Chapter Text

“So..where did you say this guy came from?” Tony as while pointing to someone who is the avengers table.

“Um..he’s from a different universe apparently..at least that’s what Bruce said, remember?” Steve says as they look at a young man in a blue opened button up shirt with sunflowers on it, blue shorts, straw hat and sandals.

At the moment the young man is eating some take out food that was supposed to be for the team. Tony brought it and when he was putting everything out, this kid just walks in here and just starts to eat everything, without even asking.

Bruce then rushed in and start to explain to him how he was able to perfect his portal device with the tesseract and how someone actually stepped through.

Tony would have been a little excited if this damn kid wasn’t eating all the take out shawarma.

Tony huffs and goes over to the kid.

“Hey strawhat.” Tony says, getting the kid to pause from eating a wrap.

“You mind giving us your name?”

The raven hair young man chews a little bit more before swallowing. “Monkey D Luffy.”

“Monkey?” Tony questions, wondering who the hell names they’re kid Monkey. “But you can just call me Luffy.” The young man says while taking another bite of the wrap in his hands. “This is really good, what’s this stuff called?”

“Food that I paid for.” Tony says bitterly and Steve decides to give luffy the correct answer. “It’s shrawma.”

“Well whatever it is it taste great. So who are you guys? I already met Bruce.” He says while pointing to Bruce who is on the phone.

“No, I’m telling you reed, it worked. It actually worked…yes I’m sure! I have someone who is here right now from a different universe.” Bruce says excitedly on the phone.

“Um I’m Steve Rogers and that’s Tony stark.” Steve says and pointing the goatee man who is still looks annoyed that the food he brought is still be eaten.

“Stark..cool name.” Luffy says with a grin. “Sounds like the perfect name for a pirate, Captain Stark.” He then looks to Steve. “I’m going to be honest with you, your name is boring.”

At that Tony actually snorts and starts to laugh while Steve looks a little offended. “Maybe you aren’t so bad after all straw hat.” Tony says

Suddenly the door opens and two new voices are heard. “I’m warning you Barnes. the next time you do something stupid like that again on a mission, i’m kicking your ass, I mean seriously, crashing the car on purpose?”

“It was the only way to get the guy, I couldn’t let him drive off and I seriously doubt you can kick my ass, Wilson.”

“You wanna bet?”

Luffy, Tony and Steve turn around. Luffy looks at two men who are walking in. One has a red, white, red and black suit on and a pair of red glasses, the other is a brunette man with a black bullet proof vest, black jeans and there a black leather jacket under that vest.

Luffy’s eyes get big when he spots something particular with the other man.

Before either of them could say anything, luffy gets up and starts to rush over to them. “Woah! No way!”

The two men look to luffy and they start to get confused. Luffy stops in front of the brunette man and looks at his arm in amazement. “Your arm!” Luffy says with excitement “it’s so cool.” Without asking Luffy grabs the man’s arm to look at it closer, staring at it in awe.

The two men are a little shock to really say anything.

“Um thank you. Hey..guys, who’s this?”

Steve is the first to answer. “Bucky, Sam this is Luffy.”

“Um okay and why is he here?” Sam question.

“We’ll explain that later.” Tony mumbles as he start to clean up the table, getting rid of the empty food wrappers. Luffy continues to stare at bucky’s arm and Bucky sighs. “Kid, I’d like to have my arm back now.”

Instead of letting go of Bucky’s arm, luffy just ask. “Are you a cyborg?”

“Um not really-“

“Trust me kid, he’s too lame to be something cool as a cyborg and he definitely isn’t smart like one.” Sam says and Bucky glares at him.

“That’s okay, it’s still cool. One of my crew members have metal arms.” Luffy then grins. “Does this make you stronger?”

“Pretty much.” Bucky says with a shrug. “That and a super powered drug that was pumped into me.” Luffy is now looking at Bucky like he’s the greatest thing ever.

“You have to join my crew!”

“Your what?

“My pirate crew, it be cool to have two cyborgs.” Bucky tilts his head a little. “You’re..part of a pirate crew?”

Luffy grins. “Yep and I’m the captain.”

“That kid is a pirate captain?” Steve mumbles, having a hard time believing that.

“Well..kid I’m flattered but I wouldn’t do well as a pirate-“

“Kid you can take him.” Sam says, cutting Bucky off, making Bucky flip him the bird, luffy then hugs Bucky’s arm and laughs with joy. “Awesome, I would have another cyborg on my crew.” Bucky starts to panic a little. “Now wait a minute kid, I don’t know anything about being a pirate.”

“Oh it’s nothing hard, all you have to do is know how to dance, sing and drink.”

“Look, kid I…actually that doesn’t sound so bad, especially the drinking part.”

“See, you’ll love it, now let me tell you more about my crew.”

Luffy starts to pull Bucky to a couch and he makes him sit. Bucky actually listens to the kid, excitedly ramble about his crew and how he wants to be a pirate king.

Soon everyone is just listening to luffy tell his story, wondering how someone like him become a pirate.

20 minutes almost past and the door to the elevator opens.

The person who steps out is wearing blue sweat pants, white t-shirt and a blue hoodie. He’s clean shaven and has a grey streak in his hair.

“Alright banner, this better not be a waste of my time, where’s this person you claim is from another universe?”

Bruce turns around and points to luffy. “He’s right here, Reed.”

Reed squints his eyes at luffy, looking him up and down. “Him?”

“Yes, him.” Bruce says and Reed looks at him with disbelief.

He doesn’t seem like he’s from a different universe. “Are you sure this isn’t some prank you and stark came up with?”

“Yes, I’m sure. He’s living proof that the portal worked.”

Reed hums and gets a closer look at luffy by stretching his head over to him. “So tell me what type of universe is he f-“

Reed is cut off from Luffy gasping in surprise and he stares at Reed with huge eyes. Reed wonders what has him so startled, but then he realizes that he probably weirded the kid out by stretching his head over to him.

“Oh I’m terribly sorry.” Reed says sincerely. “I didn’t mean to startled you-“

“I can do that too!” The young man says with excitement and Reed looks confused. “What?”

Luffy grins before doing something that shocks everyone in the room. He stretches neck high, his head almost touches the ceiling.

Everyone is silent for a moment, but soon that silence is broken by Tony.

“Well Richards, looks like you’re not the only living rubber band anymore.”

Reed doesn’t say anything for a moment, he just stretches his head up to luffy. “If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get your abilities?” Reed ask.

“I ate a devil fruit, you?”

“Mine was caused by radiation in a space travel mission. Now do you mind telling me what is a devil-“

“You went up into space!? That’s so cool!” Luffy says with a smile and Reed is a bit taken back. Reed actually smiles a bit. “Thank you.”

“How good can you punch?” Luffy ask suddenly and Reed thinks for a moment.

“I’m not really too involve in combat, but most are my fighting skills are okay.”

“Have you tried different techniques? I have a move called battle ax. You stretch your leg really high and bring it down with much force as possible.”

Reed thinks a little bit more before saying. “You know, now that I think about it, I could work on a kicking technique when sparing.”

Luffy grins. “I can show you some of my other moves. Oh thre’s another one I have called gum gum bell. It’s like a regular headbutt, but cooler.”

“Inserting. I actually haven’t done headbutts. Do you have time to show me later?”

“Sure.” Luffy says with a smile and while they talk, stark smirks.

“Looks like Reed made a new friend.”

Chapter Text

In a hour, Luffy and Reed are in a training room in the stark building, Luffy wanted a place to show Reed some techniques he knows and surprisingly Tony easily said yes to letting them use his training simulator.

He wants to see how strong this kid is for himself if he has abilities.

