Summary
Eddie had been hoping that whatever was bothering Buck would have dissipated by the time they got to the station but the second they had walked in, Buck had flinched away from the noise, instinctively going to cover his ears. He shrugged it off but Eddie kept a close eye on him as they got to the locker room and started putting away their stuff away.
Eddie waited until it was just the two of them in the locker room before saying quietly, “Babe, what’s wrong? You’ve been off all morning.”
“I haven’t—,” Buck started but stopped at the look Eddie gave him. He shrugged uncomfortably. “My skin feels tight and just, everything feels like too much right now.”
Eddie nodded. “Okay, do you want to go talk to Bobby? You know he would understand if you took a sick day. Ramirez is on call and owes me a favour, I could ask him to take your shift?”
“No, it’s okay,” Buck sighed, shutting his locker. “I just need to shake it off. I’ll be okay.”
Or, the one where Buck is having a bad day and snaps at the team. Eddie takes him home, cares for him, and punishes him sweetly.
