Chapter Text
The only time he had friends was when people wanted to talk to his brothers. The musician and the fighter, best in the school, they were the 4th and 5th most popular kids in school and this wasn't a small school, in total there were about 1000 kids, it was a big city with only 2 or 3 schools, Rivendell high the place that makes or breaks your social status. Tommy was a year 11 finally, only 2 more years and he could leave this place, he could find friends and a job so he could move out of what was supposedly his home. Suddenly Tommy had been thrown on to the floor hitting his head on the lockers with a thud.
"Ow what the hell!" Tommy yelled out only getting a few glances from bystanders before they continued moving.
"Stay out of the way nerd" Of course it was dream, the third most popular kid in school, he was only popular because his family was rich so everyone turned a blind eye at anything bad he did.
"Hey leave him alone!" Someone yelled out from behind dream,
"Do you know who you're speaking to" dream growled out as he turned around to look at who would dare call him out, suddenly his eyes widened as he apologized and ran off. There standing behind where dream was were only two people in the school who could scare off dream, Scott Smajor and his boyfriend Jimmy the first and second most popular kids in the school, Jimmy was the best swimmer in the school and Scott Smajor, the ice queen known for being cold towards others and for being a famous model. They were only a year older than him but much scarier then him
"I'm sorry I'll leave" The words rushed out of his mouth like he would die if he spent to long there. As Tommy gathered his stuff to leave Jimmy grabbed his shoulder and started speaking
"Hey wait did you wanna hang out with us at lunch?" By now the hall was empty after earning a couple glares from Scott. All Tommy could manage was a small smile and a quick nod, he had just been invited to hang out with the most popular kids in the school!
"Great! Meet us outside the front of the school at lunch, we should go or we're gonna be late for class, see you then!" And after saying that Jimmy and Scott walked off to class. Surely this was a joke why would the popular kids wanna hang out with a nobody like him, he may as well go anyways at least dream probably wouldn't be there, looking at the clock on the wall he realized he would be late if he waited any longer so he quickly gathered the rest of his stuff and hurried off to class making it with 2 minutes to spare. Class felt 3 times longer than usual but as soon as they were released he grabbed his stuff and rushed off to the front of the school. Just as he suspected they weren't even there of course it was a trick god he was and idiot, he decided to wait five more minutes as outside was suprisingly peaceful. Just as he was about to leave he saw Jimmy running towards him with Scott following him not to far behind.
"Hey! Sorry we're late I dropped my stuff in the hallway and it took a while to get it, oh yeah i forgot to ask whats your name?" Jimmy attempted to give a reassuring smile after noticing how Tommy looked like he was just about to leave
"Tommy" he responded quickly.
"We're going out for lunch come on" Scott said pulling out his keys
"Oh um I can't really afford that I'll just stay here" Tommy muttered and the happiness slowly left him
"I'm paying don't worry" Scott said smiling? Tommy had never seen him smile before infact only a few people have ever seen him smile
"Are you sure I don't wanna be a burden" Tommy uttered
"Yeah now come on" he signaled for Tommy to follow him as he went towards a car that looked like it cost more than his house. Tommy stood there in awe before Jimmy opened the door for him
"come on we're not gonna get far with you outside the car" Jimmy laughed as he ushered Tommy into the deep red car.
"This car must of cost a fortune!" Tommy thought to himself
"Buckle up" Scott said turning on the engine. Tommy did his buckle and watched as Scott drove away from the school. About 10 minutes later Scott pulled into a gated area parking next to a cafe, Tommy had heard that this cafe was one of the best near the school. Tommy had barely noticed Jimmy and Scott getting out of the car.
"You coming?" Jimmy asked as he opened the door for Tommy
"Oh yeah sorry I just got a bit distracted, isn't this like one of the nicest cafes in the area?" He said getting out of the car and following them towards the cafe
"Yup Cafe blossom, one of my friends owns the place" Scott responded as he went up to get a table. The got sat next to a window which looked out onto the beautiful flower field filled with what must of been at least 20 different types of flowers behind the Cafe. After much reassurance from Scott telling him to ignore the price and order more than a muffin Tommy ended up getting French toast with a chocolate chip muffin, He would've gotten blueberry but apparently Scott's allergic to blueberries so he settled for chocolate. That alone cost $30 meaning Scott would have to pay like $100 for all of them! After they all ate Scott paid and they left to return back to school. On the way home Tommy asked Scott if he was sure Tommy didn't have to pay him back,
"Tommy you're not paying me back I've already told you this" Scott laughed
"Fine, thanks for taking me by the way" Tommy responded
"It's fine we're your friends now!" Jimmy yelled getting a bit too excited
"Friends?" Tommy repeated thinking he just misheard
"Well if your okay with it of course" Scott responded
"Yeah! I would love to be friends it's just I've never really had friends that haven't just wanted to talk to my brothers" Tommy chuckled trying to make his life seem less sad than it was.
"Well now you have us! And dream shouldn't bother you anymore" Jimmy smiled reassuringly. "Oh Scott you got a message from your agency" Jimmy said picking up his phone Jimmy continued, " It's says sorry that this is last minute but do you think you could do a family photo shoot you will need to find two other people to do it with you if you choose to do it please come to ******** at 1:30"
