1. Hen
They were all eating, as usual they tried to eat as fast as they could before the alarm went off.
Hen was sitting next to Chim, next to Chim was Eddie, and opposite him was Evelyn.
Nothing unusual there until Hen notices Eddie staring at Buck intensely, almost like he was captivated by her. (Which he totally was)
"Your beautiful." Eddie said absent-mindedly, staring at the blonde girl that was in front of him, propping his head with his hand.
Everybody stared at him surprisingly, Chim almost choking on his food. Evie's cheeks turned red and she hid it by looking at her food.
Eddie's eyes widened when he realized what he said, looked at Evelyn's red cheeks and started speaking.
"I-I mean Bobby's food is absolutely beautiful, look at this masterpiece." He stuttered before eating a mouthful of the lasagna, Hen glared at the boy with a face that read 'Boy what are you saying?' and he looked at her sheepishly.
"Why thank you" Bobby muttered.
After that, Eddie wasn't really eating, instead he was playing with his food using his fork.
Buck glanced up at him for a while, staring at his defined jawline, beautiful slick hair and the prettiest eyes she has ever seen but looked back at her food when Eddie caught her staring.
Hen noticed this interaction but didn't say anything, although she had the tiniest smirk on her lips.
The rest of the meal was complete silence.
Evelyn was flustered anytime she had to talk to Eddie whether it was for work purposes or personal purposes.
Hen even noticed her staring at him whilst he was distracted, this made her walk towards Buck.
When Evie felt her presence beside her she pretended not to notice, knowing exactly what she was going to say. Hen sighed exhaustingly as if she was dealing with children.
"Why don't you tell him how you feel, Buck? It's so obvious he likes you!" Hen told her and Buck furrowed her brows. "W-When did I tell you I liked Eddie? Never, that's when." Evie said, crossing her arms and taking a glance at Hen.
"Now Buck, don't lie to me. You are in denial, girl. Don't you see the way you stare at each other? You should tell him before somebody else tries to take him away." Was all she said and then walked off towards Chimney.
That left Buck thinking, did she like him? Even so, did he like her back? It was all too confusing.
That was when Eddie made his way towards her and she just stared at him, blinking profusely, before turning around and running away like a coward.
Eddie stayed there, shoulders deflating as he frowned to himself, furrowing his brows and thinking about what he did wrong.
Hen saw that interaction and groaned, rolling her eyes. Chim side-eyed her before continuing to clean the truck.
Hen felt hopeless whilst staring at Eddie's dejected stance. She knew that Buck was just scared, scared of not being enough, scared of getting rejected and so she did the only thing people did in her life.
She ran.
'They were never going to confess their feelings', was the last thing Hen thought before helping Chim with the cleaning.

2. Bobby
Evelyn was currently stuck, and although she could just jump down, it would probably sprain her ankle.
Yes, she was stuck on a stupid tree whilst her friends observed and laughed.
"H-how did you even get up there!" Chuckled Chimney, bending over from laughing too much-
"Haha. It's not funny, I'm stuck! HELP ME MAYBE?" She suggested with a straight face, annoyed with their bullshit.
"No offense Buck but I think I'm going to pee from laughing." Claimed Hen, holding Chim's shoulder to secure herself in case she fell to the ground from laughing too much.
Even Eddie had a smirk on his face!
Bobby just observed, hiding his smile behind his hands.
"Eddie get me down or so help me God-" She started threatening before Eddie put his hands up, stifling his laughter and bringing out the ladder.
"I'm coming, calm down Evie." He said and she rolled her eyes. "Hurry up!" Buck hurried and Eddie sighed with a silly smile on his face.
Bobby knew that boy was in love, and he didn't even hide it.
Eddie climbed the ladder and reached the tree, he pulled out his hand for her to grab, she accepted it gracefully before stepping on the ladder with a sigh of relief.
"I thought I was going to fall or something."
"I will always be there to catch you." He winked and she scoffed.
