Dan Feng had performed the Vidyadhara high elder succession ritual on Yingxing. Even though Yingxing adamantly disagreed with Dan Feng when he entertained the idea once before.Before Dan Feng could even see if the ritual worked, the unintended consequences of the ritual led him to very quickly be detained until his trial, and later, his impending execution.
Yingxing, breathing once more, cursed with healing abilities, finds Dan Feng one last time in a sorry, shackled state. Except the stars' and the moon's final night betrayed the serenity of the cosmos.
