Revenger, Raging Fall Dragon "Reverse".
It's a card that shouldn't exist, yet reveals an outcome that could have been. It stands out on his desk. A single card with bright red colors that is bound to catch anyone's attention. It's as if it were left there intentionally, in plain sight. Ren finds it hard to believe that this is a gift, but rather a warning.
It's a card he knows well. At least, the regular version of it. He's used it countless times, but to see the dragon in this form leaves him with an unsettling feeling.
He hasn't lost to any who are Reversed. Ren has managed to stay strong and beat those who succumbed to it. He wasn't one to falter and lose. Winning was always his goal, no matter what may be at stake.
Yet, he can't help but ignore that disturbing feeling and find this card intriguing instead.
Slender fingers reach out to pick up the card. He raises it so he can take in the full art and read its skill. It's almost nothing like Raging Form despite it being an 'evolved' version of it. Of course, its skill is reliant on locking rather than retiring. Those under the Revenger name are still used and sacrificed for the dragon's ability. While this dragon is unable to re-ride, it can restand. And that makes it just as deadly.
"I wonder why you showed up?" Ren hums as he examines the card. It refuses to speak to him, it doesn't even offer him a growl in response. The lack of noise makes him chuckle. He knows why it's silent. A stubborn dragon that won't bend to his will. He isn't Reversed, therefore, it does not listen.
"Perhaps, in another world, I did lose...but to who?" He thinks aloud. Obviously, he wouldn't lose to anyone. Well, mostly anyone. He's gifted with an otherworldly power and even without it, he's still a force to be reckoned with. To lose in such dire times and to be Reversed...would this have been his card? Was this the creature that would become his avatar if that outcome were true?
"I am curious, you know? You seem strong ." As if appreciating the compliment, the dragon wavers in its silence. The dragon can only do what it's meant to do. Try and tempt him. Give up on Raging Form and fall into the abyss. The ability of the Reverse was so much stronger. Give into the powers, lock, and-
"Oh no, you won't win. I'll use you ." Ren hums and a sickeningly sweet smile graces his face. It almost looks innocent despite the words he uttered in a commanding tone. He's not upset with the dragon, no. He likes a challenge.
Why succumb to the Reverse when he can play with it? If that thing that started it all wanted to spread its hold into him, it would have to try harder than a simple card of temptation.
"I could scare a few people if I use you. And you know..." He chuckles once more, his red eyes shining with a sudden thought. "You might just be perfect to use against them."
