Work Text:

Bora's pacing up and down in the room is making Siyeon become dizzy as the seconds pass by. She is on the phone with her girlfriend, Wendy. She sounds upset, from what Siyeon can hear filter out from Bora's phone.

"Wendy, I really meant that as a joke." Bora sounds strained, annoyed almost, because they have been through this multiple times. If Siyeon wasn't Bora's best friend since kindergarten maybe she would take Wendy's side.

Bora's jokes can get a little intense sometimes, but it's Bora we are talking about. Anything she says comes from her heart and anyone who knows her even just a little bit knows that she never means to hurt anyone with her jokes.

Everyone, except for Wendy. Her own girlfriend. Siyeon lets out a snort upon thinking about that, her eyes staying fixed on the TV from her lying position in her bed. The game on the screen is pending, she was in the middle of beating Bora's ass in Cart Rider when Wendy's call came in. Literally 20 minutes ago.

"Wendy I literally said 'Yes baby yes.' to Minji because she hit a home run!" Bora is desperate now, just trying to get her point across and Siyeon can't help but giggle out loud.

She is a sucker for Bora's humor and all the silly things she has to say, and especially adores the 'Yes baby yes.' catchphrase.

"Are you with Siyeon again?" now this question filters out clearly from Bora's phone, and Siyeon tries to stop giggling, but it's no use when Bora gives her the funniest look she's seen all week as she plops down on her stomach half next to, half on top of Siyeon on the bed.

"Yes baby, I am with Siyeon just like every Tuesday night." Bora reasons, almost sounding annoyed, not that anyone besides Siyeon could pick up on that.

Her smile freezes on her face when Bora readjust herself so that she is cuddling into Siyeon's side, her warm breath hitting the sensitive skin on her neck. She should be used to it, they have been friends since they were toddlers, but it still makes her feel like she swallowed a pound of dry ice and now the steam is running through her veins. It's not nice, but she would never tell Bora.

Because that immediately means she has to confess she's been in love with her ever since third grade of elementary school. Yeah that's a no-no for Siyeon, even if Bora was single. But she isn't, hasn't been for a couple of months now actually which surprises Siyeon.

Bora's relationship with Wendy has lasted longer than any other girlfriends before. Siyeon just can't grasp it but they somehow for some reason just don't seem to click with each other. It's constant bickering about the smallest things, like now, but Bora claims she's good in bed so there's that.

"I promise baby, I love you." is the next thing Siyeon hears, signaling that Bora is hanging up the call now, and when she throws her phone across the bed she lets out a loud sigh.

"Another misunderstanding?" Siyeon asks quietly when Bora doesn't say anything, just fidgets with the controller resting on Siyeon's stomach to switch from the game screen to spotify. The playlist she picks makes SIyeon smile: it's their blend playlist of their all time favorite rock songs.

"Yeah, she just doesn't seem to get I say flirty shit to my friends." She sounds hurt, and Siyeon hates that so much.

"Maybe you should tell her why?" Siyeon suggests, because to her best knowledge Bora hasn't exactly told Wendy her story.

"We haven't been dating long enough for her to understand." Bora dismisses with a sigh, and then makes an absurd yelling sound in sync with the growling section of the song playing in the background.

It makes Siyeon laugh out loud, cause she sounds so awful it's almost good.

"Are you laughing at me?" Bora sounds fake offended as she tackles Siyeon in a bear hug, wrestling and calling her out with more incoherent sounds that only Siyeon finds funny. They play-fight for a few seconds until Siyeon attacks Bora with tickles and the older gives up, defeated, rolling on her back next to Siyeon.

"Will you come to the game?" Bora's question is sudden, and Siyeon finds it a bit useless as well.

"Have I ever missed one?" She claps back with a question, turning her head to look at Bora.

Her side profile has been simultaneously carved by God and Michelangelo, Siyeon is convinced. Bora keeps her eyes on the glowing star stickers on Siyeon's ceiling. She seems to be deep in thoughts about something Siyeon is too scared to address. Bora eventually breaks out in a smile, turning to look at Siyeon:

"No, you haven't."

Siyeon has a reserved place on the bleachers, everyone knows that. Front row, closest to their team's benches. She's practically Bora's manager at this point, making sure the older girl stays collected and somewhat calm (as calm as Bora can get in general), to play her games with a clear head.

She's sitting with Yoohyeon, the klutz sophomore she met in theater class, and somehow ironically the girlfriend of Kim Minji, the captain of the softball team Bora also plays in.

The team is currently stretching on the side of the field, and Siyeon just stares. Her eyes travel from toned thighs hidden under tight uniform pants, the shirt tucked into the high waist hiding those godly abs Kim Bora has. Siyeon sometimes hates this uniform. Mostly she's thankful Bora's skin isn't out for everyone to see. Mentally, she curses at herself, for thinking about Bora like this.

"Earth to Siyeon unnie, you are drooling." It's the giggle of the sophomore next to her that brings her out of her trance.

"Sorry, the fries are too good." she reasons with an unconvincing smile, knowing that Yoohyeon knows anyways.

"Yeah, of course they are." Yoohyeon mocks her with a tongue poked out, but her smile quickly fades when Minji calls out her name, passing her her baseball jacket, the name KIM MINJI and the number 07 engraved on the back.

"Put it on, it's getting cold." Minji notes to her girlfriend, leaning over the rail to press a soft kiss to her forehead.

"Ew get away from me." Siyeon gags in fake disgust, one of her favorite part time activities being making fun of her friends. Mostly out of jealousy, but she would never admit to that.

She wishes her attention didn't drift behind Minji, catching Bora and Wendy talking on the side of the field. Of course Wendy is there, why wouldn't she be when she is the cheer captain. Given that, she is mostly wearing the short skirts and tight tank tops, this time accompanied with Bora's baseball jacket. Jealousy stirs in her stomach, because that jacket used to be hers during Bora's games.

The number on the back makes her smile though: 95, the last two digits of the year Siyeon was born in.

She doesn't hear what they are talking about over the crowd murmuring and music playing, but she does see Bora pointing at her and then Wendy having a very unpleased facial expression easily seen even from this far away.

What she doesn't expect is Wendy slipping out of the jacket and handing it to Bora, accompanied with a rather theatrical kiss before she heads back to her cheer team, getting ready for the game. Bora then jogs up to her and suddenly she's self conscious about the worn out band t-shirt she is wearing.

"Siyeon-ah, I told you to bring a jacket or hoodie to games at night!" She's barely mad, more concern coming from her voice as she scans over Siyeon.

"I'm sorry, I forgot." she apologizes, ears burning from not only Bora's, but now Yoohyeon and Minji's attention being on her as well.