Right now two robots are walking towards them and Luffy stares in awe

“Cool.” Luffy says and then Tony speaks. “Don’t get too distracted straw hat, you gotta try and dodge their attacks.”

“Huh?”

One robot sticks out its hand and a ray of light starts to shine from it. Luffy stares in awe, but as soon it blast at him he dodges with a quick jump.

“My turn.” Luffy throws his arm back, making it stretch backwards, then he throws it forward with his hand clenched in a fist.

The punch is fast and when the blow lands, Luffy’s fist goes through the robot’s chest, damaging it critically.

“Hey kid, those things are expensive.” Tony says and Reed rolls his eyes, knowing full well that Tony can afford more training bots.

“Sorry.” Luffy says and goes over to Reed.

“You wanna make sure your fist are fast as bullets, it lands a bigger impact.” Reed nods and another bot comes out, it activates its rockets on it’s feet and starts to fly towards them.

“Perfect, now I can show you my whip move.” Luffy kicks out his leg and starts to swing it, as it swings it starts to get longer and it goes faster, soon it hits the robot with enough force to send it crashing into the wall.

Reed looks at his own leg. “Effective, why haven’t I thought of that?”

Meanwhile Tony sighs as he looks at the damage bot. He’s about to release another one, but he gets a call on his phone.

He looks at the screen and sees that’s its fury. He picks up the phone and answers. “What fun activity do you have for us today?” He ask once he picks up the phone and he smirks a little when he’s gets a grunt of annoyance from Fury.

“Hostage situation in the Staten Island ferry station. lead by the Crossbones. Make sure there are no screw ups.”

“Since when do we ever screw up?” Tony ask with a smirk and Fury doesn’t dignify that with a response, he just hangs up.

“Alright, hate to spoil the fun, but we just got a call to do a mission. So Cap, Bruce, Sam let’s get a move on, we’ll be taking a jet.”

Luffy immediately perks up. “Mission? What type of mission? Can I come?”

“Sorry, stretchy. No can do, my boss will put my head on a spike if I let some kid like you go. It’s best that you stay here with Reed and Barnes.”

Bucky looks at Tony with question. “How come I don’t get to go? I’m an Avenger too.”

“Even though Sam gets a bit annoying ranting about you, he’s right. You break protocol too much and you still have a nasty habit of just stabbing people and using lethal weapons, plus it’s rumlow, you…you-“

“He doesn’t affect me like before.”

“We don’t know that for sure, so we can’t take any chances.”

Bucky looks at Steve for him to back him up, but the man rubs his neck nervously. “Maybe it’s for the best Bucky.” He says and Bucky looks a little hurt now.

“Alright, let’s go everyone.”

Bucky looks at them go with a bit frustration and he huffs. Once they’re gone, Luffy yells to get his attention. “Oi, robot man, since they’re gone let’s do something fun to pass the time.”

Bucky looks and sees Luffy waving at him and Bucky shrugs. “What do you have in mind?”

Luffy shrugs a little and then looks to Reed. “You said you space traveled? Can you take us space traveling?”

Reed chuckles a bit. “It’s too inconvenient to do that right now, but I can take you back to my lab to show you the rocket that I made to get there.”

Luffy nods with a smile and stretches his arm over to Bucky. Bucky gets startled when it wraps around him and pulls him to Luffy.

“This is awesome, I get to spend time with a cyborg and another rubber person like me, I like this universe a lot.” He says with a laugh.

In a hour Reed is parking his car in front of a huge building and once luffy gets out of the car he stares at it in amazement.

“This place is huge! You live here by yourself?”

Reed shakes his head as locks the car doors. “My team lives with me, but they’re out doing some busy stuff of their own, so welcome to the Baxter building.”

Reed starts to lead them to do the door and come, luffy stares at the clean lobby of the place and admires how sleek it looks.

“This is way cooler than the other building.” He says as they head to an elevator.

“Wow! This is amazing!” Luffy shouts as he stares at a jet like advanced craft. “Does it really fly?”

“Yes and not only that, it can also separate into four different vehicles.”

“Wow.” Luffy whispers and Bucky nods. “Looks a lot better than stark’s inventions. What else you got, Richards?”

Reed turns around to face Bucky and he smiles a little. “Lately I’ve been working on some new nano tech for your arm, you wanna try it out?”

Bucky thinks for a moment and shakes his head. “Nah, I’m good, appreciate it though.”

“Are you sure? I always hated that stark wouldn’t even make you a new arm after he tore the first one off.”

Once Reed said that, Luffy quickly turns around with a surprise look on his face. “He..He tore off your arm?” He ask while looking at Bucky and Bucky nods. Luffy then growls. “And he wouldn’t give you a new one? When I see him I might punch him.”

Bucky chuckles a bit. “Listen you two don’t need to feel bad for me, it was a misunderstanding and we’re good now.”

“He’s still a jerk to you.” Reed says and Bucky nods. “Listen as long he’s not trying to kill me again, I’m fine. You got anything to drink around here?”

Reed nods. “Some beer, top shelf in the fridge.”

Bucky nods and starts to head out the lab. Once he’s gone, Reed turns to Luffy. “Wanna see something even cooler than this?”

Luffy gives an eager nod and starts to follow Reed. Reed takes him to a work table and on it is a little case. Reed picks it up and opens it to show luffy what’s inside.

“What are they?” Luffy questions and Reed answers. “A.I contact lenses. Open your eyes wide and I’ll put them on for you.”

Luffy nods and makes his eyes wide as possible while Reed takes one out. The first one goes in and it makes Luffy flinch a little. He lets out a squeak when the other one goes in.

“Blink a few times so they can adjust.” Reed says and Luffy does. Once they’re in place, luffy starts to hear a female voice

“Hello, Give me a second while I get to know you.” The voice says and Luffy panics a little. “Who said that?”

“Don’t worry, it’s the artificial intelligence speaking and right now she’s connecting to your brain.”

“It is nice to meet you Monkey D Luffy.” The AI says

“You can just call me Luffy.”

“As you wish, what would you like me to do?” Luffy thinks, not sure what he wants right now. “What can you do?”

“Activate any weapon system around us including weapon satellites, give us access to global networks, scan for medical injuries, grant you access to telecommunications networks, I can also tell you the weather, check your heart rate and sense any possible dangerous situations that may get near you.”

Luffy didn’t really didn’t understand half that stuff, so he only ask “Can you get food for me?”

“If you wish for me to show you the nearest restaurants in town I can do that, I can also put in the orders.”

Luffy then sees list of different restaurants with their addresses come into his vision and Luffy grins. “You’re awesome..what’s your name?”

“I do not currently have one.”

“Why not?” He looks to Reed. “How come she doesn’t have a name?” Reed shrugs a little. “I’ve been so busy with her other features I just forgot to give her one.”

“Then I’ll give her one. Oi, your name is now..hm..oh! Ame!” It takes a few seconds for him to hear her voice again.

“If that is what you wish to call me, then I’m fine with that.” Luffy smiles. “I’m going to go check up on our cyborg, also I’m going to get something to eat.”

“You wanna go by yourself? you know nothing about this place, you can easily get lost.” Luffy is about to say something, but then listens to the Ai voice starts to speak again. “Ame says she’ll give me directions.”

“Well..okay. Just have Ame place an order. She’s linked to my bank account.” Luffy nods and starts to walk out the room, but goes back to grab the little black case the contacts were in. He’s going to take them out once he gets the food. They make his eyes itch a little.

“Can you show me those resurants again, Ame?”

“Certainly.” When luffy walks out the lab, He gets to the living room and he sees Bucky sitting on the couch, drinking a bottle of beer.

