“Wait… you love me?”
Moiraine sounds, Liandrin thinks, completely lost. Small and scared but hopeful.
“I always have.”
It's honest, too honest perhaps, but when Moiraine blushes then smiles, she can’t help her soft smirk.
“Happy now, Little Dove?”
The question is gently affectionate even as Liandrin moves to pull Moiraine up and into her arms, kissing her gently at the laugh and nod, Moiraine’s softness stilling the ever curling fear in Liandrin’s soul.
“Good, because I much prefer you smiling.”
She knows this too is a risk but when Moiraine’s fingers curl into her clothing, Moiraine’s eyes soft as she looks deeper into her eyes, she knows this is worth every risk. Anything to have her precious ‘Little Dove’ finally for her own.