"You can't get cold, you have to promise me that.'' The worry in her voice makes Siyeon's heart melt.

Bora hands her the jacket with a smile Siyeon can't decode, and from the corner of her eyes she can see Minji and Yoohyeon share a look that she can't even bother to think about.

"Put this on, okay? You have to be healthy to be able to do your role in the musical."

Just when Siyeon thinks Bora couldn't melt her heart further, she does. She somehow always manages to do that. To completely mess Siyeon up with simple actions and words that show that in the end she cares about her the most. However it instantly comes with this stupid feeling that Siyeon can't help but hate: Hope.

She will just keep dreaming about the day when Bora realizes that maybe, just maybe Siyeon is the girl she is looking for.

Minji and Bora leave Siyeon and Yoohyeon on the bleachers shortly after as their game is about to start. They keep staring at the athletes like lovesick puppies, Siyeon in secret and well, Yoohyeon being Yoohyeon, she yells "KIM MINJI FIGHTING!" every 5 seconds only to get shy right after when her girlfriend turns around to blow her a kiss or wink at her without fail each and every time.

What the girls on the bleachers don't know is that, before each and every game, when Bora secures the baseball hat on her head she murmurs "Singnie, this is for you." before she takes off their friendship ring and places it somewhere safe.

It makes Minji smile each and every time, but it's not her place to tell anyone about this.

Bathing in sunlight in the campus park has to be one of Siyeon's favorite activities to do with Bora. Even though their majors completely differ, the heavy anatomy book that Bora somehow manages to balance on her thigh with her notebook on the other matches the philosophy tomb (Bora gave it that name) that Siyeon is scanning through carefully.

"Siyeon, what am I doing this for remind me again?" The grunt coming from the smaller girl is unpleasant and tired. Exam period sucks, Siyeon is well aware, but Bora always had a hard time with it.

With all the energy buzzing in her body it was nearly impossible to sit her down for more than an hour. Let alone make her focus on her studies.

"You want to be a coach." Siyeon reasons, pretty well she thinks. "You need to learn anatomy for that."

"I changed my mind." Bora giggles, closing the book with a loud thud. "I'm going to be a star softball player, live in a maison, have expensive cars and a bunch of women drooling over me."

The giggle Siyeon lets out brings both Minji's and Yoohyeon's attention to them from the neighboring picnic mat.

"What made you all giggly, Siyeon?" The question thrown at her is curious coming from Yoohyeon with her nose buried in a chemistry book.

"Fraud is hilarious." Siyeon rolls her eyes playfully before following Bora in closing her book that is laying on the ground. "I'm gonna go grab some snacks, do you guys want anything?"

"I'll come with you," Bora agrees in a heartbeat, jumping to her feet. "Every muscle in my body is sore, I need to walk a little."

"Singnie, can I get a choco pie please?" it's Minji's first time speaking up, glancing away from her law book just for a second.

"Sure thing." Siyeon replies as she stands up, dusting off her jeans for no reason at all because she's been sitting on a mat all this time.

As they start making their way through the field, Siyeon tries her best to not step on any other blankets and mats students have spread out. Bora skips through them easily, for her it's harder to follow, but Bora always waits.

The air freezes around them when they pass the Cheerleaders sitting on a bench near the path that leads them into the campus building.

Wendy and Bora are on a break, they have been for almost a week now. Wendy proposed a few days after the game that they would spend a little time apart. And Siyeon felt bad. Okay not fully because who would feel bad if their crush went on a break with their girlfriend. As Bora's best friend however, she just hated to see her sad. It was very rare to see Kim Bora sad and have no energy.

Siyeon lowkey felt that it's because of her and because of that stupid jacket. If she got jealous of Wendy wearing it, the other girl, who is, or well was Bora's official girlfriend had every right to be mad. It's not like she would ever say this to Bora anyways.

The vending machine is thankfully refilled with all the snacks and drinks of their heart's desires. Siyeon offers to pay, and after a short push and pull game, Bora lets her. She thanks the younger one with groping at her ass, playful as always. Siyeon giggles, heart filling with adoration for the older.

"Wanna take a stroll before we get back?" Siyeon prompts, glancing at the other exit that takes the longer route to their designated place in the school yard.

"You're asking a future softball superstar, I'm always on the move." The older does her signature silly dance step that she uses only when she hits a home run. Siyeon's laugh only gets louder, happier, and more honest.

Bora only calms down once a strawberry milk, already prepared with the little straw sticking out from the bottle is handed to her, a fond smile stretching across the younger's lips.

"Do you have any plans for the end of semester party yet?" Siyeon pops the question that's been bugging in the back of her mind lately.

"Ah well," Bora starts happily, "Do you know Handong? She said her girlfriend Gahyeon is going to throw a party because her parents will be out of town."

"Neat." the younger does not sound convinced at all, in fact she becomes way too nervous at the mention of the names of people she's heard once or twice of from Bora.

"Come onnnn, Singnie." Bora drags out, whining as she clings onto Siyeon's arm. "Handong is friends with Yoohyeon! And her girlfriend is a cutie too!"

"Will there be anyone I know? Besides you guys of course." Siyeon tries to seem curious, for the sake of Bora, just to keep that excited glowing smile on her face.

"Uhm," Bora ponders, with an index finger tapping her chin, and Siyeon can see the second the lightbulb appears next to her head. "Yubin! From band, and theater too! I'm sure it'd be fun."

Now that makes Siyeon genuinely smile. Bora knows it's harder for her to agree to outings including multiple people that aren't her close friends. Bora is always careful to not push the younger out of her comfort zone, making sure Siyeon knows she can always say no.

"Alright, but one condition," the mischievous smile on Bora's face gives away that she's ready to agree to whatever Siyeon says next. "We both get shit out drunk."

"YAAAAAHHH LEE SIYEON!" The laugh Bora breaks out in brings the attention of nearly half of the quad to them. "THAT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY! I NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D SAY THAT."

"What made you think I am a bad drinker?" Siyeon just laughs with her, and this time doesn't mind the questioning or burning looks sent their way. Bora has got a laugh and smile that could light up the whole city. This is the first time Siyeon has heard her chicken laugh paired with her beaming smile since she went on a break with Wendy.

She would handle a thousand burning looks if it meant Kim Bora smiles like how she is smiling right now.

"YAHH!!!!!" the arm linking with hers is familiar but sends the same tingling sensation down Siyeon's spine. "I obviously have better tolerance than you."

"Of course, of course." the younger easily agrees, pulling Bora over to sit on a quiet little bench, a bit further away from the crowds.

