Chapter Text
Whisper was sitting on her knees with several boxes around her, rummaging through an opened one for something.
While searching, an unknown figure seemingly rose from the floor and started taking slow and quiet steps towards the unaware wolf.
The figure got closer and closer, until a they stepped on a squeaky floorboard and caused the wolf's ears to perk up.
Turning to look, Whisper came face to face with a face depicting a wicked smile before it suddenly jolted up close to her.
This action was accompanied by a loud but familiar voice screaming out "BULELELELELELELEEGGHHH!!!!".
Whisper knelt in silence for a moment before a stifled snicker began to leave the canine's grinning mouth.
At this unexpected reaction, the scary face was put down by a pair of arms holding it at it's sides, revealing their owner to be a lemur.
Tangle had a disappointed look on her face as she looked at Whisper trying to hold back laughter.
"Aww c'mooon. How did that not scare you?" Tangle pouted, which cause Whisper floodgates to breach as all the pent up laughter was released at once.
Taking a few moments to calm down, Whisper wipes a tear from eye along with a few final giggles before replying. "To be fair, Tangle, "bulelelelelelelegghhh" isn't something that could be considered scary."
"Tell that to Jewel." Tangle grumbled, arms crossed, as the carved pumpkin the scary belonged to sat in the center of a criss-cross.
The quiet wolf could only smile as she watched her girlfriend mumble about how "This always scared Jewel when we were younger."
Whisper silently put a hand on the lemur's shoulder before they made eye contact. "That's nice, but can you help me get out the decorations?" the wolf requested.
As Tangle failed to stop the smile crawling up her face, she put the carved out gourd to the side before also shifting onto her knees.
"Alright, let's do this!" The lemur confidently proclaimed as she started reaching for an unopened box.
While Tangle was approaching the box, Whisper suddenly started to snicker again and causer Tangle look back at her in confusion.
"What's so funny?" the lemur asked, not noticing the box she was reaching for began to shake.
In a flash, the box burst open, causing Tangle to yelp and fall on her back. Looking up, small plastic skulls and spiders and other such decorations began to fly around the room.
Tangle looked on in surprise for a second longer before her face instantly changed to one of annoyance.
"Guys!" The lemur spoke in an equally annoyed tone.
Once they were called out, all of the decorations ceased flying before turning to stare at the lemur, then drop and clatter to the floor.
In their place, the colorful wisps that were holding the decorations floated in place while making motions and sounds that seemed equal to hollering.
Rolling her eyes with a slight giggle, Tangle got back on her feet before putting her hands on her hips.
"Alright," she started, "now that we've all had our fun, let's ACTUALLY get out the spooky stuff."
With several nods between everyone, Whisper and Tangle both picked up a box while the wisps carried the smaller items.
"Once we take care of this, we will go buy candy for trick or treaters, then we can handle our costumes for the restoration party." Whisper informed.
Tangle nodded back in reply. "Sounds good! What were they calling it again?"
