PK academy was rarely normal, so it shouldn’t have shocked Saiki when the first thing he saw when he entered the classroom was a large cow.
Good grief.
Saiki lets out a sigh when he sees that most of the class trapped it in a group circle and are staring at it like it was some alien. Nobody moved, blinked, or even tried breathing too loudly in fear of scaring the animal and… he doesn’t really know what they’re afraid of the cow doing.
The psychic would usually ignore this and probably do something behind the scenes to send it out, but he really can’t turn a blind eye when the student directly in front of the cow was his boyfriend .
“ What’s happening? ” Saiki asks Kuboyasu since he was the one that seemed the least mortified of the current situation.
“Oh, Saiki… I didn’t notice you walking in. I don’t really know what happened, the cow just walked into the classroom out of nowhere and Kaidou was convinced that ‘ The Jet Black Wings will wrangle this cow and get it home safely with the rest of its family! ’ but now he’s staring at it like he’s a deer caught in the headlights.” Kuboyasu explains and Saiki sighs once again. He loves Kaidou, but sometimes he wants peace and quiet too.
He wasn’t one to believe in superstitions, but today sure is an interesting start to Friday the 13th.
“Do you plan on helping your boyfriend?” Kuboyasu asks, looking at him expectantly like he was only expecting one answer to come out of Saiki’s mouth. Of course he only had one answer, though, because Kaidou may be an idiot but he was Saiki’s idiot.
“ I will. Take care of my bag, will you? ” Saiki asks Kuboyasu to which the purple haired teen nods and takes his bag without any questions.
“Saiki- wait, y-you might scare the cow!” Kaidou stammers out, a rope (Saiki, for the life of him, cannot think about where it came from) in his hand that he’s holding onto falls to the ground when the cow snorts and looks around.
“ I think you might be more scared than the cow .” Saiki says to the other, leaning down to pick up the rope before his foresight suddenly kicks in and shows him a vision of a hydroflask falling from someone’s bag and the cow getting startled and charging at-
The loud clang of a metal bottle can be heard before Saiki’s vision can warn him properly, but the loud screaming of everyone in the classroom was enough to trigger Saiki’s protectiveness and immediately dart to where Kaidou was frozen in fear and looking at the jumping cow that makes eye-contact with him and preparing to charge.
“ Come with me, hurry .” Saiki tells his boyfriend and Kaidou snaps out of his daze and nods, ignoring the sound of the cow’s steps and taking cover in the chaos that’s happening in the classroom. The students running around and everything that’s happening made a perfect diversion for Saiki to use his teleportation powers and transfer him and Kaidou into the janitor’s closet of their school gym that was permanently closed. They’ll just stay here until everything calms down.
“Sorry, I just… I thought I could handle it.” Kaidou apologizes out of nowhere, letting out a sigh before moving to cuddle up with Saiki who was sitting on the floor. The bluenette buries his head into the crook of Saiki’s neck and the psychic didn’t need any light to know that his boyfriend was frowning.
“ It’s not your fault that a cow got into the school. Actually… how the hell did the cow get into the school anyways??? ” Saiki asks and it gets a laugh out of Kaidou, making the pink haired teen smile as well. He didn’t like hearing Kaidou all mopey and down. It makes his heart ache.
“So… what do we do here while they’re wrangling up that cow?” Kaidou asks quietly, reaching his hand up carefully to trace random shapes onto Saiki’s cheek.
“ Hmm… I have an idea. ” Saiki says, leaning in to press a chaste kiss on Kaidou’s lips before he feels around for the pillow he left here the last time they teleported to this closet and pulls Kaidou down with him.
“You’re right. We need more sleep.” Kaidou giggles, cuddling up with the psychic who lulls both of them to sleep.
Friday the 13th was certainly odd, but it wasn’t something that the couple haven’t faced before; After all, nothing can be more odd than the day they started dating.