"What's up Singnie?" Siyeon is grateful in moments like these, that Bora reads her like an open book. She doesn't have to say anything, but the older one already knows she wants to ask her something.

"How have you been?" her tone is serious, making sure Bora understands that she demands a non silly answer this time.

"I'm fine," her smile is a telltale of her lie, it's not the radiating all toothy smile Bora can manage when she's truly happy.

"I know you better than that." Siyeon shakes her head, a small and comforting smile appearing on her lips as she locks her gaze with Bora's.

"Then why do you ask..." Bora's giggle is bittersweet, taking a sip from her strawberry milk. "I've been better...but it's okay, everything will be okay."

Siyeon reaches out to put a comforting hand on Bora's knee. She knows it's the best she can do for now, and the older will come around once she's ready to open up about how the whole break is affecting her.

"You'll always be my best friend, Singnie." Bora's hand finds its way on top of Siyeon's, gratefulness dripping from her voice, and it's in these moments when Siyeon is thankful that one way, or another, she has Bora.

"You'll always be mine, Bboya."

The party is better than Siyeon would have thought if she has to be honest. Gahyeon's family has a huge house to begin with so even though many people are invited, they are scattered around enough for Siyeon to be able to breathe.

Plus, music is only blasting in the living room that has a floor to ceiling glass sliding door, turning the garden into a fun place to hang out in if you don't want to dance. That's how Siyeon ended up sitting around the campfire with Bora, Minji and Yoohyeon, joined by Yubin who she knows from theater and band, Handong and Gahyeon the host herself.

Bora is clutching onto a beer, the bottle hanging loosely between her delicate fingers, currently arguing with Yoohyeon over how she isn't drinking anything when she should be saying at least one toast on all of their successful exams.

"Bora, who is gonna drive your drunk ass home if not Yoohyeonie?" Minji chimes in eventually with a light hearted giggle, knowing she is right.

The defeat on Bora's face is straight up hilarious, making Siyeon laugh, with her head thrown back and all.

"HEY!" it's a small slap she gets from Bora on her thighs, teasing, "You should be backing me up!"

"But Minji is right, Bbo," Siyeon gazes at her endearingly, "You said we would get shit out drunk so we need a driver!"

All of them erupt in laughter, and love grows in Siyeon's chest when she sees Bora's pout soften into a smile.

Siyeon feels warm, not just because of the campfire and the summer atmosphere, but also because of the company...and after a while because of the alcohol too.

"Do you guys wanna play truth or dare?"

That's all their group needs to get lost in drinks and laughter, and one time get completely shocked when they find out Minji has had a crush on Yoohyeon for a year before she dared to ask her out.

After a while the bottle spinning stops but the conversation continues to flow, with Bora's body gradually also flowing closer to Siyeon's, until she ends up on the younger's lap.

Siyeon has no clue what the conversation is about, not because she doesn't care but because mostly it's all softball talk between Minji, Bora, Handong and somehow Yubin as well.

Siyeon is feeding Pringles to a half asleep Yoohyeon on Minji's shoulder, when suddenly her hand stops mid-air. At first Yoohyeon starts whining, giving Siyeon a confused glare before she spots what Siyeon is staring at.

Wendy, and half of the cheering squad appear on the back porch of Gahyeon's home.

She feels Bora stiffen in her arms, she doesn't have to look at her to know she's also noticed Wendy.

She's in a dress too short for Siyeon's taste, and she's wearing heels to match with the dark green glitters decorating her skin.

Siyeon glances at the worn out sneakers she's wearing, and cringes at herself. Bora abruptly stands from her lap, and Siyeon reaches out as an instinct when the elder almost loses her balance, the alcohol shooting straight to her head.

"I need to pee." she blurts out, and spins around to take Siyeon's hand in her own, pulling the younger up, flash against her own body. Siyeon blushes, deep, but she lets herself blame it on the alcohol. "Come with me?"

Siyeon is starstruck, the way Bora's eyes stare into hers like she could read all the secrets of her soul. Her lips look so inviting, glistening from her lip gloss and the countless bottles of beer she had.

"Uhm, get a room?!" a hazy voice, Siyeon isn't sure who it belongs to (maybe Handong) says, and that makes Bora pull back from her, only to throw her head back to let her significant laugh escape her lips.

Okay, that stings. Siyeon knows she doesn't have any chances with Bora anyways, but to actually be laughed at by her crush, ouch. That is a low blow, even if Bora is her best friend. But then she glances at Siyeon, then back at Handong.

"As if I ever had a chance." is what she says, now almost sounding a little sad. "She's out of my league."

Siyeon just stands there, dumbfounded as the air freezes, some too drunk to notice, but Siyeon suddenly feels sober.

Her? Out of Bora's league? She surely has lost her mind.

Before she could add anything, or even just say "What the fuck?!" to Bora, she's being pulled towards the house, towards Wendy and the cheering team.

Bora is relatively famous, everyone on the softball team is, so it's no surprise that people say hi to her. What is a more unusual sight is her clutching onto Siyeon like a lifeline, a side of Bora she always kept between four walls.

Once they reach the stairs that walk them up to the porch behind the house, Bora halts.

"I don't think I can go up the stairs..." she sounds a little slurry, probably all the alcohol she had sitting down is now rushing into her head.

"Bora, it's literally 4 steps." Siyeon deadpans because she can't be for real.

But the older woman just falls into her more if that's even possible, giving Siyeon no chance but to comply: she scoops Bora up in bridal style, and she giggles into Siyeon's neck once she feels her feet lifting from the ground.

Even though Siyeon herself has had more than a few to drink, she takes the stairs in a stride, holding Bora securely in her arms like it was the most important task of her life.

And to Siyeon, it is. Keeping Bora safe and happy will always be her priority, she's sure about that.

They reach the top of the stairs before they'd like, and Siyeon gently puts Bora down, making sure the older finds her balance before she lets her go completely.

Bora just beams at her like Siyeon put the stars on the sky for her, arms staying linked around Siyeon's neck. Her eyes are shining brighter than Siyeon remembers them ever doing, and for a second she thinks, what if?

What if she just kissed Bora right now? What if she got rid of all her insecurities, every single doubt in her head, and just went for it? What if she just grabs Bora's petite waist and pulls her in, just how she wanted to do so many times before.

Bora is staring at her like she's expecting something, she's grinning, with a hint of a playful smirk at the corner of her lips and that mischievous glint in her eyes. Siyeon doesn't have a single second to think, because Bora leans up suddenly, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of her lips.

"Thank you, Singnie." she mumbles, almost shy now. "You should be an athlete."