"Like you could." She challenged, staring at him with hooded eyes.
"Wanna try?" He smirked and she felt her cheeks heat up.
"I don't know, do I?" She whispered, leaning closer toward him. They were still holding hands from when Eddie helped her get on the ladder.
"You know you do." Eddie whispered back, into her ear this time which made her shiver.
"ARE YOU GUYS DONE?" Bobby asked, staring at their proximity and hands.
Evelyn didn't want to let go.
They quickly separated from each other, their hands lingering when they did.
"Goodbye, Evelyn." Eddie said hotly into her ear and she almost whimpered.
It really should not have turned her on...
"What the hell was that?" Bobby whisper-yelled, staring at her with wide eyes.
She shrugged before replying.
"Nothing. We are just friends."
"Friends like that? I don't think so." He stated, crossing his arms.
She rolled her eyes. "Why do you all think I like him?"
"You don't like that man, you love him."
Evie stared at him for a few seconds, thinking.
"He will never love me." Was all she said before she left.
Bobby sighed, glancing at her walking away.
He just wanted her to be happy.

3. Chimney
Eddie was currently sleeping in the bunks, it was a really long call and the only thing he wanted to do was sleep.
That was until he started dreaming about Buck, about how the lightning strike hit her, and about how maybe he could have prevented it.
Then she fell, and after she died.
For 3 minutes.
And Eddie can't breathe, he's being suffocated and Buck is his oxygen.
Because without her, he would be broken.
He started thrashing and breathing heavily in his sleep until Buck, who was also attempting to sleep, woke up.
She furrowed her brows when she heard someone breathing.
There was only one other person in the room.
"Evie!" Was all Eddie yelled, tears streaming down his face, Buck widened her eyes when she realized he was dreaming about her.
And not the good kind of dreams.
"Eddie?" She asked, walking towards him. Seeing him thrash around made her heart ache.
He didn't budge.
"Eddie!" Evie exclaimed this time, pushing him so he could wake up.
"Buck!" He sat up with a gasp, finally awake from his dream.
Evie looked at him concerned with a grimace on her face.
"What happened?" She asked, curious and also worried, why was she in his dream? And why was he having nightmares about it?
He just shook his head, gripping the blanket tightly.
She just blinked.
"Okay.. so what do you want me to do?" Buck questioned, grabbing his hand and caressing it, he had very soft hands although they were very sweaty, she didn't mind.
"Can you hold me? Please, I need to know your here." He said shakily and she nodded with a soft smile.
"Anything you need." Buck said before getting on the bed and laying down.
He put his head on her chest and wrapped his arms around her slim waist. That way, he could hear her heartbeat.
She grinned, her hand reached his hair and she simply carded her fingers through his luscious brown hair.
Eddie sighed peacefully, he wanted to sleep like this everyday.
It was silent for a while until Eddie spoke up.
"It was about the lightning strike." He said, Evie frowned and patted his head, signaling that he could continue.
"It was about how you died, even if it was just for 3 minutes, you died! I couldn't breathe, you were and are my oxygen, as cheesy as that may sound. Imagine if you didn't start breathing again, or if you chose to die during the coma? I don't know how I would continue living- or if I even would be living. Maybe I would be just surviving. But Chris can't live without you and I sure as hell can't." Eddie breathed out.
Buck just hummed.
"I also have the same thing- I mean not the exact same thing but it's similar. It's about you. When you got shot I was in shock, it was almost like I was paralysed." She explained and breathed shakily, remembering all the nights where she would wake up and call Eddie just to make sure he was alive.
Or when she had to tell Christopher about what happened and just broke.
"We really do almost die a lot huh?" Buck joked, which was usual, she normally joked a lot about things like this.
Eddie wouldn't call it dark humor, he would call it a coping mechanism, that hides all of her problems.
It doesn't.
He chuckled, listening to her heartbeat.
That was when Chim walked in.
"Hey have one of you guys seen Bob-"
Chim just blinked profusely for a few seconds, lip tightening before he spoke.