There’s also five empty bottles of beer near him. Luffy goes over to him and laughs. “See? you be a perfect pirate if you can down five bottles of beer.”

Bucky rolls his eyes, but smirks. “I got the drinking part down, but I’m definitely not dancing and singing.”

“I can teach you those things.”

“I’m good kid.” Bucky says then takes a sip of his beer and Luffy pouts.

——-

Later Luffy is walking in the streets of New York, trying to find this pizza place he had ame order from.

“Turn left.” Ame says and Luffy nods before walking in a direction he think is the right way. “No, that’s right. Left is the other way.”

“Right.” Luffy says and goes the other way.

“When you get to the sign that says 5th Avenue, make a right.” Luffy nods and keeps a look out for the sign. When he sees it, he goes right.

“I should give you to my friend Zoro, with your help I bet he wouldn’t be lost again.” Luffy says as he keeps walking, but stops once he hears something.

He listens closely. It sounds like crashing. It gets a bit louder and soon he sees something that makes his eyes go wide. Someone goes flying into a parked car, crashing.

“Woah!” Luffy says and rushes over to the person. The person on the car has on a red and blue suit, on it are also spider web designs. On the chest of the suit is a spider symbol and over this person’s face is a mask.”

“Who is this?” Luffy says as he stares the person with curiosity. The lens in his eyes then start scanning the person before answering Luffy’s question.

“That is Spider-Man. He is a hero of New York and an ally to the avengers.”

“A Hero!? That’s so cool!” Luffy then starts to shake the person. “Oi, spider, wake up! Wanna join my crew?”

The person groans and sits up a little “you’re what? Who are you-“ He’s cut off when’s he’s carried off by something.”

Whatever it is throws him into a brick wall.

“What is that?” Again the AI answers for him. “That is vulture, he’s on New York’s most wanted criminal list, his crimes include terrorism, robbery, murder, theft, assault and public disturbances. He has been in prison at least 20 times.”

“Why is he hurting, Spider?”

“It appears that he is an enemy of spider man.”

“So is he a bad guy?”

“Gernally speaking yes.” Luffy looks over the man in the robotic wing suit, watching him pick up Spider-Man and bang into the floor, then picks him up to punch him hard in the face.

Luffy stares, watching the man get hurt. The vultures picks up the hero and slams into the wall to two times, before punching him over and over again.

Luffy then hears the guy speak. “Hope you weren’t thinking I was going to go easy on you just because you saved me from that explosion. You still ruined my life.”

He then throws the hero to the floor.

Luffy’s eyes get wide when he heard that. This hero saved him and this is how he repays him?

“You may think you’re some brave hero, Pete. But you’re just a scared little boy.” The winged man lifts his foot and stomps on the other man, making him screaming pain.

He’s about to do it again, but Luffy’s had enough. He quickly starts to rush over to the winged man and once he gets close enough, he gives him a hard punch to the stomach.

The vulture grunts and falls to the ground.

Luffy stands in front of the hurt hero, looking at the winged man with rage.

“Bird shit for brains! He saved you and this how you repay him?! I’m going to kick your ass!”

The vulture looks at luffy, there’s probably a look of confusion under the mask. “You have a death wish kid? Get lost and mind your own business.”

Luffy just glares at him. “If you wanna get to him, you gotta go through me first.”

The vulture stands up and makes his ways spread out, making him appear bigger. “Everyone wants to be a hero, now a days. Last warning kid. Move.”

Luffy doesn’t, he just stares the vulture down. Waiting for him to make a move.

The vulture starts to fly towards him and Luffy stands still.

“Gum gum-no…”

Once he gets close enough, Luffy makes his next move. “Gatling!” Luffy starts to rapidly throw punches at Vulture, each hit is more painful than the last. Those punches move so fast, it looks like multiple fist are punching vulture.

Meanwhile Spider-Man stares in amazement, probably wondering who Luffy is and how are his punches moving so fast.

At some point those punches get vulture in the face and it actually makes the mask crack

Luffy keeps punching and with one more punch, He sends vulture flying into the wall. Luffy pants and his arms get back to normal length.

He then starts to walk over to vulture. While he does, he takes the contacts out of his eyes and puts them back in the case. He’s probably not going to want them on for what he’s about to do next.

Once he’s close to vulture, he bends down a little to pull off the mask and he throws it to the side. A bald man is now glaring at Luffy, his lip is bleeding and bruises are starting to form on his face a little.

“What the hell are you?”

Luffy flares his nostrils before picking vulture up by his shoulders.

“A pirate.” Luffy growls and to vulture and spider’s man shock, Luffy pulls his head back and it goes stretching far, along with his neck.

“What the-“

Vulture doesn’t get to finish because Luffy makes his neck retract his head fast and in a second, Luffy headbutts him.

Vulture is knocked out and Luffy throws him to the floor. “Asshole.” Luffy mumbles. Suddenly spider man speaks.

“Um..who are you?”

Luffy turns around and gives him a grin.

“Monkey D Luffy.”

Spider-Man grunts and slowly starts to get up. He goes over to Luffy. “So are you..like a new superhero to New York? Did the avengers recruit you?”

“Not really, hey do you know how to get this pizza place called Lenny’s?” Spider-Man nods. “Um yeah, just let me tie this guy up and I’ll show you.”

“Thanks.” Luffy says. “Also you wanna join my crew?”

“Your crew?”

“Yeah, my pirate crew.”

“Cool, I loved pirates when I was little and I always wanted to be one.” Luffy grins. “Then join, the more on my crew, the merrier!”

“Um..well, I don’t think my aunt would like it if I joined a pirate crew. She already freaked out when she found out I’m spider-man.” Spider-man says as he shoots some web at Vulture’s feet and Luffy gasps in excitement.

Luffy grabs his wrist to examine it. “How did you do that?”

“Web blasters, I made them myself.” Luffy stares at him in amazement and presses a button to a wrist band on the hero. Web shoots out and it hits vulture in the face.

“Oh jeeze.” Spider-man says and Luffy laughs.

“Awesome! You have to join my crew!”

Chapter Text

Luffy is sitting on a roof top with spider-man, eating a slice of pizza.

Spider-man stares in amazement as Luffy eats his seventh slice. Does this guy ever get full?  "Dude, slow down, no one's going to steal the pizza you know."

"Sorry, just really hungry."

"I see that." Peter chuckles. "So you're from another universe? What's it's like?"

"It's cool." Luffy says. "You can live carefree as a pirate, there's tons of fantastic islands to go to and treasure to find. Hopefully when Bruce finds a way to send me back, I can get my new cyborg friend to come with me."

"Cyborg?"

"Oh! Sorry, his names Bucky. But cyborg is a cooler name."

"Oh Bucky Barnes. Bucky isn't really the type to join a pirate crew, especially one like yours."

"Why not?" Luffy ask with general curiosity. Peter kicks his legs a little and looks down before answering. "From what I’ve heard he's just had it rough."

"What type of rough?"

The other boy bites his lip and avoides giving Luffy some eye contact. "It's not my place to tell you really and please don't ask him. He doesn't like to talk about it."

Luffy nods.  "I should probably get back to Reed, he's probably wondering where I’m at." Luffy says while taking another slice of pizza and eating it really quick.  "Jesus, Dude." Spider man says.

"Now, how do I get back?" Luffy wonders and thinks about putting back on the contacts so they can give him directions.

"I can show you."  Spider-man says and pulls down the bottom of his mask. "I've been to the Baxter building a few times."

"Thanks spider."

"Call me Peter. We're both working with the avengers so I guess I don't have to hide my identity with you." With that Peter shoots out some web and it hits a street light, he's about to jump to swing, but he looks back to luffy.