Siyeon just stands there, dumbfounded, barely recovered from what Bora said to Handong at the campfire and now she almost kisses her.

She must look like a statue, frozen in place because Bora bursts out laughing a second after and somehow manages to drag Siyeon into the house, not even giving Wendy a glance.

Helping Bora use the restroom is as big of a struggle as you can imagine, with Siyeon not being in top condition either. Once they are out, she helps Bora out, but decides to make her sit on the bench directly by the door.

"Wait here," Siyeon gives her a soft pat on the head. "I'll go get Yoohyeon to drive us home."

Bora gives her small, sleepy nods now, the alcohol in her system making it hard to keep her eyes open after a little while.

Siyeon's steps are much more steady once Bora isn't clinging to her, as she walks back to the bonfire. Gahyeon and Handong are nowhere to be found, since they are the hosts, they most likely go around to talk to everyone around the house. She finds Yoohyeon asleep on Minji's shoulder, who is in a pleasant conversation about softball with Yubin. The younger one didn't have anything to drink, and Minji also seems to be alright. Siyeon silently thanks whatever deity for that.

"Hey guys," she plops between them with a small huff. "I think Bora and I will be needing that ride from Yooh."

She gives a pleading smile to Minji, one that say 'please wake up your girlfriend and let's go home'.

"I can drive you guys, if Minji wants to stay." Yubin chimes in, but the older one waves her hands at her, before she softly starts carding her hands through Yoohyeon's hair to wake her up.

"Thank you for the offer though, Binnie." Siyeon leans her head on the younger's shoulder, patiently waiting for Yoohyeon to wake up properly, because so far, groggy little sleepy whines were the only thing leaving her mouth.

She shifts her gaze in the way of Bora, just to make sure she's still where she left her.

She wishes she didn't.

Bora is there still, but now Wendy is keeping her company. On her fucking lap. Making out with Bora.

Siyeon feels her gut wrench into tiny pieces as tears well up in her eyes. Oh God, why does she have to be an emotional drunk.

"Actually, Minji, can you guys take Bora home?" she blurts out abruptly, and she knows she's being awfully obvious as she sniffs, mouth quivering.

"Yeah, of course." She hates the look that Minji gives her, all worried and full of sympathy and love.

"Yubinnie, can I take you up on that offer?" she glances at the younger who is looking at her the same way Minji does, and she knows it's useless to try and cover up her disappointment and sadness. All of them know anyway.

"Sure, unnie." Yubin pats her back affectionately, and Siyeon lets a tear fall at last.

They wait in silence, for Siyeon to calm down and Yoohyeon to get the sleep out of her eyes before she registers that Siyeon is silently crying. She's about to ask what's wrong, but Minji nudges her and she sees Wendy all over Bora and just shakes her head with a frown.

"Siyeon unnie, we will take her home safely, don't worry." Yoohyeon reassures her, now fully awake as she squats in front of the older. "I promise."

"I know, Yooh," all she can do is not with a watery smile. "Thank you."

"And, if you wanna talk about it," Minji lands her hands on Siyeon's knee as she scoots impossibly closer. "We are here for you."

"Is it that obvious?" Siyeon asks with a small laugh now, confused on what to feel.

"Everyone except her knows, unnie." Yubin nudges her a little and Siyeon buries her head in her hands. Of course everyone except Bora knows.

"It's okay," Yooh places her head on Siyeon's knees, resembling a little puppy and Siyeon smiles through her tears.

"Yeah, I guess," Siyeon looks around with a grateful smile on her lips, waiting for Yoohyeon to stand up before she does so as well. "Will you guys make sure she gets home safe? Please message me when you drop her off."

"Of course, Siyeonie, we got it." Minji is the one to engulf her in a warm hug, a hug that makes Siyeon's lips tremble again.

After she hugs Yoohyeon goodbye as well, to Siyeon's surprise, Yubin grabs her hand and leads her to the back door, towards the porch where the reason for her tears is sitting.

"Do you want to tell her you're coming with me or should I?" Yubin gives her hand a soft squeeze as she asks, and Siyeon's heart warms a little. Yubin really is chivalrous, the nickname 'prince' fitting her too perfectly.

"I can tell her Binnie, thank you." Siyeon's tear laced voice isn't convincing, but she will try her best nevertheless.

She walks the same stairs she did barely an hour ago, with Bora in her arms, now an iron tight grip on Yubin's hand.

"Bora," she calls out rather loudly, scared if she is less firm her voice will break.

Both Bora and Wendy whip their heads in her way, and there is something on the older's face Siyeon can't read. For a split second it seems like ... jealousy? That cannot possibly be, while she's staring at Siyeon with Wendy's lipstick smudged all over her face. But Bora's eyes do travel to their interlaced fingers, and Yubin stands there so unwaveringly that Siyeon makes a mental note to buy her hot chocolate before their next band practice.

"What's up, Singnie?" Bora questions as her gaze finally finds Siyeon's own, and suddenly seems rather stiff trapped under Wendy.

"I'm going with Yubin," Siyeon shakes their hands lightly, enjoying the unpleasant, almost offended look on Bora's face. Good. "But Minji and Yoohyeon said they will take you home, so find them if you need that ride, okay?"

"I thought we were going together?" Bora looks at her with those pretty, shining, loving eyes and Siyeon feels tears well up in her eyes again. She opens and closes her mouth, trying to get a sound out, but thankfully Yubin is aware that she needs some assistance.

"Yeah, she just didn't want to bother you and it seemed like you're having fun so I offered I will take her home." Yubin explains, calm and reasonable, much more collected than Siyeon's 'You making out with your ex-girlfriend wasn't in the plans tonight and oh by the way I am madly in love with you' would have been.

"Oh," the light dies in Bora's eyes a little, her gaze finding Siyeon's again, who tries her best to hide her tears. "Will you be okay, Singnie?"

"Yeah, Binnie is sober, she's got me." Siyeon, just to emphasize, clings onto Yubin, and loves the way Bora actually becomes offended when the younger's left hand comes around her waist and rests on her stomach.

"Text me when you're home?" Bora gives her That look, full of worry and something else Siyeon doesn't want to, or dare to read into. Before she can stop it, hope settles in her brain again.

"Always, Bboya." She gives her a soft smile and wants to step closer and caress her hair, but it would be weird with Wendy sitting on her lap. So she just blows her a kiss before she adds, "You message me as well, promise?"

"You know damn well I will." Bora cackles and raises her small hand to wave at Siyeon.

"Okay then, see you tomorrow!" Siyeon says at lasts before she enters the house, tears welling in her eyes before she could stop them.

