made it bearable.
The assistant's dress swayed as the cold wind blew through the sky, shivering as he slowly followed the doctor to her dorm.
The doctor unlocked the door to her dorm before looking back at her assistant with a look he couldn’t quite decipher.
“W-well um guess I-I’ll get going now! Goodnight d-doctor” the assistant said awkwardly.
Yosano rolled her eyes before grabbing him from the collar “that hand still needs time to heal, I recommend further examination so I know it’s healing correctly” she said, sounding more like an order than a suggestion.
Before her assistant could say a word she pulled him inside, closing the door behind her.
