   Summary

   When Wei Wuxian and Wen Ning seem to have died at Qiongqi Road, a shock runs through the cultivation world. Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli, Wen Qing and Lan Wangji are left grieving, knowing there won’t ever be justice, no matter how convinced they are that Wei Wuxian and Wen Ning have been set up.
   As time passes grief settles in the cracks of everyone’s souls and connects people that have never considered each other friends.
   Rumors of strange events prompt Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng to work together and form a grudging peace.