"You did great, unnie!" Yubin leans close to her ear, the music playing in the house sounding much louder now than before, and she sticks to Siyeon's side, not wanting to lose the older girl in the crowd.

Once in Yubin's car, the younger hands the AUX to Siyeon, knowing that because of the band, their tastes match very well with each other.

Yubin smiles when Metallica starts somewhat softly blasting through her speakers. She adjusts the volume before she starts to back off of Gahyeon's driveway.

"So, do you wanna talk about it?" she eventually asks when Siyeon is just staring out the window, completely zoned out.

"I mean," she snorts, smiling sadly at the lampposts they are passing by. "What is there to talk about, really? I like her, hell, I am in love with her, but she likes Wendy."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that, unnie." Yubin reaches to place a comforting hand on Siyeon's knee. "She seemed jealous when she saw you with me."

"I think she just doesn't like the idea of not being able to be touchy with me." She sounds defeated and sad, as she grabs Yubin's hand to pinch the skin around her knuckles.

"That doesn't sound like something two friends would have going on, but whatever floats your boat." Yubin giggles as she stops at a redlight, glancing at Siyeon who now has a small smile on her face. "All I'm saying is, don't give up because at least one of us has a chance with their crush and it's not me."

"Thanks, Binnie." Siyeon sighs, but then her brain registers what her friend said and she almost jumps out of her seat as she asks, "WAIT YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON SOMEONE?"

"Aish, unnie, I can't play for the band if I go deaf!" Yubin clutches her right ear with her free hand, but laughs nevertheless. "I do, but...it's complicated."

"Wanna tell me about it?" Siyeon asks, gentle this time, her finger continuously playing with the soft skin on Yubin's hand.

"Well, the thing is...it's not one person.'' Now it's Yubin's time to be defeated, as she parks in front of Siyeon's apartment, and turns to the older. "It's Dong unnie and Gahyeon."

"Oh, wow." is all Siyeon can get out, eyes wide, staring at Yubin as if she had 3 heads or something.

"See, mine is MUCH WORSE than-" Yubin wants to pull her hand away to bury her head in them, but Siyeon's grip tightens.

"No, Binnie, it's okay, that's totally alright!" Siyeon hurries to say, not wanting Yubin to think that she thinks it's weird. "I can see why you like them so much, they are both so sweet."

"So, you don't think I'm like...not okay in the head for that?" Yubin sounds nervous, and Siyeon begins to wonder if she is the first one to know about her friend's crushes.

"I think it's wonderful your heart can fit multiple people in it, Binnie." the older reassures, giving an extra squeeze to Yubin's hands.

"Oh, that's a nice way to think of it, unnie." Yubin seems to be calmer now, and a lot lighter, with a childlike smile appearing on her lips as she shyly asks, "So you think I could have a chance?"

"I think you do, Yubinnie." Siyeon's gaze is so honest Yubin can't do anything else but to believe her. "Thank you for the ride, by the way. Let me know when you got home safe?"

"Anytime, unnie." Yubin squeezes her hand one last time, and before Siyeon could get out of the car, she adds, "And just for the record, I think Bora unnie is in love with you, she's just too dense to realize."

"Thank you for encouraging me, Binnie."

With that, Siyeon gets out of the younger's car and waves her off, waits until her back lights disappear down the street before she heads into her apartment.

Once she's all washed up in her bed, she grabs her phone to keep her promise to Bora. Much to her surprise, there are messages waiting for her already.

[Bboya] - 2:47 am
made it home, singnie
i miss you
are you okay?
singnie ... ?

Siyeon smiles at the screen, and hates how even these 4 short messages make her heart thump in her chest.

[Singnie] - 3:05 am
just got to bed, bboya, sorry i didn't see your messages
i miss you too
i'm fine, go sleep now <3

The reply is immediate from Bora.

[Bboya] - 3:06 am
thank god <3333
I thought yubin kidnapped you >:(

[Singine] - 3:06 am
no she didn't :D
i thought you would be with wendy ... :o

Siyeon decides to play dirty, if Bora can be possessive than so can she.

[Bboya] - 3:07 am
silly singnie...
let's sleep now, see you tomorrow ... or well today
night night i love you <333333

[Singnie] - 3:08 am
goodnight, i love you too <333

Siyeon puts her phone down and decides to wander off to dreamland with a smile on her face. Maybe they will be okay.

They have to be.

Siyeon is in the middle of her Marvel marathon at 12am on a night well into summer break when her phone rings out of the blue.

It can only be one person, she assumes, so she reaches for her phone and takes the call without hesitation.

"Yes?" her voice is shaking a little, a tad bit scared, having no clue why Bora is calling her in the middle of the night.

"Can I come over?" is the first thing she says, but as far as Siyeon is concerned, Bora is in the car already, based on the sounds filtering through her speaker.

"You know you always can, Bboya." Siyeon reassures, but her eyebrows draw together when she hears a sniff on the other end. "Everything's okay?"

"Please don't make me cry while I drive." Bora sounds bittersweet and strangely quiet. "I'll tell you when I get there."

"I'll be waiting for you."

Siyeon is sitting on needles for the next 20 minutes, just eagerly waiting to finally see Bora's headlights appear from the kitchen window.

When she spots the familiar car, she's already rushing to the door and takes the elevator down to the entrance of her apartment, and flings the door open.

There she is, swallowed in a huge hoodie that Siyeon recognizes as her own. The older can't see her face but in the dead silence of the night she can hear another sniff and she can't handle just standing there anymore in the doorway, waiting for Bora to walk up to her.

She jogs down the stairs and meets her halfway between her car and the entrance, and without a question, she takes Bora in her arms. She can feel the older relax into her embrace, as her small arms come around her waist, and engulf her in a tight hug.

Given that after the messy end of semester party Bora and Wendy started dating again, Siyeon knows exactly what's wrong, and she already knows the cure to Bora's sadness. So she lets the older silently cry into her neck under the lone lamppost that stands in the middle of the parking lot. She tries to pry her off just enough to go inside the apartment, but Bora doesn't seem to want to let go. She whines when she feels Siyeon hands on her shoulders and her hold only tightens on her waist.

"Bora, we need to go inside." She tries to reason softly, and Bora only adjusts her hold so that she's linking her arms around Siyeon's neck instead.

"Carry me then?" Bora mumbles, and the younger barely understands what she's saying, but when she does she lets a childlike laugh bubble up from her chest.

"Really, Bboya?" She tries to joke it off, but in reality she's hoping Bora can't hear how hard her heart is pounding in her chest.

