Leipzig vs PSG
How did they end up with such a massive team breathing down their necks already in the group stage of the champions league? It's almost like someone was fucking with them and only wanted their dreams of winning to be crushed and vaporized into nothing.
Sure, they've faced many teams before. Hell they had a draw with Man City once (Even though right after they beat them 7-0). But that didn't make the sting of defeat and the slap of disappointment hurt any less.
Timo wished it did though.
Oh boy did he.
Currently they were in Paris, where they were meant to play against PSG. But since Rose wanted them to get to see a bit of Paris before they had to leave (Even though most of them did) he decided they should show up a day before. Which wasn't too big of an issue, surprisingly enough. You'd expect there to be SOME since it's a whole club coming sooner than they were supposed to. But nope, no issues. They arrived in Paris and were free to do as they wanted.
Timo spent his time with Dani and Kampl. He had fun with them, ate, laughed, explored, anything they could do they did. Well.. what they could do in a day.
They got to the hotel at around 6 pm, which WAS a difference considering they got there and we're free since 11 am. They told Rose they got there Via text and separated to go to their rooms. Later, Timo met up with Orban so they could head to dinner together and meet their team there.
Once again, they had fun. They ate dinner and then headed back to their rooms. After hearing what the schedule was for tomorrow from Rose. Because duh.
Timo went to bed around 9 pm, when he usually did. But he couldn't get himself to sleep no matter what. It wasn't new, Timo just couldn't sleep in newer places for whatever reason.
He always got a few hours though and he couldn't do that right now.
So Timo decided to wait it out. When that didn't work and midnight hit he walked around the room, trying to tire himself out but that didn't seem to really work either. He then tried to listen to some lullabies as a last resort.
Don't judge him, they're nice little songs.
Sure, they're kinda.. childish but Timo enjoyed simple toons. So sue him.
And so, when Timo thought he couldn't fall asleep at that point, he decided to try and take a walk.
Which he was doing right now.
Paris was beautiful during the day but it was even more gorgeous during the night, in Timo's opinion, of course.
As Timo strolled through the enchanting streets of Paris at 1 am, he marveled at how this city transformed under the soft glow of moonlight. The great energy of the daytime had resorted to stillness once the sky turned dark, allowing the city's true beauty to emerge.
The Eiffel Tower, bathed in gentle lights, stood overlooking the city of love. Its iconic silhouette was almost surreal against the dark canvas of the night sky. Timo couldn't help but pause and take in the breathtaking view.
The Seine River shimmered with reflections of the city's lights, creating a mesmerizing mosaic. Timo wandered along the riverbank.
Narrow cobblestone streets wound their way through historic neighborhoods. Timo found himself drawn to a quaint cafe with dimly lit outdoor seating, where he savored a croissant. Because they're good and leave him alone.
As he continued his nocturnal journey through the city of lights, Timo couldn't help but smile. Paris had a way of capturing his heart, especially in the stillness of the night. The beauty of the city under the moon's gentle embrace was something he cherished and would carry with him forever.
After a while though, Timo decided it was the right time to start heading back to the hotel. He didn't want to worry anyone. It was already 3 am after all, who knew when Rose would be doing his check up on them.
Timo upped his step and started to walk faster. He headed back the way he came from, down the streets and past the cafe he was at just a bit ago. After a bit he took his phone out of his pocket, checking the time. He nodded to himself, deciding that he was doing fine even though he had no clue how long it'd take for him to get back.
"Hey!" A booming low voice came from behind him.
Timo paused for a second, slowing down and almost coming to a halt..
Him? Was someone talking to him?
… probably not, why would they? He wasn't doing anything.
Timo continued his walk like he was just a few moments ago, thinking to himself that there is no reason for someone to be referring to him.
"I said hey!!"
… okay. Yup. Had to be him. No one else was around plus this was the second time someone had said it.
He paused himself and turned around sideways, staring over his shoulder. His hands found their way into the pockets of his jacket, all snug and warm.
There was a group of three men. All.. quite tall but they didn't seem to have the strength on their side. They looked a bit small when it came to the muscles.
But hey, Timo was one of the smaller people with a lot of hidden muscle and strength, so who was he to judge?
"... hello?" Timo spoke, a bit unsurely. Despite the fact he didn't know these men and the fact they weren't that close to him he could feel the tension rise in the air.
Something just didn't feel right.
"Aren't you that Timo Werner guy?" Another man spoke, the one that didn't call out to him. He had dark black and short hair, unlike his two friends who had brown hair. Though the one that hadn't spoken yet had his tied in a ponytail.
"Yes.." Timo nodded his head, not really knowing what to say besides that.
"Oh! We've seen you on tv, right guys?" The two hummed in agreement, nodding amongst themselves. The man black haired man continued "You're famous, aren't you??"
… what did that have to do with anything?
Timo blinked but nodded his head slowly "I guess I am?" His voice screamed hesitation but the three men didn't seem to really care.
"Wanna grab a drink with us? The bar is right down the block, we'd love to have you join!"
Timo tensed up slightly..
Now something absolutely didn't seem right.
"Sorry but I need to head back" Timo apologized, "I have to play in a few hours. But thank you for the offer."
"Oh come on! Just one drink!"
Why were they so keen on that?
"I really can't" Timo explained, taking a small step away from the three guys.
However, when he did.. They walked forward. Towards him. Closer to him.
"How come?? We won't do anything, we just wanna talk with you"
The fact he had to tell him that was proof enough that the three had something under the sleeve.
"I'm not much of a drinker"
"Then we can just hang out!"
"I'd prefer not to"
"Why not? I told you, we won't do anything!"
They were getting closer, they were quick. And walking backwards wasn't EXACTLY ideal. Plus logically speaking Timo couldn't take on the three men. Not at all.
…
So Timo Ran.
"HEY! TIMO!"
'Run.'
"Get him!!"

"Timo, is everything okay?"

"Hey-"
"Coach, help.."
"What??? Timo, what happened?? Why is your voice so weak?"
"I-I-" sob
"... where are you? I'm coming to get you"
"Everything hurts.."
"Timo-"
"I'm sorry"
"... sorry for what?"
"For being weak"