"Oh sorry, you know we can walk if you want-"

"gum-gum, no, grab!" Luffy stretches arm to the same street light and grins at Peter. "Walking is boring."

"Yeah, you're right." Peter laughs and jumps off to swing, Luffy does the same. Soon they're both swinging from different places to together, Peter using his web and Luffy using his arms.

In half an hour they get back to the Baxter building, they're getting in through the window and the first person to see them is Reed.

"Luffy, you've been gone for hours, it's nearly night.

"Sorry, I got a bit lost." Luffy says and Peter waves at Reed. "Hi Mr.Richards.”

"Hello, Peter. How's everything?" Reed ask and Peter shrugs. "Same old same old. Fighting crime, the Daily bugle hating me and trying to get home before curfew. You mind if I hang out here a little bit."

Reed nods. "There's some snacks in the fridge that you can help yourself too."

"Cool. Do you also have..a first aid kit?"

Reed immediately looks at Peter with concern, but Peter stops him from getting too worried by saying "it's nothing too serious, I promise. Just some cuts and bruises."

Reed sighs but nods. "One's in the main bathroom, medicine cabinet."

"Thanks." Peter says and takes off his mask. Luffy gets a good look at Peter's face and smiles. "You have a good face, why do you hide it?"

Peter starts to blush a little and stutter. "T-Thanks, but I gotta secret identity to keep. I-I better go find that first aid kid." He says and starts to hurry out the room and bumps into a work table by mistake.

Luffy laughs a little. "He's funny." He says with a slight giggle. He then turns to Reed. "Is my cyborg still here?"

Reed nods. "He's in the living room." Luffy nods and is about to go to the living room, but Reed gets his attention.

"Wait, Luffy."

"Yeah?"

"I can make you a few clothes for you. I know that a person who has the same abilities as me has probably gone through a lot of clothes from them ripping when we stretch."

Luffy nods. "Yeah thad happens a lot, last week I ripped one my favorite pants."

"Well the clothes I can make will stretch with your body. You can take them back with you when Bruce sends you back."

"Really?" Luffy ask and Reed nods.

"Awesome! Finally I can inflate without my shirt ripping. Thanks space."

"Space?"

"You Traveled through space, right?"

"Yes, but-"

"Then the nickname's perfect for you."

With that Luffy leaves the room and says "I'm going to check up on cyborg." When he leaves, Reed has a small smile. "Amusing young man." He says.

When luffy gets to the living room, he's bit shocked to see Bucky laying on the couch with a lot more beer bottles around him.

"Wow, he wasn't kidding when he said he got the drinking part down." He says with a laugh and goes over to him to gently shake his shoulder.

"Oi, robot. Wake up, let's do something fun." While he shakes him, Bucky starts to stir and groan. "No..no, get away! I'm not going back in that chair!"

"Huh?" Luffy says and shakes him again. "Robot, you okay?"

Bucky whimpers and his feet start to kick. "Please, I promise I'll do better, I don't want to go back in that room, please r-rumlow."

Luffy now starts to look concerned. "Bucky?" He says and he shakes him again and Bucky finally wakes ups a little.

"Bucky."  He says and Bucky looks at him with tired and scared eyes.

"W-What?"

"What's wrong? Who's Rumlow?"

Bucky who is still half asleep says "mission leader in a hydra. H-Handler."

"Handler? Like he controls you?"

"Y-Yes. He and the others would take me that room if I-I mess up."

"What room?"

This time Bucky doesn't answer, just whimpers in fear and soon he falling back to sleep.  Luffy is a bit silent for a moment, but then reaches into his pocket to take out the case from earlier.

He takes out the contacts and puts them on.

"Hello Luffy, what can I assist you with?" Ame greets.

"You know everyone right? Like how you know spider and Bird brain?"

"In a way, yes."

"Can you tell me who is Rumlow?"

Luffy waits and in few seconds a list of names come into his vision. "There are about 211 people with that name in New York. How would like to narrow this down?"

"Um..look for something that has something do with Hydra."

A few more seconds pass and Luffy now sees a picture of a man with a scarred face, black hair and stubble. His name is besides the picture.

Brock Rumlow.

"Brock rumlow is an agent of hydra and is one of the most wanted terrorist in the U.S. one of his biggest crimes is being involved in the winter solider project. A trial of experiments with brain washing and torture."

"Give me details on that winter soldier part." Luffy says and waits.

"The winter soldier is also known as James Buchanan Barnes, the man who is right next to you."

"I know that." Luffy says, even though that's a lie. Because he was about to ask who James Bunchan Barnes is. "Don't be mean."

"My apologies. James Buchanan Barnes is a victim of the winter soldier project. He was subjected to torture, brainwashing, memory wipes, physical abuse and starvation."

Luffy's eyes get wide and looks at Bucky. "They..they did that stuff to him?"

"Yes." Ame says and Luffy starts to feel his blood boil.

"I wish I can give this asshole a piece of my mind." He grits.

"Now accessing Hydra's most recent communications network."

Luffy starts to hear static and then a voice.  "Hello, hello, is this base? This is rumlow, we're making a retreat. 20 of our men were captured by avengers."

"Are you Rumlow?" Luffy growls and there's a pause in the other line.

"Who the fuck is this?"

"Oi! You listen to me, you hurt my new friend! And when you hurt my friends, you will deal with me!"

"Who is this?" The man says angrily.

"My name is Monkey D Luffy. My new friend is Bucky Barnes-"

Luffy then a hears a sinister chuckle. "Your friends with our asset? How it's doing?"

"It?"

"Yeah, is it still jumpy? Is it still crying about the chair?"

Luffy now snarls, sounding absolutely feral. "Bucky is not an it. When I find you, I'm going to kick your ass."

The man chuckles. "Well Monkey D Luffy, if you can find me, I'll be waiting. Till then I gotta go. Tell the asset I said hi."

The line goes completely dead.

Luffy is going to find this asshole. Bucky is his friend now. Friends protect friends.

Chapter Text

The next morning luffy is waking up, he slept over at the avengers tower on the couch after Reed drove him and Bucky back there. Well Tony gave him a guest room, but last night he went out of the room to raid the fridge.

'Luffy. It's time to wake up." A voice says and it's Ame.

Luffy groans in annoyance. "Oi Ame, why are you waking me up so early?"

'Reed Richards has installed me with the most efficient alarm clocks."

"Well don't wake me up so early."  Luffy whines, but sits up to wipe his eye a little and the Ai speaks again. "I can set an alarm for later times if you wish." Luffy nods as he gets up. "Sure, but first breakfast."

Luffy heads to the kitchen and opens the fridge. He searches through it until he finds a brown bag with gold M's on it. "What this?"

"That is food from a famous restaurant chain called McDonalds." Ame answers and Luffy grins. "You know everything don't you, Ame?"

"Not everything, but a lot." She answers while he's opening the bag. "Famous huh? Can't be as famous as Sanji's cooking." He reaches into the bag and takes out something that's wrapped. He unwraps and sees a pancake egg sandwich.

"Looks good." He says while examining. "But cold."

'I suggest the microwave.' Ame says

"The what?" Luffy questions and Ame answers. "The device that's installed into the wall over the stove." Luffy looks over to the stove and notices the microwave above it. He goes over to it and pulls the handle. He then puts the sandwich in. "Now what?"

'I suggest pressing the button that says 20 seconds."

Luffy looks at all the different buttons, humming and then finally pressing the one that says 20 on it . The microwave lights up on the inside and Luffy watches with a laugh as it starts rotating the sandwich.

Once it beeps Luffy opens it and takes out the sandwich. "Hot, hot." He mumbles as he unwraps the sandwich. He then blows on it a few times before taking a bite of it.