"You already proved to me how strong you actually are at that party, so please Sing?" and her voice is so desperate and weak that Siyeon can only comply. Bora's wish is her command.

So she reaches under Bora's thighs without further ado, and lifts the older into her arms. Her short legs link around Siyeon's waist immediately, and she just lets Siyeon carry her up to the entrance, into the elevator, up to her apartment and only lets go when she has to take her shoes off at the entry.

They move around in the small one bedroom apartment like a well oiled machine, Bora already taking her rightful place in the bed, while Siyeon grabs two beers from the fridge and places an order for korean spicy chicken and tteokbokki on her phone.

She plops down next to Bora and it's not a surprise that the older one cuddles into her immediately. Before Siyeon knows, Marvel is long gone from her screen, instead their playlist full of their favorite songs appears. Bora lets it play in the background quietly, but none of them speak up.

Siyeon knows better than to push Bora, she will eventually open up whenever she wants to. Knowing her, it won't take a long time at all anyways.

Bora is grateful that Siyeon doesn't force her to talk. Mostly because she hasn't got the slightest idea how to voice her thoughts. She's always been a person of actions, her primary love language being physical touch.

So other than that, she doesn't really know how to confess to Siyeon.

Telling her about breaking up with Wendy is one thing, and honestly it's not even the reason why Bora is crying. She's crying because she is terrified. Terrified of ruining a life long friendship if she confesses, but terrified of dying under the weight of not being able to tell Siyeon how she truly feels about her.

Especially because Siyeon and Yubin have been hanging out a lot more recently. Bora doesn't really know where to put their sudden closeness, but she can't deny the jealousy she feels when she thinks about Siyeon with Yubin.

"So, I broke up with Wendy." Bora starts, getting the easier thing out the way first. "For good this time. I realized it's not healthy to play this push and pull game when it's clear that we just don't match each other."

"I see Bboya," Siyeon's hand finds its way into Bora's hair, and cards through her locks. "I'm sorry."

"I'm not really..." Bora tries to hide her giggle in Siyeon's neck as she finds her free hand, and interlaces their fingers together. "We all knew it would come eventually."

"I didn't!" Siyeon plays fake offense, and lets herself laugh as well. "I really thought you are head over heels for her."

"I was," Bora states, her small thumb drawing circles on the back of Siyeon's hand. "Or at least that's what I thought but..."

"But...?" Siyeon prompts when Bora trails off but doesn't continue and she can't help but feel hope blooming in her chest again.

"You know my dream, Singnie." Bora whispers, voice suddenly thick with tears again. "I want to be a coach, I want to teach kids to follow their dreams and passions and to never give up."

"I know, Bboya, and you will be an excellent coach." Siyeon replies, despite knowing where all of this suddenly came from and where it's going.

"There is a part of my dream I didn't tell you about though." Bora suddenly disappears from Siyeon's embrace as she sits up on the bed, and turns to face Siyeon, who also sits up with Bora, and leans against the headboard of the bed.

"Tell me then." Siyeon smiles, ever so warm and reassuring that Bora has to avert her gaze and hopes the blush creeping on her cheeks doesn't give her away.

"It's silly," she starts, and finds Siyeon's fingers again to fiddle with them. "But, I always imagined having a big family as well. Wife, and lots of kids. A home full of laughter and fun and happiness, you know?"

"You always said you'd be a superstar player living in a maison with a bunch of women drooling over you if coaching didn't work out." Siyeon mentions with a small smile, squeezing Bora's hands, encouraging her to go on.

"That was just the story I made up so that I don't seem lame..." Bora admits sheepishly and Siyeon wants to kiss her so badly her chest starts to hurt. "In reality, I always wanted the clishé life. The one I never got to have as a kid."

"Nothing is wrong with that, you know." Siyeon reassures, and the small smile creeping on Bora's face makes her relax a little.

The ring of the doorbell startles both of them, and Siyeon giggles when she realizes she ordered food. She gives Bora an apologetic smile before she pulls her up, and leads her to the small half kitchen, and dining area, not forgetting to grab their beers.

"Can you set up some plates for us while I get this?" Siyeon is already on her way to open the door and take the fried chicken tteokbokki combo from the delivery guy.

Bora in the meantime prepares two plates and their assigned chopsticks, and thinks about the domesticity of it all. How she wouldn't mind doing this for the rest of her life. Even if it's almost 1am, and they are eating take-out, and the playlist blends into the sounds seeping in from the city below that never sleeps.

Siyeon brings the bags to the table and carefully unpacks the food, and they dig in as fast as they can. They chat away in the meantime, about nothing and everything in general, and Bora knows that sooner or later, she has to tell Siyeon about her feelings. The words that sit prominently on the tip of her tongue yet she never has the courage to spill them out. Now with Yubin in the picture, she's almost sure she missed her shot anyways.

They settle back on Siyeon's bed, but Bora seems to be far in her head, so Siyeon slowly reaches for her hand, and gives her a questioning look. Bora decides to ask about Yubin.

"I was just wondering," Bora starts, obviously nervous, not daring to meet Siyeon's eyes. It hurts the younger one a little. "If is there anything you're not telling me, Singnie?"

That is the moment Siyeon starts to Panic. So Bora knows. Bora knows it ALL. She doesn't know why, but she pulls her hand away, and Bora's eyes flash with hurt, jealousy and something else Siyeon can't decipher at first.

She feels ashamed, and wants nothing more than her bed opening up under her and swallowing her as a whole.

They sit in silence that can't be longer than 10 seconds but to them it feels like an eternity before Siyeon finally speaks up.

"Bora, I-" the words die in her throat too fast, when she chokes on her tears. She knows it's no use to try and cover up her emotions now. If it comes out ugly, then may be it. "I didn't know how to tell you."

"Siyeon, we are best friends for fuck's sake!" Bora doesn't yell, not this time how she usually does, instead she sounds defeated and frustrated. "I thought we would tell each other everything."

"I mean," Siyeon sniffles, and can only hope that Bora won't hate her. "This wasn't exactly something that I could just ... tell you." Siyeon reasons, and she thinks she's being reasonable.

"But why?! Why is telling me that you have a girlfriend so hard for you to do?" Bora now sounds offended, her voice louder this time.

Siyeon whips her head up immediately, and her gaze locks with Bora's. There is fire in her eyes, and if Siyeon isn't mistaken she can see tears glistening in them as well.

What the fuck is Bora talking about?

Siyeon must look like a deer caught in the headlights, her mouth opening and closing multiple times, unable to utter a reply. Bora springs to her feet, pacing around the room, and before Siyeon could speak up, she continues.

