Chapter Text
After Yingxing’s death, Bailu had a hard time finding a proper coping mechanism to ease her grief over the loss of her father, and when she found that her own mother had tried to revive him from the dead she was unable to process what she witnessed.
“A-ahhh.. M-mom what are you doing with all this?!” Bailu stood in front of his room terrified to the core.
“Bailu, my little lotus I was trying to make you feel better- please just let me make this happen-“ Dan Feng scrambled in a panic.
“Mom, you think reviving Daddy from the dead would help me?! In fact, I think you are just completely selfish in doing so!” Bailu grabbed his shirt by the neck and said it straight to his face.
“But Bailu, I-I just wanted you to be happy and we can enjoy life together again just like the old days..” Dan Feng told Bailu.
Bailu went to her father’s room and found his sword lying in the closet, from there she unsheathed the sword and cut the right side of her hair, severing her connection as Dan Feng’s daughter. Only her left side remains intact to represent her father.
“Bailu, what is the meaning of this?” Dan Feng asked.
“Mo- no rather I should say Dan Feng. You don’t deserve the right to be my parent anymore and for that, you have lost your daughter. That is my choice.” She answered to Dan Feng.
She took her father’s sword along with some clothes and her photo of Yingxing and stormed out of the house. From there, she took a starskiff to the Artisanship Commission and that was the last time she saw her former mother.