"What the fuck are you guys doing sharing a bed? Are you guys finally together? Congratulations that after 4 years of your bullshit flirting you finally accepted your feelings." He stated and they both immediantly flushed.
"Uhm- no we aren't together? We are just friends." Evie said, ignoring the pit in her heart.
Eddie falsey nodded in agreement although he couldn't disagree more.
Chimney stared at them with wide eyes for a few seconds before groaning.
"OMG CAN YOU GUYS JUST KISS?" He yelled before leaving the room
Walking around the station trying to find Bobby turned into matchmaking.
Chim just shook his head and went to go ask Hen.

4. Maddie
Eddie was over at Bucks house, they were planning on watching a show.
The Vampire Diaries.
It wasn't really something they usually watched but they wanted to try different things this time.
Evie was currently in the kitchen, doing the snacks. Later they would order some take out.
She put some chips in a bowl, and some M&M's in another one.
She smiled with satisfaction when they were both filled to the brim, or- well, mostly.
That would be enough food before they ordered take out.
Eddie was waiting on the couch she finally bought. It's no surprise that he was the one that bought it with her. He helped her choose it.
Evie grabbed both of the bowls and started walking towards her couch.
"Hey." She said and he smiled at her.
"Hey, Evie, come sit down." He said, patting on the space beside him.
"Why thank you, sir." She laughed sitting next to him and placing the bowls on the table infront of them.
"No worries, ma'am." He said in his texas accent.
God that accent was so hot, she felt her face heat up before shaking it away.
She swore she saw Eddie smirk after she did that.
Evie grabbed the remote and turned the TV on.
"Were you just staring at the blank TV for the entire 4 minutes it took for me to put food in these bowls?" She asked and he nodded blankly.
Buck just sighed, leaning onto the couch.
She went onto Prime Video and after clicked on 'The Vampire Diaries'.
"Is this a horror show or something?" Eddie asked, plopping an M&M into his mouth.
"What? You scared?" She smirked and he widened his eyes at the revelation.
He scoffed.
"What! Me! No way!" He said, waving his hand in the air.
She shrugged, staring at him with a smile on her face before pressing play.
"But is it scary?" He whispered in her ear which startled her.
"Obviously not." Buck snickered, placing the remote back onto the table.
Eddie just nodded, staring at the screen.
About 20 minutes into the first episode and Buck couldn't prevent it.
"Did you know that vampires don't have reflections? Like if they were to be infront of a mirror, you wouldn't be able to see them. A theory is that they don't have souls. Which yes is a bit creepy. But another fact is that they can transform into other things than just a bat. Like other animals, it's so cool!" She rambled.
Eddie was just staring at her lovingly.
She stopped rambling when she noticed his intense eye contact.
They stared at eachother, nobody daring to look away.
The tension was growing.
Their hearts were beating.
And Eddie was staring at her with those beautiful brown eyes, for a second they start getting closer and closer until-
"Evie!" Maddie yelled, walking towards them. Buck groaned and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.
She hadn't even noticed the door open.
Eddie just glared at Maddie in complete shock, not even expecting her to be here.
"Uhm- did I interrupt something?" Maddie asked, glancing between them and Evie groaned again, covering her face with her hands.
"Oops?" Was all Maddie said.
Eddie got up and scratched the back of his neck.
"Imma just- go.." He trailed before leaving the room, grabbing his car keys first
When Eddie left, they hadn't even finished the first episode.
Maddie went to sit next to her on the couch.
"So.. Eddie?"
"Nope."
"What do you mean. You were literally on the verge of kissing sis!" Maddie exclaimed and Buck groaned for the third time that day.
"I don't know Maddie! I think I love him." She whispered the last bit, widening her eyes in realisation.
"You think?"
"I'm not sure." Evie sighed, staring at her sister with unsure eyes.
Maybe she never will be sure.

5. Christopher
They were currently at a bakery, the three of them.