"Why didn't you tell me you're dating Yubin from your band?" Bora questions, a little hurt, her gaze finding anything else but Siyeon's own.

No, for real, what the actual fuck is this girl going on about? Siyeon, dating Yubin? That's the most ridiculous thing she has ever heard.

"Because I'm not...?" Siyeon is quite unsure where all of this is coming from in the first place, her tone begging for further explanation. She can't take her eyes off of Bora's side profile in the faint lighting of her room.

Sure thing, Yubin and her have been spending more time together recently, working in earnest to put 'Mission Impossible (but according to Lee Siyeon highly possible): Make Handong and Gahyeon both fall in love with Yubin' into action at full force. So Siyeon admits she has spent more nights at Yubin's house, but to think that Bora had the audacity to think there is something going on between them, makes a scoff settle on her face.

If Bora's eyes were sharpshooters Siyeon for sure would be bleeding out by now with the force and speed at which Bora whips her head in Siyeon's way.

"Wait, you aren't?" There's relief, confusion and happiness taking over Bora's expressions before she approaches Siyeon again. "I thought..."

"You jumped into your silly conclusions before we could even talk about things." Siyeon gives her a smile, being the first one to raise the white flag. It's not like they fought, but still. Even the thought of not being on the best terms with Bora makes her heart clench in her sternum.

"But wait," Bora catches on way too fast, and Siyeon decides that Now would be the perfect time for the ground to open for real. "What were you talking about then? The thing you couldn't tell me?"

Siyeon can feel the color disappear from her face, now her being the one avoiding Bora's gaze at all costs.

Her mindset is nowhere near stable enough to be able to come up with a lie; a lie that Bora doesn't see through in a heartbeat, and she couldn't bring herself anyways to tell Bora anything but the truth. Keeping silent is one thing; being interrogated is a whole nother level. She never felt like she's lying to Bora, because she's never been questioned. Now, that she's sitting in the spotlight of the moon (she isn't sure if she means the actual orbit or Bora's unwavering gaze), she knows her defeat is within a mile radius.

Her walls come crashing down symbolized by tears streaming down her face once again.

"That I..." She starts, and the words she's about to say are burning her tongue, hot and aching to be spat out. She isn't sure she can do it though.

"That you what, Lee Siyeon?" Bora doesn't seem impatient, she sounds full of anticipation and something akin to childish excitement.

Siyeon abruptly stands up, not being able to face Bora, or handle the feeling of her burning gaze on her skin. She crosses her arm, wishing that the ball of anxiety just disappeared from her chest, and she decides it's now or never.

"That I like you, Bora."

If music wasn't playing in the background, the silence would kill her. She feels sudden anger boiling behind her ribs now that her anxiety is gone. Why isn't Bora saying anything to her.

Siyeon is fast to turn around, facing the older girl, her eyes throwing lightning in her way.

"Did you hear me?" She doesn't shout, but there are many emotions veiled in her voice. Hurt, relief, disbelief, hope. "I like you! Hell, I love you, Kim Bora! And I've loved you for ages, ever since third grade of elementary school! There you have it. That's the truth, the thing I never told you about."

The expression on Bora's face is impossible to read. Mostly it's surprise, but a tiny voice in the back of Siyeon's mind is making her hope it's the good kind.

It feels as if time is ticking backwards, the prolonged silence of Bora makes Siyeon wish she could run out of her own house. But she doesn't, she just stands there, defeated, and ready to take whatever comes her way. She knows she most likely fucked up big time. That Bora will ask her to stay away from her from now on and that she doesn't want to be near Siyeon because it's just weird. She should not be in love with her best friend.

The older girl suddenly is standing in front of her. Siyeon is scared to meet her eyes, but Bora reaches out with her small, warm hands, taking Siyeon's face between her ever-soft palms. Once Bora's gaze meets hers, the younger notices tears shining in them, mirroring Siyeon's.

"Say it again, Singnie." she whispers, her gaze unwavering and so firm that a shiver runs down Siyeon's spine. "Into my eyes, please."

"I like you Bora, more than a friend. I love you, more than a friend. You mean the world to me." Siyeon sighs out, tension releasing from her shoulder when Bora doesn't pull away, only more tears gather in her eyes. "And I understand if you end up hating me for this, but I-"

Siyeon doesn't expect warm lips to cut her off mid-sentence.

Bora's lips taste a little like beer and fried chicken, but Siyeon doesn't care. She spent the majority of her life wishing Bora would kiss her like there is no tomorrow. She's suddenly on autopilot, hands finding Bora's waist to lock her in her embrace.

The kiss is short, but passionate and full of emotions, emotions that none of them dared to tell the other, buried deep within their hearts.

Bora pulls away painfully slowly, and her eyes stay closed even after their lips have parted.

"Please tell me if I open my eyes you will be here and you won't disappear like you usually do when I wake up from a dream?" Bora sounds so hopeful, so fragile and weak that Siyeon can't help but lean in and kiss her again softly.

"I'm here, Bora." she answers in the same, soft tone, as if they were standing on clouds. "I've been here all along."

Bora's eyes flutter open, revealing her gorgeous orbs gazing at Siyeon from under her eyelashes with so much love Siyeon can't stop the smile stretching on her lips.

She just kissed Bora. To be correct, Bora kissed her. Siyeon can't actually wrap her mind around what just happened, at all if she wants to be honest. She's been suffering in silence for so long and she could never forget how much she actually longed to be more than just Bora's friend. And now they just kissed.

"Siyeon, I love you so much, I've loved you ever since I can remember..." Bora sighs out and her hands travel to link behind Siyeon's neck. "But why did you never tell me, Singnie?"

Siyeon can feel blush creep on her cheeks upon Bora's words. She isn't sure the world will stop spinning anytime soon.

"I was terrified, Bboya," Siyeon leans forward, her forehead meeting Bora's, breathing in the same air with her. "I didn't want to lose you...I never thought you could love me back, you know?"

"Silly Singnie, I love you more than words could ever describe." Bora can't help but launch forward again, taking Siyeon's lips between her own, to show her how much she actually means what she says.

How many nights she has spent awake thinking about what is the use of dating these poor other girls when they aren't Siyeon and she only wants Siyeon.

Now she has Siyeon, in her arms, kissing her.

Siyeon's hands find their way under Bora's hoodie, holding onto her warm skin instead, not believing how lucky she is that now she gets to Actually do this, not just think about it while guilt eats her alive.

They pull aways with heavy breaths, not really knowing where one of them ends and the other begins as Bora hides in Siyeon's neck and hugs her so tight she has never before.

"Why didn't you say anything to me, though." Siyeon ponders, not even sure if she said her thoughts out loud or not.

