   Summary

   He's not sure if snakes brood, but Crowleys skipped right past brooding and gone straight to yearning. Aziraphale can see the longing in his eyes when he sees a child running along a street or a baby in a parent's arms. He wants more out of his life. But with that, there's an acceptance that this--this beautiful thing that humans experience every day is something he will never have.

    

   In all fairness, Aziraphale didn't think it bothered him all that much. He thought this was just a phase Crowley experienced from March through to May then he moved on, becoming cynical and grumpy and just slightly kind.

    

   It isn't until August that Aziraphale realizes this is something Crowley feels one hundred times more than he thought.
