Chapter 1: Hello baby?

Chapter Text

Something doesn't feel right. Chan was sleeping with Mom and Dad last night, but now Chan doesn't know where he is.

The room Chan was in is full of mirrors. "A dance studio?" he thought. Why is he in a dance studio?

Chan is looking around the room while thinking, maybe his dad brought him here while he was asleep. Is there a dance competition Chan didn't know about? Did Dad forget to tell him?

Just as Chan was trying to search for his dad, suddenly the door to the dance studio opens. A man with shoulder-length hair stands by the door, looking at him. Why is the man looking at Chan?

"...hello," Chan says while greeting the man, who now looks confused.

"Oh, hello! Little baby, who are you?" says the man, smiling and slowly approaching him.

"Uhm, my name is Lee Chan," the boy says, cautious of the man. "Do you know where my dad is? Is he here?"

It doesn't help; somehow, now the man just looks confused. "Lee Chan...?" asks the man.

"Yeah, hyung," a voice from outside answers, and a new man comes in. "Did you call me, hyung?" says the man.

"No, Chan-ah, I'm calling the little guy here. His name is the same as yours, it's so cute," says the first man.

The other man, also named Chan? 'Woah, he has the same name as me,' the little boy thinks, suddenly looking at him, confused.

He keeps on staring at the little boy in front of him until he takes a little step back.

"Hyung... This is weird. Why does he kinda look like me?" the big Chan says.

The first man that Chan met suddenly looks at him again and stares for quite a while. "Huh, you're right, Channie."

He slowly comes closer to the little guy and squats down to look at him more comfortably. "Little Chan, can I ask you a few questions?"

"My name is Jeonghan, and you can call me Hannie hyung," says the man.

"...Hannie hyung, pretty," Chan says, and Jeonghan just laughs and smile fondly.

"Thank you, Channie," says Hannie hyung while stroking Chan's chubby cheeks.

"Did Channie know why he is here? Did Daddy leave Channie?" Jeonghan asks.

"Umm, Channie doesn't know how, hyung. Channie was sleeping, and now Channie's here. Did hyung see my daddy?" asks little Chan.

"Hannie hyung doesn't know too, Channie. Can Channie tell hyung what Daddy's name is? I'll help Channie look for Daddy," Jeonghan says.

"Daddy is Daddy..." Little Chan says unsure, and suddenly there are tears in his eyes. "Channie forgot Daddy's name," Chan says while sobbing.

"Hey, hey, it's okay, Channie, it's okay," Jeonghan says while hugging him. "Did Channie remember something else?" says Jeonghan softly.

"Uhhh, Channie was sleeping with Channie's brother," says little Channie in between hiccups.

"Good job!. Does Channie know what Chanie brother's name is?" Jeonghan asks again.

"Yeah, Channie knows, Channie brother's name is Geon. He's little," says little Chan.

And suddenly, there's a gasp coming from the bigger Chan in the room.

"Hyung... Jeonghanie hyung, he can't be me, right? Right?! I mean, we do have the same name, the same brother's name, and he did look like me. But it can't be me, right?" says the big Chan, slowly getting more and more loud and panicked.