Luffy's eyes light up instantly and he takes another bite. It's so sweet,  savory and fluffy. "Oi Ame, what is this called?!"

"That is an item from the McDonalds menu called a McGriddle." Luffy grins and takes another greedy bite. "It's heaven, Sanji's cooking is still better, but this is really yummy!"  As he continues to eat the sandwiche, the elevator door to the living room opens.

Walking in the room is a man wearing a purple and black track suit with him is a red hair women wearing a black protective suit with a hood. Both of them look a bit bruised up. The man gives a sigh before saying "well that was fun."

They walk in the room together and the woman speaks. "At least our Uber back here wasn't too expensive." She says.

"$14.65 is too expensive." The man mumbles. "I'm going to sit down, watch tv and eat my McGriddle from yesterday."

The women is about to say something, but then notices Luffy standing the kitchen. She stares at him and he stares at her with his mouth full.

"Uh Clint, I think someone got to it first."

"Huh?" Clint says and looks to the kitchen. He immediately gets annoyed when he sees his sandwich being eaten. He crosses his arms and glares at Luffy.

"Who the hell are you and why are you eating my sandwich?"

Luffy tilts his head while he chews. "I'm eating your sandwich?"

"Yes." Clint grits. "The one in your hand."

"Oh. If it was yours then why didn't you eat it sooner?"

Clint growls annoyance, his hand looks like it's reaching for his bow and arrow. "I was saving it for later!" Luffy looks at him like he's the weirdest person he's met. "What kind of person doesn't eat food as soon as they get it? You're weird." Luffy says and continues to eat the sandwich.

He finishes the last bite and grins. "Yummy. Hey can you maybe ask for bacon on that next time?” Luffy asks, completely oblivious to Clint's annoyance.

Clint looks like he's about to curse him out, but he's cut off when his partner chuckles.

"It's not funny, Nat. Call Tony and tell him that some kid broke in here."

"Oi, I didn't break in here. Tony is letting me be here for a while. So right now I'm a temporary avenger." He grins.

Clint rolls his eyes. "Kid if you're an avenger then I'm Santa clause."

Luffy then gaspes and gets excited. "Really?!"

Clint is now looking at Luffy with so much question and Nat is letting out some giggles.  "You're seriously finding this funny?"

Nat composes herself before saying "well welcome to the avengers." Luffy fist pumps while Clint looks at her with a confused expression. "Seriously? You're accepting him that easily, why?"

"He's funny." Nat says with a shrug and Clint looks more shocked. "He's funny!?"

Luffy grins and goes over to Nat. "I like you, you remind me of a friend. She always seems cold until someone makes her laugh and that someone is usually me." He says with a smile and Nat smiles back.

"My Name is Monkey D. Luffy."

"Natasha Romanoff. The one over there sulking is Clint Burton."

"Oh I thought his name was Santa." But then he shrugs and then stretches his hand over to Barton who is instantly startled.

Clint stares at him but does shake his hand. "So I guess you really are a new recruit or something. You Reed Richard's relative?"

"No." Luffy says pulling his arm back with a grin. "But I wish I was, he's cool." A thought then pops into Luffy's head. "Hey you guys are with the avengers right?"

Both Nat and Clint nod.

"Can you tell me what you know about Hy-"

Suddenly the door opens and Bucky walks in, looking tired as ever.

"Hey luffy. Hey nat, Hey Clint."

"Hey buck." Both Nat and Clint say and Luffy rushes over to Bucky. "Robot man!" Luffy says and gives him a hug.  Bucky definitely wasn't expecting that. "Luffy?"

"Don't worry." Luffy says while giving Bucky a look filled with promise. "They'll pay."

"What are you talking about-"

Bucky is then cut off from a loud bang outside. "What the?" Bucky says and goes to one of the windows, Luffy follows him.

They get to the window and outside they see Tons of guards and they're struggling holding someone down. It's a tall man in a bullet proof suit and vest. He's in heavy duty handcuffs and shackles.

He's fighting with the Guards that are trying to escort him to the building.  Bucky recognizes the man and he immediately knows something is different about him.

"He actually took it." Bucky mumbles.

"Huh? Who is that?" Luffy questions.

"He's...He's an agent of hydra. His name is Jack Rollins. I think he took winter solider serum."

"The what?"

"The same stuff that made me strong."

"Oh." Luffy says with a nod. "But how do you know?" Bucky examines Rollins more before answering. "He's bigger than before, the cuffs on him are made for super soldiers."

"What's he's doing here?"

"He must be one of the captures from Tony's mission." Luffy thinks for a moment before asking "Is he's..one of the people who hurt you?" Bucky doesn't look at him when he nods.

Luffy growls, then looks at the man below with hate. "Where are they taking him?"

"To the cellar prison of the building. They're probably going to question him before transferring him."

"Well I wanna question him too, take me down there."

Bucky sighs and shakes his head. "Listen luffy you don't have to be so concerned about me."

"But you’re my friend! And people who hurt my friends deal with me." Luffy steps away from the window and turns to Clint and Nat. "Oi! Nat, Clint. The man down there...I want to kick his ass! I also want to kick Brock rumlow's ass, so help me get down to the cellar so I can do the first thing...please."

Clint and Nat stare at luffy. Not really knowing what to say. Clint rolls his eyes. "Kid, unless your authorize to go down there we aren't obligated to-"

"Sure." Nat says casually.

"Nat!"

Nat shrugs and looks to Clint. "Let's be honest Clint, it's about time someone actually kicked their asses." Clint huffs. "I feel like you're just doing it because he made you laugh."

"Maybe." Nat says just to mess with Clint. She reaches into her pocket and takes out her security card. She tosses to luffy who catches it. "Use that to get in. Press the last bottom button in the elevator."

Luffy smiles. "Thanks, red."  He then turns to Bucky. "Let's go cyborg." He grabs Bucky's arm and starts to pull him to the elevator.  "Damn it." Bucky mumbles as he lets luffy lead him to the elevator.

When they get to the cellar of the building, Luffy and Bucky walk down a white hallway. They approach a door at the end of it.

"Give me the card." Bucky says and Luffy does. Bucky puts the card on the a pad near the door and it automatically unlocks. Bucky opens the door and they continue to walk.

Soon they see Tony, Bruce, Sam and some other guy with blonde short hair, he has some type of ax in his hand. "That must be where the bastard is!" Luffy says and starts to run up to them.

"Luffy wait!" Bucky says and starts to run after him.

Meanwhile the group of men are talking. "He's not going to talk." Tony simply says.

"We don't have any type of truth serum?"  Sam ask.

"We could just beat it out of him-"

"For the last time, no Thor." Bruce says. And he's about to say something else but they hear foot steps. They look over and see Bucky and Luffy.

"What the?" Tony questions. "Barnes, what are you doing down here?"

"And why is the kid with you?" Sam

"Where is he!?" Luffy shouts and Luffy stops near them to look in a cell that's across from them. Inside he sees Rollins sitting on a bench still cuffed.

"Let me in there, I wanna know how to find Rumlow."

"What?" Sam says. "Kid this isn't some game, you may have powers but that doesn't mean you get to be involved in stuff like this and how do you know who Rumlow is?" Sam looks over to Bucky. "Did you tell him?"

"No, I didn't."

"Then how does he-“

"Ame told me." Luffy says and all of them look at him with question. "Who's Ame?" Steve questions.

"A pair of contact lens that knows everything." Luffy says with pride. "Reed gave her to me."

"Wait..Reed Richards gave you AI contact lens? Reed Richards the smartest man in the world gave one of his most advanced pieces of technology to some kid like you?" Tony ask. "Why?"

Luffy shrugs. "Cause he likes me."

