Summary
Jared and Jensen are both throne heirs of the opposed kingdoms inhabiting the Northern Clifflands; a piece of rock consisting of endless green hills and colossal trees afloat in the middle of the ocean. Peace has ruled since Jared and Jensen’s ancestors stumbled across this little slice of paradise. But about a year ago, war broke out. Death and famine have taken lives on all sides. Hope is nothing but a dream. Both kingdoms have reached the end of their rope. If a peaceful solution isn’t found, the Northern Clifflands will turn into a mass grave. It’s on Jared and Jensen to save what remains of the home they used to know.
An arranged marriage is supposed to renew the contract of alliance and peace. Jared and Jensen aren’t happy about it, but they will do whatever it takes. Soon enough, shocking truths are revealed and Jared’s life is turned upside down once more.
