The worst part about being shoved to the far back of the arena isn't the fact that he can't cast spells and engage in a blood-pumping fight even if he so desperately wants to. It's the fact that Yoongi is left standing frozen in his spot, behind the goddamn shield he'd put up to protect himself, the other wizards, Namjoon. It's the fact that his legs and limbs are not cooperating with him even if he keeps trying to move them about, even if he keeps trying to free himself from the full-body bind that Namjoon had cast on him. There is no counter to this magic, not when Namjoon has explicitly told him – "Don't you even dare try to fight them off. You take care of the shields. And the healing wizards stuff. You're good at that. Lemme save you this time–" "I saved your ass from falling off a broom, Namjoon. You don't need to–" "Don't. Just. Live for me, and let me do the battling. I need you to survive." Not when Namjoon's meters away, crying out every spell he knows in the hope that he might bring the wizarding world closer to safety, and all Yoongi can do is watch every ounce of hope be drained from the wistful smile on Namjoon's lips.
