Soul of Thunder

Summary:

When Sam wields Mjölnir he is betrothed to Thor only Thor has to get past Sam's soulmate and overprotective big brother Dean.
While Loki thinks Sam is perfect for his brother that doesn't mean he can't have some fun and play matchmaker for the two and maybe find a love for himself.

Work Text:

Sam Winchester could only stare at the hammer in his hand. The hammer comes from Norse mythology.

"Sammy!" Dean's worried voice reached Sam's ears before his brother came sliding into view. There was no missing the relief that shone in those green eyes as Dean ran towards Sam.

Upon reaching Sam's side Dean cupped his brother's face between his hands and scanned Sam for any sign of injury, it took him a second before he noticed the hammer in Sam's hands, "Is that what I think that is?" He asked in disbelief.

Lifting the hammer up higher Sam recalled the lightening that he had summoned when he swung it. "If you think that this is the legendary Mjölnir, then I think you are right."

Dean could only blink, "How the hell did that end up here? Shouldn't it be with Thor? And how the hell are we supposed to return it?"

"I have no idea," Sam admitted with a shrug of his shoulders but it should prove interesting.

Linda Tran could only look between the two brothers with disbelief in her eyes, "You two certainly make life interesting. So does this mean we are heading to New York and trying to break into Avenger Tower?" Dean, Sam and Kevin all stared at her in various versions of disbelief, "What? There is no way that I am missing out on meeting the Avengers."

Dean's face morphed into a grin, "You are awesome Linda."

Linda returned Dean's grin, "And don't you forget it."

Kevin was hiding his face in his hands while Sam was studying Mjölnir, "How did you get here?" He whispered.

New York City

Thunder clapped overhead as flashes of lightning followed behind Tony Stark turned to face the scowling God of Thunder who had come storming into the room, "Still no luck in finding Loki?"

Thor's face darkened, normally he didn't mind Loki's pranks but this time it was different Loki had sent Mjölnir somewhere. "I do not understand my brother. Why does he think sending Mjölnir away from me will get me out of a "funk" which I still do not understand what that is?"

Biting his lower lip Tony kept his comments to himself, he had to agree with Loki that Thor had been in a funk ever since he and Jane had broken up and Jane had moved on and last he heard she and her boyfriend were talking marriage. Thor had been moping around the Tower for months and it was like a sad puppy and it was sad to watch. Tony had even offered to buy Thor his own puppy just to cheer him up.

It worked until Peter all but stole the puppy from Thor and Thor let him.

No one could say no to Peter's puppy dog eyes, Tony was rather proud that his son had the Avengers wrapped around his little finger. Watching Peter play with the puppy was the few times that Thor smiled.

It soon became the Avenger's mission to cheer up Thor, and even Loki got into it. No one succeeded then Loki decided to get involved. And Thor moved on from moping to enraged.

Tony just wished that Loki's plan didn't involve him in stealing Mjölnir.

"Brother!"

'Speak of the devil.' Tony thought as Loki came strolling with a smile on his face that promised nothing but mischief.

"Brother," Thor growled out in a dangerous tone.

Others would tremble at the look on Thor's face but not Loki his smile just grew bigger, "I have good news Mjölnir will soon be returned to you."

Tony and Thor both blinked which was rather unexpected. "How?" Thor demanded.

"By the way of your betrothal of course," Loki announced.

"MY WHAT?!" Thor boomed.

"Well, that is unexpected." Tony's comment probably didn't help any.

Despite how amazing the Impala is - and she is the greatest car of all time according to both Dean and Sam - she couldn't magically transport them to New York City and the Tran got a chance to see what it was like living from motel room to motel room.

Neither brother was surprised when Linda took to that lifestyle faster than Kevin. Linda made her super soakers a part of their arsenal.

"How come we never thought of them?" Dean finally asked Sam.

"I don't know." Sam had a thoughtful look on his face at how helpful those would have been on some of their hunts. "Imagines some of the demons having to explain that they were defeated by holy water in a super soaker." Sam gave a small laugh as he imagined him and Dean as kids armed with super soakers following their dad on a hunt.

