Irae - Wraith

Summary:

Hiccup runs away from berk before he’s forced to kill a nightmare. He spends four years on the edge, preventing Viggo Grimborn and the trappers from selling and capturing rare dragons. Eventually, the trappers move towards berk, and hiccup is forced to follow.

The shifter is destroying all the dragons she catches. She seeks revenge on the one who turned her. She wont accept he is already dead. She is unaware that Ryker is playing her for a fool.

berk believe hiccup is dead.

Astrid is shown that dragons are not the enemy, and after the heir’s disappearance, she tamed a Nadder. She freed the dragons caught by berk, with no one in the village suspecting her of anything like this. The Nadder was shot down and killed by the trappers. She spent a year finding out why. She discovered project phantom, and saw the woman in charge of it all.

Chapter 1: This is what it is to be a dragon.

She watched. Her eyes ran up and down the village in search of the chief. she already knew he wasn't at bis house, the blacksmith's, healers and she couldn't see him near the woods. there was only one other place he could be, then. When she realised this, she gave the dragon a small nudge, sending them plummeting down towards the docks, weaving in and out of torches. She supressed the urge to cry out, the exhilaration nearly overpowering her wits, but to cry out is to reveal herself, and that was NEVER an option, yet when the dragon swooped upwards, she let out a quiet 'whoop'. She couldnt even hear herself, the wind rushed past her ears and her eyes, freezing her hands and chilling her nose, rendering four out of five senses useless. she had gotten used to it. the dragon trusted her, no matter what, and she trusted the dragon, no matter what. some days Liv would say that they shared the same soul.