"I just didn't think you'd ever be interested in me." Bora's voice is dreamy as she sighs out. "You're so perfect and out of my league, I really didn't ever dare to dream of being with you one day."

"I'm not out of your league, Bora." Siyeon pushes her away just a few centimeters, just to be able to look into her eyes. "You said that at that stupid party, and I was so taken aback then."

"Oh, the stupid party where I basically confessed to you how I feel and then you left with Yubin, that party?" Bora's question is portrayed playful, but Siyeon can tell there is a thorn in her soul.

"Yes, also the party where you started making out with Wendy out of nowhere making me bawl my eyes out for the remainder of the night, yes that party." Siyeon decides to play dirty, and also now she has nothing to hide. She can be honest about how jealous she has been of Wendy. And all of Bora's other exes in fact.

The blush creeping on Bora's face is straight up adorable and Siyeon can't help but lean down to kiss her again. And again. And again.

"I'm sorry I was so dense," Bora mumbles against her lips once they part, never truly separating, only having a few millimeters between their lips.

"It's okay, Bboya," For the first time in her life, Siyeon actually means it. Because Bora now belongs to her. Or well, not officially yet. The thought suddenly makes her nervous again, as she realizes she wants to ask Bora out properly. "However..."

She pulls away hesitantly, with a hopeful spark in her eyes. Bora looks at her with that significant mischievous glint in her eyes, obviously expecting the question she knows is coming.

"I was wondering if I could take you on a proper date?" Siyeon's question is more like a statement, she now knows what Bora's answer will be.

Instead of using words, Bora kisses her again, fingers slipping into Siyeon's hair at the nape of her neck, scratching her tattoo softly. Siyeon hums into the kiss, loving the way Bora's lips feel against her own, already addicted to her kisses.

Siyeon guides them slowly to lay back on the bed, falling on top of Bora carefully to not crush her as they keep on kissing, finally free, letting go of all of the pent up emotions and feelings they had for each other.

She knows she doesn't have to ask, Bora will stay the night. After all, officially or not, Bora belongs with her now.

Siyeon can't remember the crowd being so loud at any game the softball team has had. It's the opening game of the season, and for some reason the bleachers are full with the students of the university.

Siyeon and Yoohyeon sit together in the front, as per usual, while Yubin and Gahyeon sit a few rows behind. Siyeon gives them a small wave, and smiles in triumph when she sees Handong walk up to them with three corndogs, pressing a soft kiss to both of their foreheads before she sits between them.

Yubin confessed to Handong and Gahyeon a few weeks after Siyeon and Bora got together, and not much to Siyeon's surprise, the couple was open to the idea of dating Yubin. They are still in the early phase, figuring things out as they go, but Yubin is on cloud 9, and that is all that matters to Siyeon.

For the first time in her life, without shame she can stare at Bora's figure as she warms up at the side of the field. She still loves the uniform, but now she prefers to see Bora in her own clothing (or in nothing).

She spots Wendy, not a surprise, as she's still the captain of the cheer team. She's chatting away with a group of 4 girls, two in cheering uniforms alike to hers. She's holding the hand tightly of the girl who looks like a little teddy bear. They look cute together, even though Siyeon doesn't know if they are actually a couple or not.

She turns her gaze back to Bora with a dreamy smile. Both her and Yoohyeon are wrapped up in the baseball jackets of their significant others, and they are munching away on their usual box of fries, waiting for the game to kick off.

"This is your first time seeing her play as your girlfriend," Yoohyeon mentions, pointing to Bora with a french fry. "She seems too antsy. Is she nervous?"

"It's her ego," Siyeon giggles, ripping her eyes away from Bora for a second to look at Yoohyeon. "She thinks that now that we are dating she has to show off her skills to me. She just wants to do good."

"She will, she always does." Yoohyeon offers Siyeon a fry which she happily takes. "And you know, Minji was the same for a while. But she knows I'm proud of her whatever the outcome is."

"I'll make sure Bora knows that too.'' The sigh coming out of Siyeon's mouth is dreamy, and as on cue, the player duo starts walking up to them, meaning that they want their good luck kisses for the game that is about to start in a few minutes.

"Look at them gossiping about us, Minji-yah!" Bora sounds happy and energized as per usual, and to Siyeon, she looks a thousand times prettier than one second ago, her skin glowing, radiating happiness.

"For once, you're right." Yoohyeon sheepishly admits, reaching out for Minji's hand to interlace their fingers. Siyeon does the same, kissing Bora's knuckles as she does so.

"We were talking about how cool you guys are and how proud we are of you.'' The look in Siyeon's eyes melts everything inside Bora, she looks at her with so much love and pride, Bora can't help but puff her chest a little, trying to ignore the blush that is creeping on her cheeks and ears.

"Well thank you, cuties." Minji's giggle is louder than the music, and she leans down to press a kiss to Yoohyeon's lips softly before she adds, "We have to get going now, cheer loudly for us!"

Yoohyeon just nods erratically, looking like a lovesick puppy, making the three other girls laugh. Bora jumps off the little fence that she's been sitting on and turns to Siyeon.

"I want to leave this with you." she fiddles with the friendship ring trapped between her small fingers, that they both decided to keep wearing despite being a lot more than friends now, and hands it to Siyeon.

"Singnie, this is for you." she adds with a nervous tremble in her voice, something that she never forgets to say before games, and this is the first time she gets to tell it directly to the younger girl.

Siyeon stands up so abruptly that she gets a little dizzy, with a surprising confidence as she slips the ring in her pocket. Her fist comes up to grab the front of Bora's uniform subtly, pulling her up for a soft, but very passionate kiss.

"You got this, baby." the whisper against her lips makes Bora involuntarily shiver, and she can't help to peck Siyeon's lips again, not caring about the crowd around them.

"Thank you, my love." She eventually draws away from Siyeon, much to her dislike, but she has a game to play.

She gives Siyeon one last small wave before she jogs after Minji, ready for the game more than ever.

"Okay, hottest couple on campus, chill out before I get jealous." Yoohyeon pokes her tongue out, mock annoyance, teasing Siyeon is something she has enjoyed ever since they became friends.

"Sush and be happy for me, you menace." Siyeon is fast to tease right back, and she can't seem to wipe the smile off her face.

Why would she want to? When she's the happiest she's ever been her whole life. Once the buzzer goes off, signaling the start of the game, Siyeon can't keep her eyes off of Bora. Again, why would she want to? She can now freely drool over her perfect girlfriend.

Yes, her girlfriend.

Bora officially belongs with her just as much as Siyeon belongs with Bora.

They belong with each other.
