Work Text:
Once, once upon a time, there lived a wild, playful tiger. Said tiger, however, rarely attacked humans who climbed up the mountain he lived in--unless their purpose was to create chaos, that was. This tiger, after a long tiring day full of him being a hard-worker, keeping peace around the mountain, loved to lie under a particular tree. Especially when it was a sunny and breezy spring day. As he closed his eyes, the Tiger felt the warm sunray on his fur. His ears slightly moved as they caught someone’s familiar chuckle. Following not long after was someone rubbing his stomach, which got him stretch and yawn, feeling comfortable and satisfied.
“You shouldn’t have teased that human child that much,” that person jokingly scolded. His hand did not stop its previous movement; he even moved to rub the tiger’s head. “That Seungkwan boy, he cried in fear all the way down the mountain, you know.”
The Tiger grinned. “That child was dared to go up alone,” he reasoned. “Before he met other kind of danger, isn’t it better for me to scare him back down?”
Dokyeom the Tree Spirit was about to refute. He opened his mouth, prepared to argue. Alas, he found nothing to say against Hoshi the Tiger’s words, so he ended up closing his mouth again.
The Tiger’s eyes twinkled in mirth.
With Dokyeom’s grumbling under his breath (while still continuing to scratch the back of Hoshi’s ears), Hoshi closed his eyes again.
Being able to take a nap on your beloved one’s lap was truly a blissful way to spend a day away.
