The Blinded Wife and Mother, Hwang Hyunjin. [skzfam universe]

Summary:

[Making my own lore of skzfamily drama because it's not enough. I need more pain]

Hyunjin married a man who grew up with too much love his little body could ever contain, and maybe that's the reason why he's always ready to share his love.

And Hyunjin is just a woman who would turn everything but her love for her husband.

in short, Jisung is a cheater and Hyunjin is his blinded wife and a mother of a child she doesn't even own.

Chapter Text

"I'm so sorry, baby. I swear I—"

"Enough."

Hyunjin finally breathes out, with enough strength since her lungs were getting tighter and tighter each minute after hearing her husband's word.

"... I— I never thought this would happen. I... I never wanted to have that child with her. Baby, love, please believe me."

Her husband's pleading has always sound so convincing. Hyunjin hated herself for letting him get away with everything, everytime.

She's not an idiot. Of course she knows Jisung was seeing somebody else from the very beginning, and maybe even before they met when Felix, Jisung's father introduced them to each other. The man barely paid attention to her even when with how confident she is that she's the most beautiful thing he could ever lay his eyes upon, he would rather look somewhere else.

But after years of dating, Jisung has been the sweetest man, especially with his words; guessing that's why he's so good at playing this apology game with Hyunjin.

Always asking for forgiveness when he's caught leaving late at night, or coming back home smelling like sweet overly burnt vanilla perfume... So much for a married man to smell like other woman.

People would always say that Hyunjin's husband has always been good at doing the most unexpected things, he's a genius— the night he got back home with the news Hyunjin almost couldn't bear has proven that theory.

A child, from another woman? Definitely unexpected.

"Love, please. Please don't leave me I— I— We— I can say the child's not mine please just, please don't leave me—"

"My god shut up, Shut up! Jisung!"

She can feel the droplet of tears as it slowly cascade down her cheeks, overcome with frustration upon hearing her husband say such inhuman words, the possibility of him doing such immoral act thinking that's she'd forgive him for it. She'd take everything, turn a blind eye to all the shit he's done, but not the shame of having her own husband, the one she married with confidence run away from responsibility.

As nauseating as the situation is, Hyunjin is aware that the chances of her leaving Jisung was closest to zero... She couldn't bear to disappoint the couple who practically raised her ever since, can't let them know the betrayal their loving oldest have done and she's grown to love the man enough for her to accept their marriage.

A child? That wouldn't be so hard to manage.

Call her a martyr and all but she thought that if Jisung's still begging her for forgiveness, that means he's not planning to leave her for another woman still, and Hyunjin has no idea whoever the woman her husband was seeing and she's yet to see the child. If the woman plans on keeping the child without any fight, that would be okay. If she's planning to give the custody to Hyunjin's stupid husband, that would be okay as well. Hyunjin always wanted a child of her own anyway... (well, the child wouldn't be 'hers' but it doesn't matter.)

But speaking of woman, does she even know that the stupid, adorable man she's about to have a child with is married?

"... Does she know?"

"—Jin... What?"

She sighed, wiping her stained eyes and clearing her throat to sound more firmer.

"Stupid, stupid idiot." She murmurs, "Does she know that you're married?"

Jisung looks adorable when he's confused— it's annoying her even more. He's looking like an innocent child caught stealing candies from local stores but in reality murdered people and committed multiple crimes.

Marrying this man was that one mistake Hyunjin could never stop herself from doing over and over again.

"She does. But, baby I promise you I don't plan on leaving you nor did I plan to have a child with her— it's a mistake and, and maybe the child's not even mine! Hyunjin, baby you know how much I love you, only you—"

How easy for Hyunjin's husband to say those words. 'I love you' 'only you', Jisung is always full of love. He has loving parents, friends and almost all people he'd meet immediately loves him. Maybe because his heart is too big, that's why he's so good with sharing his love from one person to another.

And Hyunjin, well... people only loves her because they thought she had the same value as the diamonds they can never obtain, She's beautiful, pleasing to the eye and that's all she could ever be. A trophy wife.

"Take the child and bring it home. This is your final chance, Han Jisung. You have to raise that child here where I can see everything, because there's no way I'm letting you run away from the very mistake you've made."

[hyunjin loves art made by her own hands. she'd pour all for a small piece, turn everything to paints of oils and pastels. hyunjin loves art as much as she loves to love the pain of loving her husband.]

"Mommy?" It was a small, shy voice Hyunjin can always recognise at once. The door of her studio slightly opened as it reveals a little man with a troubled expression... and he looks adorable that Hyunjin couldn't help but smile.

She slowly walked towards the door and crouches down in front of her visitor.

"Binnie, baby. What brings you to visit mama at this hour sweet boy?"

Hyunjin ruffles the boy's fluffy locks. The gentleness on her voice made the boy smile, and slowly, he took a step forward to wrap himself around Hyunjin who in return, took the action by surprise.

A few heartbeats before she heard a soft sniffle, "...Binnie, What's wrong?"

"I— hmp— had a bad dream..." The boy whispered softly, and Hyunjin could feel his hiccups. A sudden thought made her smile to herself, her son sure is as adorable and clingy as her husband. Gently, she hushes the boy by patting and circling on his back softly, saying that it's just a bad dream and she'd take it away from him.

"Mommy will vacuum those bad, bad dreams away from you, Binnie!"

She said with her voice silly, making the boy laugh.

Hyunjin had almost forgotten all the things that occured before Changbin came to their lives, and for the last 7 years everything was going well for them. Hyunjin would always say to herself that Changbin is her son, and nobody else could ever claim him.

But what Changbin said next tore her heart into pieces.

"In my dream I was with daddy and you're saying goodbye to us. I don't want you to leave, Mommy! I don't want to go with daddy!"

It's just a dream. A silly, silly dream most children would have. But it terrifies Hyunjin so much she had to hug her son as if he's about to actually leave her behind and go somewhere else without her. She had almost forgotten, but that doesn't mean she couldn't remember everything.

"... Mommy won't let you go anywhere without her, baby. I promise."

She's holding onto the mistake her loving husband made, and there's no way she's letting go.
