   Summary

   Angels are not supposed to have hearts. Demons, by extension, shouldn't either.
   Angels are not supposed to love. Demons are not even meant to pretend.
   Clearly, neither angel nor demon should experience heartbreak, but Aziraphale and Crowley were never much good at following the rules.

   Post-S2, Aziraphale has been made Supreme Archangel and left Crowley on Earth. Aziraphale is tasked with bringing about the Second Coming, and must work with Crowley to save the world (again) and themselves in the process.