Dean shot Sam a look just like always he knew what his brother was thinking, "I'll have you know I would have rocked those super soakers as a kid just as I rock them now."

Sam could only smile impishly at his brother, "Of course you would Dean."

Scowling Dean threw a pair of rolled-up socks at Sam, "No sassing your big brother."

The impishly look only grew on Sam's face, "But I thought you had gotten used to my sass after all it is the baby brother's duty to sass his older brother's life choices."

"Okay, that is it."

Linda sighed as she heard Sam's yelp she didn't have to turn around to see that Dean had tackled Sam and the two of them were now wrestling one another. She was happy to see them like that.

Kevin could only watch as the two most feared hunters alive, the very names of them sent demons and all kinds of monsters running and fighting like they were children. He will never understand them.

Loki had waited until those in the motel room were asleep and after Thor had finished yelling at him. Not that he had paid that much attention to his brother's rants after all they weren't anything he hadn't already heard growing up and he could recite them word for word if Thor demanded if he was listening.

"I don't understand what his big deal is, I was only doing this for him," Loki muttered, okay so he got some joy out of it for himself as well. After all, there was no rule saying that he couldn't cause a little mischief while trying to find the one worthy of his brother.

Appeared in the room, after getting past some very impressive wards, something Loki wouldn't expect from ordinary hunters but then again he wasn't dealing with just ordinary hunters these were the Winchester whose names rang in Asgard halls with awe and fear. They were respected warriors which is why Loki knew that no one would have an issue with who Mjölnir chose to be Thor's husband and consort.

After all, it was not every day that one defeated the Christian Devil and was foretold to be the Boy King of Hell and the other was the Archangel Michael Sword. 'Oh, this is going to make things very interesting.' Loki thought with glee after all it wasn't every day that one got to watch his brother have to attempt to court Sam Winchester after he got his older brother and his platonic soulmate's approval. It took everything in him not to crackle with glee, at least until he took his leave.

He had wanted to make sure that Mjolnir had chosen wisely and it looked like she had.

'Really how does Thor not realize that Mjölnir is on this as well?' Sometimes - and these were very rare because the last thing Loki needed was for Thor to think he carried about him - he worried about his brother.

Still, that didn't mean that he wasn't looking forward Thor to meeting his future husband and most of all his overprotective trigger happy older brother.

Dean was worried about Sam, his baby brother had been through so much since he picked him up that night at Stanford he lost Jess, he died, and he beat the freaking devil back to toss himself into the cage to save him and the world where he was tortured by the devil for centuries then returned and had the wall Death created to keep his memories of the cage locked away broken by a friend. He nearly lost Sam when he was doing the trials. Sam is his whole world and he will not allow his brother to be hurt again.

"You okay?" Dean asked as he studied Sam who was looking at the freaking Mjolnir. Sam was absently rubbing the scar on his hand, the one that he would use to remind him that this was real and that had Dean frowning, he didn't like it.

"I'm okay." Sam flashed Dean a soft smile, doing his best to show his brother that he was okay. There was no one who could read him better than Dean and lying to his big brother rarely got him very far.

"You'll tell me if anything bothers you, right? If you are seeing anything?" Dean did his best to keep the growl out of his voice as he thought of how Sam had tried to keep from him that he was seeing Lucifer. He was still a little - okay a lot - pissed off with Castiel for breaking the wall in Sam's head and making him relive all of his time in the cage and he hadn't been pleased at all when Sam tried to hide it from him.

Sam loved Dean, he had the best big brother who really was the definition of a protective mother bear - not that Sam would ever tell Dean that but his brother was a mother hen - but he refused to lie to him. "I will. I promise on Baby's safety."

A gasp escaped Dean's lips, one that he would deny, before glaring and pointing a finger at Sam, "That is a very serious promise so if anything happens to my girl I will know that it was because of you and I will make you wash for the next year once I have fixed her up."

Crossing his fingers over his heart Sam promised, "I swear."