"Unbelievable." Tony mumbles. "Meanwhile I can't even get him to let me barrow a pair of rocket boots."

Luffy rolls his eyes. "Just let me in so I can talk to him."

Tony smirks. "You know what kid, fine. Do it. If you succeed I'll get you a free lunch or something. But if you can't get him to spill.." Tony smirks some more. "You let me have those contacts for a while, so I can tweek them to be for me."

Steve sighs and cuts in.

"Come Tony, let's not do this, we all know what’s going to be the outcome-"

"You're on captain stark!" Luffy says and Thor smirks. "This kid has some Spirit."

"Of course I do. I'm a pirate after all. Now open the door." Tony grins and presses a button to the door. "Go get em tiger."

"Fury is going to kill us if he finds out about this." Bruce mumbles.

Luffy goes inside and stands in front of the man who's sitting on a bench in the cell. Rollins looks at Luffy up and down before chuckling. "They send some newbie to question me? Shouldn't you be in school kid?” He then looks at Luffy more before saying

"All though..those scars, especially that big one your chest tells me you've been through some shit, huh? So what's your story? Hydra killed your family and you’re out for revenge?" he says with a laugh.

Meanwhile the group outside the cell can hear what Rollins is saying. "A lot can be said about a warrior from what scars they have." Thor says. "Where did you find this kid?"

"Different universe, I'll explain the whole thing later." Bruce says.

"So kid, what's your deal? Why do you want to talk to me?”

"Tell me where Rumlow is." Luffy demands blunty. Rollins pretends to think for a moment before answering. "Sorry, don't know who you're talking about."

Luffy growls and clenches his fist.

"You're going to tell me where he is.”

Rollins laughs. "Even if I know this person, What do you want from him?"

"I want to kick his ass for my friend. Bucky." Rollins smirks. "Ah. The asset."

"Don't call him that!" Luffy shouts and Rollins relaxes a bit. He puts his legs on the bench. "We had some nice memories together. One of my favorites is when I made him crawl around naked and beg for food like a dog. Good times."

Luffy could feel a his anger rising, how dare this piece of shit. Luffy can't imagine how Bucky must of felt under these bastards control.

Rollins then stands up and does something that shocks almost everyone. He easily breaks the cuffs on him.

"Oh. Shit." Tony whispers while the others stare wide eyed.  "Get him out of there." Steve says.

Tony is about to press the button to the cell, but Thor grabs his wrist. "Wait. Something tells me he doesn't need our help."

Rollins smirks down at luffy. "It was nice going down memory lane, but I gotta get out of here. Now move before you’re time as a newbie is cut short."

But Luffy doesn't move.  He stares Rollins in the eye. "Move? Yeah I'm not going to pass up the opportunity to beat the hell out of you."

Rollins sneers. "Real cute kid, but move."

"No." Luffy growls.  Rollins glares. "Your funeral."  He's about to go over to Luffy.

"Gum-Gum no.." Luffy says and his arm turn jet black and they harden.

"What the?" Bucky questions outside the cell and everyone else is wondering the same thing.

"Can Reed do that?" Tony questions.

"If that's some power to intimidate me kid, it's not going to work. What I have pumped into me has probably made me stronger than the asset."

"Not stronger than me. Hawk Gatling!" Luffy then starts to throw rapid fire punches at the man. As soon as they hit Rollins, his eyes go wide. Those punches feel like he's getting hit with lead pipes.

"Oh my god." Sam says outside the cell. "How strong is this kid?"

Meanwhile Thor is is grinning. "I definitely like him."

Luffy’s punches get faster and faster, it's making Rollins having a hard time standing up. One fist hits in his chest and he starts to cough up some blood.  Those punches makes his whole body start to turn numb. His nose breaks when one fist gets him straight in the middle of his face.

All of them continue to watch in awe as Luffy continues to throw punches. "Remind to never piss this kid, off." Tony mumbles.

Soon luffy stops and his arms go back to normal. Rollins stands in the cell in complete shock and pain. He then falls to the floor, coughing up more blood.

"Tell me where he is." Luffy grits.

Rollins gulps, but then starts to talk.

After getting everything he needed to know, Luffy comes out the cell.

Thor is the first one to go over to him. He gives Luffy a slap on the back. "That was incredible! Those punches were so fast, it almost looked like you had multiple arms! You need to teach me that."

"Pretty sure only someone with a stretch ability can do that." Bruce says and Thor groans in disappointment. "But anyway I'm Thor and if you ever want a sparing match. Find me."

"Monkey D. luffy." Luffy says with a smile. "To be honest I went easy on him."

"I'm not sure if hitting him with metal fist is going easy on him." Bucky says and Luffy laughs. "He's lucky I wasn't pissed off enough to do an elephant gun."

Thor's eyes light up with curiosity. "Elephant gun? What's that?"

Luffy grins before putting his thumb to his mouth. He then blows into it and what happens next makes everyone's jaw almost drop.

His hand and arm starts to grow big. It grows bigger as he keeps blowing. Soon it’s nearly to the ceiling and Luffy stops blowing.

"Hardening." Luffy says and his huge fist turns metal.

All of them look up at the huge fist in awe and Tony speaks. "Kid's a damn Toon."

"On steroids." Sam says and meanwhile Bucky is still looking up the huge arm. A million thoughts run in his head before he grins. Luffy is just so..so..

"Cool." Buck says with a grin. “So cool." And Thor also grins. "I agree." He says and Luffy gives a bright smile.

Chapter Text

Luffy is on a couch eating a red bean bun, Bucky's right next to him and is slurping on some Ramen. Bucky is in a tropical flower shirt he changed into a few hours ago after taking a shower. He also lend Luffy some different clothes to wear. A black button shirt with tropical pink flowers. All though luffy didn’t button it up like his last shirt.

Bucky burps a little making Luffy grin. "Nice one."

Bucky rolls his eyes a little before going back to eating. They're not just the only ones eating, everyone else is also chowing down.

On the main avengers table is a spread of take out food Tony paid for. The only reason Tony got it was because luffy reminded them of they're bet. Luffy listed all the stuff that he wanted that mainly sounded like Japanese food, so after the straw hat boy rambled what he wanted he just had Jarvis place the order.

"So let me this straight." Clint says after taking a sip of beer. "You're a pirate from a different universe, looking to be king of the pirates?”

Luffy nods with a grin before stretching his arm over to the main table to get a pork bun. He takes a big bite. "I want to find the treasure hidden by Gold D Roger. He's was a legend and once I find it, I'll be known as the greatest pirate who ever lived."

"No offense kid..you're a little goofy to be a pirate."

"He maybe goofy, but trust me, the punches this one throws are awesome. Knocked out Rollins with in 10 seconds."

“Kid you mind telling me exactly how you did that with your arm? The..inflation?” Tony ask

“Oh that. Well, when I put my thumb to my mouth I don’t just blow, I bite down on it so it creates an opening” He demstrotes by putting his thumb into his mouth and biting. “I mainly blow into my bones to make them inflate.” Luffy then blows and his arm starts to inflate but he doesn’t make it huge like he did before. He gets it to a decent size and stops blowing.

The avengers stare in awe at the size of his arm. It was so scrawny one moment ago. “I can transfer this from one limb to…”

Luffy holds his breath a little and that air transfers to his chest making it puff up. “To another.” He then gets his other arm to inflate.

“So basically you use looney tune techniques.” Clint says.

“Pretty sure it’s more like Tom and Jerry.” Steve says.

“Whatever it is it’s amazing!" Thor shouts , then bends down to the coffee table and puts his elbow on it, then looks at Luffy with challenge in his eyes. Luffy is a bit confused, but then realizes what Thor wants. He gets down off the couch to bend down to the coffee table. He grabs Thor's hand with his inflated one and they start to arm wrestle.

