“I told you to wait!” He squeaks, waddling as quick as he can to hide behind the couch, ears red and voice heavy with anger. Hawkeye narrows her eyes.
“What are you doing.”
It’s less of a question, and more of a command, and Edward nearly flinches at her time and wrinkles his nose, bangs flopping as he gives a shake of his head. She nearly feels bad for being a bit harsh, but not when she sees the defiance written on his face.
“Nuthin’.”
Oh, clearly not. Hawkeye walks further into the room and places her folder and cup on a spare table, before crossing her arms over her chest. She squares her jaw and regards Edward with such an expression that he looks down at his feet and nearly pales.
“Don’t play games with me, Edward.”

A nice, early day in the office turns sour when Hawkeye catches her slippery major sneaking about far before the hours of the workday. Edward hates being in the office. Why would he show up early?Series