"Alright if you are done being a mother hen Dean we better get on the road," Linda commented as she brushed past them, a cooler in her hands full of food and Kevin followed behind her shrugging his shoulders a second cooler in his hands this one full of drinks.

Sam couldn't help but snicker at the affronted look on Dean's face and when Dean turned a disbelieving gaze on him Sam couldn't help but be the pain in the ass little brother Dean sometimes claimed him to be only shrugged, "Hey it wasn't me that said it, take it up with Miss Tran."

Dean grumbled about "smartasses" before taking off after the mother and son duo and Sam could only laugh, despite the seriousness of the situation he felt a sense of relief knowing that Dean like always was there beside him and had his back.

Thor was on edge everyone could see that as he paced the room, thunder crackling around him like a raging storm ready to unleash itself. It was easy to see why his teammates were a little worried and giving him all the space he needed.

Well everyone but Loki and Tony and really everyone was wondering who thought it would be a good idea to let them become friends.

"So care to tell us about this mystery guy that is to be a consort for Thor?" Tony asked, they had been trying to get Loki to say anything about this man but he had been tight-lipped.

Sitting back more onto the unbelievably comfortable couch that Tony had Loki grinned when he had returned and announced that he fully approved Thor's future consort the worry had increased in the Avengers.

Not even Thor's drawn-out, "Loki" could dampen his enjoyment.

Noticing that Thor had halted in his pacing Loki decided that he could be a little kind and offer something to his brother, "Let me assure you brother there is a reason why he was chosen out of all those whom Mjölnir could have picked they picked him. He has seen horrors that would break others, he did the impossible and defeated a great evil all for the love he has for his brother. He is a hero even if he doesn't see it himself."

"What great evil?" Thor had only heard of Heimdall speak of one on Midgard that posed a threat to all the realms and had been defeated by the most unlikely duo that made Midgard's Heaven and Hell wail in agony.

Loki's grin grew, "Why brother you should know the answer to that after all you became what Midgardians call a fanboy after all." Loki rather enjoyed the stunned look on his brother's face as well as the confused ones on the rest of his team.

Letting out a sigh Tony leaned into Bucky's embrace, "And that cleared up nothing while raising more questions we should have seen that coming."

The Avengers Tower was more impressive than it appeared on TV which was saying something and Sam found himself tilting his head back to look at it and he let out a low whistle.

"I've seen better," Dean grumbled under his breath as he closed the trunk of the Impala.

Finally, tearing his gaze off of the Avengers Tower Sam turned to look at his brother disbelieving, "Really? Name one."

"I can't think of one off the top of my head," Dean grumbled under his breath.

Sam could only smile as he took his own bag and made sure that Mjolnir was safe in his hands. "Alright let's do this." It was time to meet the Avengers, return Mjolnir to Thor and hopefully get through all of this without making himself look like a fool in front of the God of Thunder. Yes, he had a small crush on Thor, something that Dean liked to tease him endlessly about until Sam reminded him that he swore at the TV at the news anchors when they insulted Loki.

Dean would admit that they must make an interesting sight walking into the Avengers Tower towards the reception desk whose eyes widen at the sight of Mjolnir in Sam's hands.

Putting on her most charming smile Linda took charge, "Hello, I am Linda Tran, that is my son Kevin and Sam and Dean. We have come to return something that we believe Thor has lost."

The woman could only stare at them for a moment before coming back to herself and reaching for the phone, "I'll let them know right away."

"Mr. Stark? Yes, sir, I am calling to let you know that Mjolnir's has been found. I shall send them up right away." Hanging up the phone she pulled out four security passes. "Here you go JARVIS shall take you to the Avengers."

JARVIS had run a very extensive search on Sam and Dean Winchester and what he discovered had been interesting to say the least. The two men may be considered criminals by some but looking into the dark web JARVIS had discovered all about the world of the hunters and how the Winchester brothers were considered the best of the best. He had read the tales that had been told and before the arrival of Thor and Loki he might have disregarded the stories about demons and angels not to mention the Devil but he didn't and even if half the stories were true JARVIS was impressed by them and it took a lot to impress him.

