Chapter Text
It was a causal day for the boys, annoying each other in class, harassing each other out of class, and finally feeling the freedom of each other when they were together. The idea that they would break the rules provided by the school was almost a daily occurrence, and the main culprit? Jian Yi. He could never control himself from doing whatever he pleased at any given moment, but this outburst was particularly memorable.
*footsteps heading towards the door*
*BANG*
“Did you guys see?? They finally stopped doing construction work on the stairs leading up to the rooftop!!”
The three boys glared at Jian Yi with an exhausted look.
“..and? What’s there to do up there? The doors locked, you know.”
He replied. Zheng Xi was probably the only reasonable one out of the group, and somehow always got roped into whatever stupid ideas Jian came up with, almost feeling sympathy for him when he didn’t get his way.
“But, you don’t understand! If we wait until after the bell, we can watch the sunset from the roof! And, we won’t get in trouble as there are extra sport events happening in the park until 7, so we have the school all to ourselves!!”
There was a pause in the other boys movements.
“So what? It’s not like going up there would be any fun. We’re in our final year shithead, use the time for studying!!”
“Aww please momo?.. I won’t ask for anything EVER again~~!!!!”
“Tch, you’re so fucking annoying.”
“Hmph! Well, if you guys aren’t coming, I guess I’ll take a pretty girl up with me instead!”
“Pfft- and? It’s not like we care-“
“I’ll go.”
“..huh? Zheng Xi, why would you be convinced by this idiot?”
“…..Well, for starters, who knows what would happen if he did take a girl up there? And secondly, no one would willing go with him, not after he ruined his reputation with all the disgusting shit he does.”
“Hey xixi! That’s mean! Girls like me!”
“You’re right. I guess we have no choice.”
“C’mon! Don’t come with just because of that!!”
“Shit, I guess I’m forced into it. Cant leave him alone for a second or he’ll end up dead!”
“What do you mean, momo!! I’m not that ridiculous!!”
“Yeah yeah, sure. We believe you.”
“Sigh, you’re really awful you guys!!”

“So, just HOW do you plan to break the heavy duty lock attached to the door you were so fond of?”
“..uh, I,,brought a hammer with me!! I can just break it obviously!!”
“You fucking idiot?! You can’t just break this shitty school property!! You’ll get suspended again!!”
“Oh well~ ! That’s future me’s problem! As they say, live in the present~!!!!!”
“Dammit, you’re a bigger idiot than I thought.”
*SMASH!*
“AH! I it broke!”
“OF COURSE IT FUCKING DID??”
“…I’m speechless. You truly did that with no hesitation, didn’t ya, Yi?”
“Nope! If you hesitate, life only becomes harder!”
“Haha…I guess you’ll never change.”
“Shut up! Look, look!! The suns about to set, let’s sit down, quick!!”
“Yep, we’re coming, Jian.”

“…wow…it’s more beautiful than I thought!!”
“Yeah..I guess it is.”
“Hehehe~…aren’t you glad you came now? You can even see all the stars!!”
Jian Yi stood up
“You see, it’s so beautiful!! Huh..?”
From the sky, delicate drops of water rained down upon them, creating a colourful abyss that made the sky look as if it was completely filled with the happiness Jian Yi was feeling in that moment.
His lips parted, and a smile danced across his face. His eyes were glistening, and the air was a sparkly, dazed rainbow, with a dusky haze and almost clouded sky behind the angelic figure. The beauty that the three boys witnessed from sitting mere meters away, made every single one of them look at Jian Yi in a way they never had; with desire. A pink flush radiated from their faces, and in an attempt to hide their embarrassment, covered with some part of their arm, pretending as if the rain was too strong, and they couldn’t stay outside much longer. After an everlasting stare that was projected on the night sky by one, the other three were deciding how they should go about this disaster.

“Wow…l-…beautiful..” -He tian
“Ohno” -mo guan Shan, slowly melting into his thoughts.
Jian Yi broke contact with the sky and turned around, noticing the boys flushed expressions.
“What’s up..? Was it not what you were expecting? HUUUH- WAS IT NOT AS BEAUTIFUL AS I THOUGHT?! Impossible!! So, are you okay? Don’t tell me you fell for my charms within that brief momen-“
“Shut up..Yi…please…”
“..okay.”
Jian Yi took a quiet glance over all of his friends, and felt a light blush flush against his face.
“Haha..how funny..that’s not the reaction I would have expected from you group of bullies…but…it’s nice.”
The colour only became more obvious, and all of their attempts were in vain.
One final smile shone off of Jian yi’s face as the ending moments of dusk came to a close. The three boys were in shock about just how beautiful everything was about that day, and how they were so lucky they ever got to meet such a person. The funny thing is, they all thought they hid their emotions well after that day, but unfortunately, Jian Yi isn’t as much of an idiot as he’s potrayed.
