In Another World?!

Summary:

When Sakura Haruno was hit by a car, she did not expect that she would be greeted by a gorgeous raven-haired man with an aura of a King. “Oh no, I transmigrated…” She calmly concluded, believing she was transported in another world.

Notes:

Hi! I know I should be continuing my other story but I couldn't help myself in sharing this piece from my collection. Anyway, I hope that you would enjoy this story as much I liked writing this one.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

White ceiling and golden walls greeted Sakura Haruno as she opened her emerald orbs and looked around the room, she was in.

‘Where was I?’ she thought, creasing her brows with wonder.

She could not remember how she exactly got in this place; rewinding a bit of her memory, all she knew, was she was standing in the sidelines at the Konoha plaza so that she could watch the parade of the newly crowned King.

She just wanted to look at the face of the man that would rule the land of the Hidden Leaf. She heard that he was young, she was informed that he was wise and more importantly, she was made to believe that he was a handsome bachelor.

Hence, Sakura tried to squeeze herself in the crowded area to get a good parade viewing spot. Until suddenly, she felt a strong push from her back, making her fall and see a bright, glowing light which was followed by darkness — she was hit by a car.

One…two…three…

“I’m Dead?!” She shouted at the top of her lungs and got up from the bed.

“No, no, no… this can’t be happening…” She repeated like a mantra as she walked around in circles.

“My life couldn’t come to an end! What would happen to my family? And to my job? I didn’t even get to see the King?! And goodness, I didn’t have a boyfriend yet either…” she helplessly ranted, more like lamented about the things she still wanted to achieve.

“And my l— “Sakura stopped as a realization hit her; logic was starting to work on her mind again.

She was in a room, not in heaven. She could still breathe, and not gasping for air… it could only mean one thing…

“Oh no, I transmigrated…” she calmly concluded, believing she was transported in another world and with just the thought of it, her worries were washed away.

She read a hundred stories of transmigration and most of them, end in happy ever after. It made her a little bit at ease, excited and giddy. Afterall, she was a fan of novels where the heroine would wake up in a strange place and suddenly would have her own fairytale journey.

It may seem strange, but she was thankful for her good luck, she was in a place where she wanted to be. She was even thinking, that maybe, being transmigrated was a consequence of being a good person on Earth.

“No, no, no. This is impossible, I am a soldier of science…I am a soldier of science,” she tried to deny as much as she could; she mustn’t believe in this kind of phenomenon for before, in her 'previous' world, she was bombarded with facts and scientific reasonings.

“But, there’s nothing wrong to check if I really did transmigrate, right?”

Right.

Thus, she looked for a mirror and check out her face. Usually, girls that transmigrate would occupy another body; she would like to know if she became more beautiful, if her pink locks turned into blonde or her emerald eyes changed into a cerulean one.

Yet, much to her dismay, she was still the plain, old Sakura — nothing was modified.

Thinking positively, she remembered that some protagonists carried their appearance to the other world, probably it was the same thing for her.

Anyway, she was already a beauty and was confident with her looks.

“What are you doing?” A man with a cool voice interrupted her monologue errr… also her brain — it stopped when she saw how jaw-dropping gorgeous the man was.

She was now, hundred percent sure, that she was in a book for no beautiful man like him existed in real life.

The untamed raven hair with matching chiseled jaw and obsidian orbs screamed that he was not a simple character. And let’s not forget about his muscular body, it just assured her that he was the leading man; a perfect male lead.

“I said what are you doing? Are you crazy or are you deaf?” He asked with an annoyed expression, completely turning Sakura’s impression on him in a hundred and eighty degrees.

His words and tone proved that he was rather, the villain and not the lead that would send butterflies to the stomach of the readers. He was the rude and tyrant man that she should be wary of.

And so, she put up her guard and ignored his question. “Who are you?”

The man raised his brow, wonderin’ if this girl was an idiot for, she could not recognize his face. Still, he introduced himself.

“I am Sasuke Uchiha, the crowned King of this country. And you are?”

“I am…” Sakura halted in completing her sentence.

Who was she anyway?

Was she still named Sakura here like her name on Earth or she has a new identity?

Moreover, what was her character setting?

Was she Sasuke’s friend or a foe?

Assessing the situation and based on the novels that she read, she could either be the female lead that was never seen by the villain, yet, an arranged marriage bound them together; or she was a side character tasked to infiltrate the villain’s lair and take out his life which failed because he caught her in the act…

Hmmm… either way, she has to make a choice that would not send her six feet under.

Perhaps, it would be better if she would just be totally honest and reveal to him that she came from another universe… or not.

Hmmm…

“Think, Sakura, think….” she quietly whispered as she knocked her head for an answer which did not escape from the eyes of a certain man.

“So, who are you?” Sasuke asked again as the said girl finally have the flawless response.

“I… I am the Queen...” Sakura confidently answered.

“The Queen?”

“Uh-huh, I am the Queen. Could you not even remember your wife’s face?”

Sasuke creased his brows. He could not fathom the pinkette’s actions, thus he judged her, that she was definitely a weirdo.

Despite it, he found her to be an interesting and amusing person; he was forcing not to laugh at her antics.

And before he could retort at her, the door opened and a guy in a black suit came - most likely, the butler of the royalties.

“Your Majesty, you are here! The townspeople were still waiting for your speech.” The man reminded, shifting his gaze to the companion of the King to excuse the said royalty; which then transformed into an apology after recognizing who the person was.

“Ah, young lady! You are now awake. I am deeply sorry that you were hit by our car. I was careless in driving.”

“What?!” Sakura exclaimed; enlightened and horrified at the same time.

Could it be…

“Excuse me, sir. But, are we in the land of Hidden Leaf?

“That’s right, my lady.”

Oh no…Sakura was getting nervous.

“And today…was today, the new King’s parade?” she questioned with crossed-fingers.

“That’s absolutely correct, mademoiselle.” The butler answered, petrifying Sakura in the process.

Oh shoot! She was still in the reality and she made herself a fool in front of the King. Heck, she was even disrespectful to him and told him that she was his wife when in fact, he was still a single man.

Ugh, what a good time to be swallowed up by the ground…

And as if her embarrassment was not enough, Sasuke scoffed at her and smirked.

“Suigetsu, order the maids to dress her up. And also, announce to the people that I would be coming out…with my new Queen.” He commanded, leaving Sakura like a statue cracking down.

Uh-oh! What have Sakura gotten into?