"Sir, the Winchester along with Linda and Kevin Tran are on their way up," JARVIS informed his creator.

"Wow, they are pretty," Tony stated and no one voiced their disagreement because really no one could call him a liar. Sam and Dean Winchester were not just pretty they were drop-dead gorgeous.

"Remember you are mine," Bucky growled in Tony's ear.

"Don't worry darling, I am just looking no one can match up to you." Tony batted his eyes at his lover.

Thor barely paid attention to what was going on around him, he was too focused on the man holding Mjölnir Samuel Winchester.

Thor could only stare at the man who had done the impossible and defeated Lucifer. He had overpowered the Devil and had to save the world tossed himself into the cage. Where he had been tortured and somehow kept his soul burning brighter than the brightest of stars.

Thor, found himself taking a step toward Sam only to stop when he heard the sound of the gun clicking.

There were very few things that could make a God freeze and one of them was the legendary Colt.

Dean Winchester did not look impressed as he aimed the Colt at Thor, "Someone better explain why we ended up finding Mjolnir and had to bring her back here!"

"Why for Samuel, the once chosen one to be the Boy King of Hell and Lucifer's perfect vessel who did the impossible and beat him back to take control of his body, to marry my brother and become Thor's consort and rule Asgard at his side," Loki announced with a flourish. "To simply put it they are to be married!" Doves appeared as did a banner proclaiming "Wedding of Prince Thor to Sam Winchester" with glitter floating down

"There is no way that Thor is marrying my baby brother!" Dean snarled as he glared at the Gods, keeping the Colt aimed at the Avengers.

"Okay! Okay, let's put the gun  away that seems to scare the Gods and talk this out." Tony stated as he slid in front of the handsome but pissed-off man and he couldn't help but notice that his jaw clenched the same way that Bucky's did and he couldn't help but swoon just a little bit. What he finds it sexy.

"Yes, I think we can all talk like adults," Linda added giving Dean the mom look that had him grumbling but lowering the Colt, no one can refuse that look.

From the way the Avengers shift around the room they are in the same boat as them and Dean felt some of his frustrations melt away as he smirks at them. "I would listen to her I am not afraid to unleash the power of the wrath of an overprotective mama bear on all of you."

"Dean, no teasing the superheroes," Sam commented as he slipped around his overprotective big brother, a soft smile on his face as he attempted to make peace with the group of superheroes and two Gods. "We can here for a reason."

"No way in hell is that reason you are to marry Thor. I don't care if he is a God, he ain't marrying you without my permission." Dean snarled out, and with his jaw clenching he looked every inch of the fierce hunter that sent Demons and Angels running.

Loki will admit that he found that look very hot and himself a little turned on.

As if sensing his thoughts Dean sent Loki a cheeky wink and Loki didn't swoon.

"While I don't know about the marriage thing I do know that this belongs to you." Sam's voice broke the moment as he approached Thor and held out Mjolnir to him.

"I thank you for taking such good care of her. I can see that she was in the perfect hands." Reaching out for his beloved Mjolnir Thor and Sam's fingers brushed over one another and lightning crackled between the two of them as something deep within them sparked to life and created the beginning of a bond between the two of them.

Sam barely had his hand off of Mjolnir before Dean pulled him back and took a protective stance in front of Sam. "What the hell was that?"

There was a look of awe on Thor's face and a smug-looking one on Loki's as he happily answered Dean, "That was the acceptance of Sam being Thor's Consort and co-ruler." Loki's green eyes shone with unholy glee. "We have a wedding to plan."

"Oh hell no! No wedding is happening until I give my say-so!" Dean growled getting face-to-face with Loki, not at all caring he is a God.

It had taken quite a bit to get Dean to calm down from his murderous rage, even though now he was still glaring at Thor and snarling under his breath and he made sure that the Colt was in his hand, he refused to part with it, his fingers tightening the longer Thor stared at Sam as if he was the very sun itself.