Eddie was sitting at a table, Buck and Chris were in the line.
There was a guy behind Evie that was making her very uncomfortable, he just wouldn't stop staring at her and if eyes could undress, she would be plain naked.
There was a very long line, apparently this bakery was very famous for their croissants and Buck just had to try it.
Buck glanced around the room awkwardly, holding Chris' hand.
"Evie! Can I get a chocolate croissant!" The little boy begged, staring up at her with those blue, beautiful eyes.
"Ofcourse buddy, would you like water with your croissant?" She asked, side-eyeing the guy next to her anxiously.
"Mhm." The boy hummed and she nodded. He smiled and hugged her waist.
"Thank you, Evie!" He said and Evie rubbed his back.
"Always superman."
That was until she heard a comment.
"You have a beautiful kid, maybe we could make another one?" The creep next to her said, he was taller than her which was surprisingly as she was already 6'2.
"No thanks." She declined politely, covering Chris' ears.
"Oh come on, baby, your so cute and I just wanna tap that ass." The guy said, getting closer to her and she gulped, trying to get away from him.
"Leave me alone."
The guy stared at her ass and licked his lips before shaking his head.
Eddie was watching from afar with his eyebrows furrowed.
"No can do, babygirl." She cringed at the name and ignored him.
He got closer and touched her arm.
"Don't touch me! I have a boyfriend." Buck lied, still covering Chris' ears.
The guy scoffed, crossing his arms. "Yeah? And where is he?" The guy chuckled.
"Right here, dick." Eddie said from behind her, and Evie has never been more grateful to see her.
Eddie wrapped an arm around her waist which made her flush.
"Yeah? Well prove it then."
Eddie gulped before thinking of an idea. "What more proof do you need? This is our kid, isn't that right baby?" He said. Evie nodded and the guy scoffed again.
Evie's heart warmed at the label of bring Chris' mom.
"That could be anybodies kid." The guy said, challenging Eddie.
"Well if you want more proof, here it is." She widened her eyes before she felt soft lips on hers.
She closed her eye and let him control the kiss.
His arms tightened around her waist whilst hers went around his neck.
It was a full on makeout and she could hear the guy gasp and stomp his way out of the bakery.
When they separated, Eddie and Evie were left with no air.
"Did you guys just kiss?" Christopher asked innocently.
Eddie's eyes widened and he quickly glanced at his kid before smiling.
"Yeah but it was just to keep that guy away." He explained and Christopher scoffed.
"It seemed like more than that, dad."
Buck just listened to the conversation.
"Um- excuse me." Eddie said and Christopher rolled his eyes.
"Can't you guys just get together so I can call Evie my mom already." Chris said and Eddie almost passed out.
"Chris, sweetie that's not how it works." Buck chuckled nervously.
"Well it should."

Eddie and Evie were currently at the bar.
Eddie decided that he wasn't going to drink a lot of alcohol which is why he was not drunk.
Evie on the other hand was completely drunk and dancing with anybody on the dance floor.
Eddie had to admit she did look good.
It was already very late, it was 2am and Eddie wanted nothing but to be at home.
But first, he had to take her home.
Chris was over at Pepa's house, his aunts house.
Deciding that it was time to get her he stood up and made his way towards her.
She was currently twerking and Eddie couldn't help the groan he let out, she was just too attractive.
It was not a secret that they liked eachother, both sexually and romantically.
Eddie could feel himself getting hard but decided to focus on his friend.
"Evie?" He asked, grabbing her by the arm and dragging her away from the crowd, to which she protested.
"Hey!" She yelled, stumbling in his arms.
"Evie we got to get you home."
"Home is at your house." Was all she said and Eddie sighed, he would be lying if he said his heart didn't warm when she said that.
He carried her, picking her up as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Did you know that most wildlife is in the ocean? Would you consider me a wildlife? Haha!" She said and Eddie snorted, walking towards his car.
"I don't know, maybe?" He said and she groaned.