"So tell me, what things have you've witnessed as a pirate?” Thor ask with a grunt as he tries to get Luffy's arm down.

"Lots." Luffy grunts. "I've seen huge sea creatures called sea kings, mermaids and fishmen. I've once seen an island of only women."

"You have amazons in your universe?" Clint questions.

"What's an Amazon?" Luffy ask and his hand is still at the moment, but even though it's still, Thor is still having a hard time bringing it down.

Everyone watches as Thor and Luffy continue to arm wrestle, but the elevator door opens and the person who steps in the room looks at them with complete annoyance.

Tony turns his head to see who it is and he frowns. "Look lively guys, it's the principal."  All of them stop what they're doing and look to see who walked in.

Tony decides to speak to the person. "Fury before you get mad and calling us a butch of stupid motherf-"

"Shut up." Fury only says and walks further in the room. Thor lets go of Luffy's hand to stand up. "Ah fury, good timing, listen any chance you could send some people to retrieve my hammer? I've looked on Facebook where there is butch of tourist in Scotland who say it’s on display at a museum, but I’m not sure if it's replica-"

"Stop. Talking." Fury only says and Thor nods. "Right. I'll just eat. Luffy bring over that plate of those octopus balls."

Luffy nods and stretches his arm over to the main to table and grabs a plate of takoyaki. Once he gets the plate to him, Thor takes four to eat while Luffy puts the plate on his lap and starts to eat the rest.

Fury stares at luffy and Luffy stares at him back while he continues to stuff his face. It's intense moment of silence and almost no one makes a move.

Luffy oblivious to the tension in the air and stuffs more takoyaki in his mouth before saying

"You sure do stare a lot for someone who has one eye."

Everyone tenses and starts to look nervous. Tony can't help but snicker. "The nerve of this kid." He mumbles.

Fury crosses his arm, still glaring at Luffy before saying "Can anyone explain to me why I got a report of some kid breaking into the avengers cellar prison, going into Rollins cell and fighting him?”

"Which I won." Luffy says with a grin and Bucky face palms a bit from Luffy just being so oblivious to how much trouble he could be in right now. "Stark explain now. Why did you let him into the cell?"

Tony shrugs and says "he promised me half of his buried treasure.” He jokes. Luffy looks surprised now and says "I did!?"  Again Bucky face palms.

Fury then looks to Luffy. "Who the hell are you?”

Luffy grins as finishes the rest of the takoyaki, Steve can be heard sluking about not getting any.  "Monkey D Luffy."

"Okay..monkey D Luffy, I'm going to ask you a few questions and if I see that you're lying you will regret it. On the security camera it shows you using special abilities to take down Rollins, how did you obtain them?"

"I ate a devil fruit."

"A what?"

"A devil fruit. A special fruit that made me rubber. You don't have them in your universe, but they're in mine. Very little is known about where they came from."

"They exist in your what?" Fury ask and Bruce gulps, hoping Fury doesn't notice him looking nervous. "Banner. Stark-"

"Bruce did it." Tony says and Bruce glares at him. Fury huffs and looks to Bruce. "We'll have words, later. Now back to you. What are you?"

"A pirate."

Fury looks at him up and down before saying "Out of all the answers I was expecting I wasn't expecting that one. Why did you attack Rollins?”

Luffy huffs a little before wrapping his arms all around Bucky to hug him. "He hurt my new friend and future crew mate."

"For the last time I'm not going to be a pirate." Bucky flatly says.

Luffy unwraps his arms from Bucky and actually starts to look serious. "But I also hurt him because he's a bad guy. Him and his hydra crew hurt people and when I see their captain I'll kick his ass."

"They're Captain?" Fury questions.

"Brock Rumlow."

Fury puts on a fake laugh and shakes his head. "The shit I have to deal with." He mumbles. "Kid, Rumlow is far from their captain. They're true...captain is almost unknown at this point."

Luffy laughs a little. "So he's just some lame subordinate? that's funny."

Fury only grunts before looking to Tony and Bruce. "I'll be sending over a carrier to transfer him to a safe house until you find a way to send him back."

"But fury-" Bruce argues.

"End of discussion."  Fury says and goes to the elevator. Everything is silent for a moment, nobody says anything. Except for Luffy.

"A safe house? What does he mean?” Almost everyone is too nervous to tell him. It's nothing too bad. Fury is not going to lock him up in a prison, just keep him isolated. Fury does this when he finds someone who might be too much of a liability

Tony hesitates before answering. "He means..He means..

"I'll tell him." Bucky says and stands up. "Luffy lets go talk somewhere private, my room."

Luffy nods with a smile and starts to get up to follow Bucky.

Soon they're in Bucky's room. It's on thr 60th floor of the tower, along with the other avengers rooms.

The room its self is pretty baron. There's only a bed, some weights and some books on a small night stand. Bucky barely uses the room, he only uses it if he has no where else to go.

"Luffy." Bucky says and luffy instantly pays attention after messing with some of Bucky's weights.

"What fury means..what he means is..." Bucky starts to think. He starts to think how luffy made a promise to him that they'll pay. He starts to think everything hydra has done to him. Used him as a weapon, use him as toy to take their frustrations out on, humiliated him, how they took nearly everything from him.

"Luffy." Bucky says.

"Yeah?" Luffy ask.

"We're going to go kick their asses."

It takes almost a second for Luffy to realize what Bucky just said and he laughs with pure joy. "Let's set sail then shall we?"

Bucky nods. "I have a car thats parked two block from here. I just gotta quietly get you out of the tower so we can go."

Luffy nods and thinks, but then perks up when he gets an idea. He goes to the big window to open it and he looks out. "You say it's two block from here." Bucky nods. "Near 12th avenue,  we go down the that street and keep going straight.” buck says while pointing.

Luffy nods and keeps looking out until he spots a street light in the direction Bucky pointed at. Luffy stretches his arm out the window and in a minute his hand grabs the street light.

"Um..what are you doing?" Bucky questions

Luffy grins. "Like I said let's set sail.”

"Luffy.." Bucky says with nervousness. Luffy then starts to walk backwards making his arm stretch even more.

He gets all the way to the back of the room and then stretches arm over to Bucky to wrap it around his waist. "Luffy lets just take the elevator."

"But that's boring." Luffy grins. "Gum-Gum no.."

"Wait!" Bucky says, buts it's too late he finds himself being pulled fast.

"Rocket!"

they go flying out the window and Bucky's heart nearly stops when they go in the air. Luffy laughs while they soar.

"You're fucking insane!" Bucky shouts. Bucky keeps on screaming at Luffy as they keep flying. Luffy looks down and points. "Is that your car?"

"Yes! Now get us safely down!"

"No problem." Luffy says with a chuckle. Luffy throws Bucky a bit back that way he's falling ahead of him.

"Gum-Gum no, Ballon!"

Luffy inflicts himself like a ballon and when he lands he bounces a little. Bucky is then finally coming down after him, still cursing the hell out of luffy.

He lands on his back on Luffy's stomach with a slight bounce.  He lays there for moment breathing heavily.

"Oi cyborg, Climb down so I can get back to regular size."  Bucky nods and sits up.  He carefully gets off of luffy and Luffy deflates.

"Luffy..you're a fucking nut job." He says. But then grins. "But that was cool." Luffy grins.  They both get in the card and Bucky takes out his keys.  After starting the car, bucky speeds off.

"Fury is going to kill me for this." Bucky mumbles. As they drive, Luffy spots something that makes his eyes light up. He says a huge golden M down the road

"Ame, is that the McDonalds place you told me about?"