Sam felt his face heating up the longer Thor stared at him. As if sensing Sam's unease Thor smiled at him, "Forgive me for staring and if it makes you uncomfortable but it is an honour to meet you, Samuel Winchester. Your name has been spread far and wide in the realm of Asgard. For no mortal or dare I say even I could do what you did and defeat the monster known as Lucifer. You are a true hero." There was a softness in Thor's eyes as he reached out and stroked Sam's cheek with the uttermost care, "You paid a heavy price and yet came out stronger than ever. Your soul shines brighter than the brightest of all stars."

Okay, so Thor earned some points in Dean's book for acknowledging that Sam had done the impossible and kicked that rat bastard Lucifer's ass and the pain his little brother went through for saving the world. That still didn't mean he was okay with Thor marrying Sam.

"We will be staying here until this is all figured out. The last thing that we need is anyone coming after us because Sam is now the future Consort of Thor." Dean announced.

"That is a good idea. JARVIS, see to it that our guests have rooms made up." From the way Thor was looking at Sam, if they didn't stay here Thor would follow after him like a puppy and that will probably push Dean over the edge he will snap and attempt to shoot Thor which will piss Loki off and they will have a mess on their hands.

"Thank you." Sam accepts before Dean can say anything to insult their hosts. "We appreciate you putting us up."

JARVIS made certain that their new guest were in the same hallway Dean had taken one look in each room and when he found one with two beds he yanked Sam into it.

In their room

"I understand that this is less than ideal but for now this is the best place for us to be until we can figure this all out." Sam did his best to calm Dean down.

Green eyes narrowed into slits and stared back at Sam. "Are you sure this has nothing to do with the fact that you have a massive crush on Thor and you get a chance to hang around him?" Dean knew he hit the nail on the head when Sam flushed and turned back to unpacking. "Just so you know I will be keeping my eyes on you and there will be no hanky panky while I am around."

Sam wished that the ground would swallow him up at that very moment, he knew that Dean meant every word, and his big brother took his protection to a new level.

One Week Later

Loki was at his wit's end. He had planned everything perfectly, Thor should have a wise consort at his side and Asgard should be entering a new era, instead Thor and Sam had barely spent any time together because of Dean.

"You!" Loki snarled at the vain of his existence appeared before him. Growling under his breath he stalked towards the hunter, he didn't care how sexy he looked with that knowing grin on his face and green eyes that reminded Loki of his magic. Nope, this wasn't the time for him to be writing odes to how pretty Dean Winchester is.

"Can, I help you Loki?" Dean asked as he took a sip of his coffee.

"This is all your fault." Loki growled as he poked at Dean's chest, "You just had to be the overprotective big brother. Do you know how hard it has been to find the perfect consort for Thor? Samuel is everything Thor could need and the fact that he could hold Mjölnir is proof they are meant to be. I get it! You two are soulmates, all the realms know this and Sam is important to you and that will never change but for Asgard's sake let my oaf of a brother take Sam out on at least one date without you stalking them or inviting yourself along." Loki was panting by the time he was done.

"You are sexy when you're ranting, did you know that?" Was Dean's response.

For a moment Loki could only stare at Dean before he tossed his hands up in the air and stalked away from the man, Dean could hear him grumbling about "sexy hunters" and "I don't know if I want to kiss him or send into space."

A chuckle escaped Dean, it had become his new hobby to see how he could work Loki up. He wasn't lying when said that the man

"Give me one good reason why I should let Thor marry my brother?" Dean demanded to know as he glared at Thor. "I think we need to talk alone." Climbing to his feet there was a look on his face that dared anyone to say no.

"Indeed." Thor knew that for this courtship to move forward he would need to gain the approval of Samuel's big brother.

There was no missing the nervous look in Sam's eyes as Dean and Thor left the room. Unable to take such a look on Sam's face Tony patted Sam on the shoulder, "Don't worry JARVIS will alert us if they start throwing punches."