"Maybe isn't a good answer." She pointed at him and pouted.
He just chuckled.
Evie suddenly lifted her hand to his face, caressing his cheek softly, it was almost like an angel's touch.
Well, she did look like an angel.
"Your so pretty." She complimented and he felt his cheeks heat up.
"Thanks, you too." He said whilst placing her in the passenger seat of the car.
"I'm tired." She whined and turned her head in the seat.
He put on her seatbelt and sighed. "So am I."
The drive home was chaotic to say the least, she was rambling the entire time and then randomly started singing.
It was quite funny.
When they got home, he got out of the car and went to open the passengers seat door.
Eddie unbuckled her seatbelt and took her out, placing her into his arms, again.
"I love your arms. They are so muscly and hot, I definitely would like to dream about them." She said slapping them and he just blinked.
Drunk words were sober thoughts.
He had a key, and it was a bit of trouble getting in as she was constantly squirming in his arms.
"Can you stop moving, Evie?" He asked, finally getting the key in the hole.
"Yes sir." She nodded and he couldn't help the smirk that overcame his face.
Finally, he opened the door, grabbed the key, closed it and locked it from the inside.
He could feel Buck finally getting tired and sagged with relief. He was also tired.
Eddie carried her up the stairs and placed her on his bed.
He wasn't exactly sure if he should change her or not.
He decided against it, not wanting to invade her privacy, it didn't seem right.
He couldn't help but stare at the gorgeous girl infront of him, she looked like an actual angel.
"I love you, Eddie." Evie mumbled with her eyes closed.
Eddie was shocked, he didn't expect that.
Drunk words are sober thoughts.
He didn't expect that after 4 years of having a crush on her, or more than that, she actually liked him- no loved him back.
"I love you too, Evelyn." He whispered before finally standing up until he was interrupted. Again.
"Stay."
He stared at her for a few seconds before laying down on the bed.
Eddie made sure to keep space in between them just incase she didn't want them to cuddle.
"Goodnight Eddie." She mumbled. Eddie smiled and kissed her forehead before staring at the ceiling again.
"Goodnight, baby."

The morning after was hectic, she sported a headache.
Evelyn fluttered her eyes open, and immediantly sat up.
Rubbing her eyes and yawning, she looked around her room like she did. Every. Single. Morning.
That was when she saw Eddie.
She immediantly got out of bed but was relieved to find that they both had clothes on, and that it was the same ones from the night before.
She was still confused as to why he was on her bed.
Eddie did look cute though.
"Eddie!" Evie exclaimed, jumping on the bed to wake him up.
He started to stir before opening his eyes slowly and groaning.
"What." He asked exasperatedly.
"What happened last night?"
She saw him think and raised a brow.
"Um I drove you home, carried you here and you asked me to stay. So I did." He said and looked down suddenly.
She let out a sigh of relief before furrowing her brows.
"I did something embarassing didn't I? God what did I say?" She groaned, laying back down on the bed and covering her face with regret.
"You told me you loved me." He said like it was a normal conversation.
"WHAT?" She immediantly sat up again and crossed her arms, willing him to explain.
"Right when I laid you down on your bed, you were on the verge of sleeping, I was about to leave before you told me those three little words or well it was technically four but you told me you loved me." He explained, biting his lip and closing his eyes, scared for the rejection.
But she just blinked.
"Please... just say something. I can't pretend I'm not deeply inlove with you anymore, Evie, I just can't!" He exclaimed desperately, standing up and flailing his arms.
She just stared at him before smiling.
"You- you love me back?" She asked excitedly, in denial.
"How could I not?" He said and she squeaked, running up to him and wrapping her arms around his neck before kissing him.
He quickly responded and wrapped his arms around her waist.
The kiss lasted for a while and they did not want to separate but had to. Lack of oxygen.
"I love you, Eddie Diaz, I was made to love you." She confessed, holding his hands.
"I'm in love with you, Evelyn Buckley."
