Fire and Ice. People thought they couldn’t work, but for Alex, a woman who burned with passion, the draw to Joanna Beauchamp, a woman of ice-cold logic and careful half-steps, was impossible to ignore. So she steps closer, she burns harder, she risks Joanna’s ice.
Joanna, she finds, cracks when pressure is applied, breaking open so honestly that she almost hates herself for the tears in the woman’s eyes even as she tangles a hand into Joanna’s hair, pulling her into a hard, rough kiss, a claim.