Once they were far enough away Dean turned to Thor, a serious look in his green eyes. "Look Sammy has been used before, he has been hurt by those he thought he could trust and the very last thing I want to see is him go through that again. He is my baby brother and from the moment I held him in my arms I vowed to protect him. And yeah I haven't always done my best, I allowed myself to be manipulated into turning my back on him when he needed me most but I came to my senses and realized that Sam needs me just as much as I need him."

Thor could see where Dean was coming from, he had done his best to look after his little brother but had failed Loki time after time. It wasn't until he thought he had lost him when he fell from the Bifrost only to see him again in the battle of New York. "My brother was tortured by a being known as the Mad Titian. I carry that failure with me. If I had seen how he was suffering and struggling, if I had been a little faster to save him then Loki would have never fallen into that monster's hands and never suffered such torture until he broke."

Dean could read the guilt pouring off of Thor and it matched his own when he couldn't save Sam from Lucifer. "Lucifer was freed a few years ago and the only way to stop the world from going to hell was locking him back up in his cage. To save the world...to save me, Sam said yes to him and then did the impossible he beat him back enough to regain control of his body and then toss himself, our half-brother and Michael into the cage where he then spent centuries being tortured by Lucifer. He was so broken by his time that when an angel took his memories of that time, to fix what he had broken it broke the angel." Dean placed a hand on Thor's shoulder, "Our baby brothers are made of strong stuff. They have survived horrors that no one should be subject to and they still came out on top, stronger and still with their caring hearts. We are truly lucky to have them as our little brothers."

Thor could only agree with Dean, "Aye. We are blessed which is why I am okay with Loki's interest in you. Though should you harm him Dean Winchester I shall show you no mercy."

To Dean's dismay, he was sure he could feel his cheeks heating up just a little bit, he had hoped his growing feelings for Loki weren't as one-sided as he feared. "Same goes for you. You might be a God but that means nothing to me. You hurt Sam and I will show you everything I learned at the hands of Alistair." Dean tossed back with a happy smile on his face.

"Are they bonding over their promises of what they will do to the other if they hurt their little brother?" Tony asked.

Bucky only shrugged his shoulders, "Why not? It is how Rhodey and I bonded when he gave me an awe-inspiring shovel talk should I harm you."

Tony sent Bucky a heated look, "I remember that night, you were very possessive in bed that night and I didn't think I would be able to sit for a week. It was hot."

Sending his boyfriend a sexy smirk, "Why don't we go and recreate that night while letting these two bond over their shovel talks to each other?"

As amusing Tony found it watching Dean and Thor posture and see who had the bigger dick nothing topped being withering in bed and becoming a begging mess for his super solider.

Dean and Thor took no notice of them leaving.

Thor was nervous and Sam found it adorable.

"Hello Thor, can I help you with something?" They hadn't had much time to talk what with Dean making sure that they didn't have much alone time.

Clearing his throat Thor flashed a soft smile at Sam and held out a hand to him, "I was wondering if you would come with me and allow me to show you something?"

Sam could feel his heart pounding in his chest, "I would like that." Taking the offered hand Sam allowed Thor to lead him up to the roof of the Avenger Tower.

"Hang on to me," Thor ordered.

Thor's strong arms were wrapped around him engulfing him in a feeling of warmth that he normally only got from Dean. It felt nice. There were days when he still felt the coldness of the Cage digging deep into his soul and no matter what he did he couldn't get warm. It wasn't until he saw Dean that he finally began to lose the chill.

"Is this alright?" Thor asked as he looked into the eyes of his future consort.

The soft smile on Sam's face filled Thor with warmth as the younger man responded, "It is more than alright, this is perfect."

Making sure to keep a tight grip on Sam Thor raised them into the sky that was turning a beautiful dusk color. Thor loves that colour of the sky it was such a peaceful time as the world transitioned from day into night.

Once they were high enough Thor summoned his power and Sam let out a gasp as the first crash of thunder and the bolt of lightning lit up the sky. "This is amazing." Sam knew that Thor was the God of Thunder and that lightning was his to command but to see it firsthand was something completely different. "It's beautiful."

