Summary
Wei Wuxian had no regrets upon leaving Cloud Recess.
He stood up for his shijie against that peacock. He stood up for his adopted family. Jiang Cheng didn’t have to face punishment or deal with him causing further embarrassment to the family. He made new friends, got up to all sorts of hijinx without the Lan Clan knowing and only got a beating once! He’d say his stay there was eventful even if the old fuddy duddies couldn’t relax even if it killed them.
So why am I sad to go?
He knew why but was adamant to ignore it. He bothered everyone enough with his antics and from the look on his Uncle's face he knew better than push further. So he left Cloud Recess, happy to be going home where the real food was, messing around with the juniors, aloud!, and eat his shijie’s Lotus and Pork Rib soup. Truly it was a dream come true.
Only, his dream would be short lived, as change came swiftly on the winds and his whole world would change.
