Early in rivalry/relationship--post RG 2007, spend a few days away together after playing final. Roger POV. They've been having an affair? Spending time secretly together/have sex that ranges from tension-relief to tender for a while. Both still have girlfriends. Roger is completely confused by rafa... can't understand why he's such a mystery, can't understand him or his game. Can't figure him out... Doesn't know what they're doing but knows he's beginning to feel more serious feelings about him... Has a hard time controlling himself even though rafa usually takes the lead... roger breaks and takes over... and rafa likes it. Praise kink. Sex is too rough and fast first time, much more intimate/slow the second
interesting dynamics, wish there was more story.---
Sometimes I wish this wasn't so consistently difficult. We never just fall carelessly into each other's arms, like this is natural; instead, it takes a while for the strain to ease, a certain amount of posturing and circling before the tension dissipates enough to get comfortable. Or maybe that's just me—it seems like Rafa is always content to sit back and smile and wait for me to get over myself.

I feel like I should say something neutral, meaningless—ask if he's packed all of his stuff, wish him luck at Queen's. Anything. I'm uncomfortable with the silence he brings out in me sometimes.
But nothing comes—except for Rafa, who slides his phone into his pocket and then moves towards me, so close that I can smell myself on him.