As Sam was entranced by the storm happening all around them Thor had his eyes on the man in his arms. Loki was right that Sam was beautiful, his soul outshone the brightest of stars. Sam shone like the sun that would shine and break through the dark storm clouds and once again bring light to the world. "It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

"I have seen something of greater beauty," Thor whispered as he drank in the sight of Sam in his arms.

Taking his eyes off the sky Sam met Thor's eyes and he suddenly had a dry mouth as the God looked at him like he was everything he could ever want and he wanted nothing more than to kiss him, to know that he was truly worthy of him. Taking a chance Sam pressed his lips against Thor's.

A deep growl escaped Thor as he felt Sam carefully kiss him and he knew he was hooked to the taste of his future consort. Deeping the kiss the two lost themselves as the storm around them grew from the passion coming from the two of them.

A sigh escaped Loki's lips as Dean once again let out a dark growl, he refused to admit that he found it very sexy but it did things to him that if he were a mere mortal he would have been on his knees begging. "Snarling and acting like a protective mother wolf will not make them return sooner," Loki commented dryly.

The dark look in Dean's eyes when turned to look at him had Loki's mouth growing dry.

"I know that." A frustrated sigh escaped Dean as he ran a hand through his hair, " It's just that Sam has been hurt before and the last thing that I want is to see him hurt again."

"My brother will not harm Sam. He might be many things an idiot among them and he has bedded his fair share he is loyal to someone when he gives them their heart. I have never seen my brother look at anyone the way he looks at Sam." Loki truly hasn't, Thor looked at Sam like he was his sun and would forever follow him after the storms came to an end.

"I know. I just can't help but worry. It has always been Sam and me. It's my job to keep him safe."

Dean's words struck a chord in Loki and he couldn't help but wonder if this is how Thor felt about their relationship. "Sam is lucky to have a brother like you."

Dean could see that Loki truly meant that, "Thor is lucky to have a brother like you."

The air between them crackled with the sexual tension that they had both been hiding and neither can say who made the first move but they were tugging at each other's clothing as they exchanged deep passion-filled kisses summoning his magic Loki transported him and Dean to his room.

Loki let out an oof as Dean shoved him down onto his bed, "I am going to rock your world." Dean promised.

"Promises promises you better be able to back up your words mortal." pushing himself up on his elbows Loki taunted Dean.

With a growl, Dean tackled Loki back onto the bed.

Sam was grateful that Dean was nowhere to be seen as he and Thor arrived back at the Avenger Tower as Thor led him to his room. His body was tingling from the kiss and he wanted to taste more of Thor.

When Thor turned to him Sam pulled him into a kiss, "I want this, I want you." Sam whispered against the God's lips, he knew that Thor was going to ask him if he was sure about this and he was.

Thor vowed that he would treat Sam with all the love he deserved and he would never doubt that Thor chose him.

It wasn't hard to see that both Sam and Thor's as well as Loki and Dean's relationships had changed for the better when it came to Loki and Dean, though Loki did seem to like keeping riling Dean up only now it ended with the two of them disappearing for hours and coming back with a smug looking Loki who was wearing the marks Dean left on his neck proudly.

"Are you happy Sammy?" Dean asked Sam one night as they sat up on the roof of the Tower looking up at what little stars they could see.

Taking a deep breath Sam smiled as he looked at his brother, "I am. Are you?"

Looking at his brother and thinking about the friends they had made with the Avengers and what he had with Loki, "It has been a long time since I have been this happy. And I think after everything we have gone through we have earned this happiness."

Sam's smile was soft as he bumped shoulders with Dean, they would never forget those whom they had lost but he could see that Dean was as tired as he was, they had given their all and lost each other too many times, they had earned their rest. "Yeah, we have."

Three Months Later

Dean let out a wolf whistle as he watched Sammy pull into a deep kiss by Thor after he was officially crowned Thor's consort and would rule beside him. His and Sam's lives were now tied to Loki's and Thor's they would live as long as their Asgardidans did.

It was a new life for both him and Sam and he knew just like him that Sam couldn't wait to see what it had in store for them they had family and friends who understood the life they had lived and the losses they had suffered.