"Yes." The AI simply says and Luffy gets even more excited. "Oi robot! Let's stop there first!" He says while pointing to the upcoming restaurant. Bucky rolls his eyes a little. "We're on our way to basically fight one of the most dangerous domestic terrorist  and you want to stop at McDonalds first?"

"Yes." Luffy say plainly.

"You are something else kid." Bucky mumbles, but pulls into the parking lot of the restaurant and gets to the drive though.

Chapter Text

It takes hours for them to get to where they need to go, but they finally make it to where they needed to go first. While driving Bucky had to make a phone call, it was a type of call that he didn’t think he would ever have to make.

They’re at an abandon, run down house in buffalo New York.  It’s in an a vast, empty field. Luffy looks confused "Why are we here? I thought we were going to hydra."

"We are, but first we need some information." Bucky says and gets out the car. Luffy does the same and they get to the abandoned house. In front of that house are a few women. Women who have shaved heads and are in armor. There's one girl with long hair in two buns. She's wearing a graphic T-shirt and shorts. She's also sipping on a Bobba drink and eating a slice of pizza that’s on a plate.

"You know the reason why I agreed to this is so I can go to that pizza place Peter showed me."

"Of course." Bucky says flatly. "He's in there?" The girl nods. "I hope you know what you're doing."

"I am, thank you for doing this for me shuri."

Shuri nods and smiles. "You know if you really want to thank me you can-"

"I'm not fighting M'baku just so you can win a bet." Bucky says flatly.

"Oh come on. You can take him."

"No." Bucky says and she pouts. Bucky turns to Luffy. "Stay out here for a few minutes, I need to talk to someone."

"To who?"

"Some asshole." Bucky says and Luffy laughs a little at his dry humor. "While I'm in there don't do anything stupid."

"Aye, aye." Luffy grins with a salute and Bucky rolls his eyes before going into the house. When he gets inside he sees a man in handcuffs and a blue jump suit. Two guards with spears are standing near him.

The man smirks. "James, it's nice to see you."

"Go to hell." Bucky says and the man only gives a fake smile. "So what do I owe the pleasure?"

"You still kept tabs on hydra before you were imprisoned. I need to know they’re base."

"James, I'm pretty sure they're still in Sokvia." Bucky huffs and crosses his arms. "I'm pretty sure that's not the case anymore after that base was discovered by the avengers. What's one of their other bases that hasn't been discovered yet?”

Zemo tilts his head. "Why do you need to know James?"

"Because I just do. Now tell me." Zemo chuckles and shakes his head. "Because you just do? James if you can't give me a valid reason then why should I help you?"

Bucky stares at him while his fist clenches. Bucky goes over to him and stares him in the eye. "It's none of your business. Now tell me." Zemo smiles at Bucky.

"What has you all angry, James?"

Back outside, Luffy is sitting on the grass, bored out of his mind. "Geeze what's taking so long? At this rate I'll never get to kick Hydra's ass."

Shuri looks at Luffy with question. "You guys are trying to find hydra? Why?"

"Because me and Bucky want to kick their asses." Shuri snorts a little. "Well I guess that's a good reason. So are you Bucky's new partner? I'm surprised he scared off Sam so quickly."

"Bucky's my friend." Luffy says with a smile. "And these hydra assholes hurt him. That's why I want to kick their asses."

"Hm. While Bucky was in my country, I always asked him if he ever wanted to get back at them, he always said no."

"Why?"

"I..I guess well it's because he's scared. Which I really can’t blame him for. What Hydra has done to people is disgusting. They all need to be punished. Are the other avengers going to help you guys?”

Luffy shakes his head. "No. We jumped out of a window to sneak out and not tell them."

Shuri looks at him with wide eyes. "You..you two jumped out of a window?”

Luffy nods with a grin. "Bucky wasn't too happy though. He called me insane."

Shuri laughs a little. "I would never expect Bucky to make a friend like you. What's your name?"

"Monkey D.Luffy." He says and then sighs. "He's taking too long." Luffy whines. "I wish I knew what they were talking about."

"Now connecting to auditory lobe for advancing hearing." Ame says.

Luffy winces when he feels a slight pain in his head. "Ah, make sure you disconnect when you're done."

"Certainly." The AI says.

Luffy listens closer and soon starts to hear Bucky talking to someone.

"Well james since you seem so eager to know where they are now, I will be willing to tell you." The person says.  "Good." Bucky grunts.

"But I want one thing from you."

"And what is that?" Bucky ask with an annoyed tone.

"I want a kiss from you, one on the cheek." Luffy's eyes get wide.

Back inside Bucky is staring at Zemo with a bit of superised on his face. "W-What?"

"I want a kiss. I always felt a connection between you and me. We're both lonely people with things taken away from us by bad people.”

Bucky growls. "You fucking asshole. We are nothing a like."

Zemo smiles. "Just one kiss on the cheek and I'll sing like a bird."

"No."

Zemo scowls. "How cruel of you James, you drag me all the way out of here and you can't do one small thing?." Zemo then smirks.

"Maybe you'll do it if I say those lovely words-"

"Go fuck yourself."

"James. Be responsible-"

"No, shut up! And stop talking like we're friends or anything closer. You are part of the reason why my life is hard. You framed me for a murder, almost had me killed, almost made me kill my childhood friend, you are a piece crap!"

"I ruined your life James? I'm not the one who pumped you up with a dangerous drug to turn you into a weapon." Zemo then smiles almost a little sadly.

"I wish I could have gotten my hands on you again. You've have been a great tool for me to use to get back at everyone who wronged me in life.”

"I'm not a to-"

"Let's face James, that's all you are and all you've ever be. You think the avengers care about you? You're another tool for them to fight bad guys."

Back at outside Luffy feels one of his veins almost popping in his forehead. He's so fucking pissed.

"Gear 2." He says. His blood flow gets fast in his legs and steam comes off of him, making Shuri and the guards look at him with curiosity.

"Hey, how come your body is smoking-"

"Move for a minute." Luffy grunts. The guards glare a little and one of them speak.  "We will not move unless the princess-"

"I think we should move." Shuri says. She's not sure what's about to happen, but she doesn't want to be in the way of it. The guards nod and move away from the door of the house.

Luffy throws both of his arms back.

"Gomu-Gomu no!" He yells.

Shuri a little surprised and shrugs. "Hm, I didn't know Reed Richards had a son."

Luffy then flings himself towards the door fast.

"JET BAZOOKA!"

He collides into the door and it's completely obliterated from the impact. Shuri is completely taken a back.

"Holy shit." She says.

Back inside the house, Bucky hears a loud crash. "What the?" He turns around and Sees Luffy. Steam is coming off of him and he looks pissed .

"What is the meaning of this?" One of the guards say.

"Luffy I told you to stay outside." Bucky says and Luffy looks around and his eyes land on Zemo.

"Oi. Bucky said you did all those things to hurt him. Is that true?”

Zemo sighs. "Another super powered soldier. Hydra is making too many of you. But if you want me to be honest, yes. I did all those things. You're too young to understand, but it was something that needed to be done."

Luffy doesn't say anything for a moment. After an almost a minute of silence he says.

"I'm going to punch you now."

Luffy uses gear 2 to move in a blink of an eye. He's suddenly in front of Zemo and he gives him a punch to the face.  He knocks Zemo to the floor while looking infuriated.

"Luffy!" Bucky shouts. Meanwhile Shuri is looking in awe.

"Cool." She says.

Luffy picks up Zemo by the shirt and growls. "Tell us where they are. Now." He says with a menacing glare and Zemo spits out some blood before nodding.

"They have a base in Switzerland."

After they get what they needed, Luffy is walking out the house with Bucky with a grin. "So we just gotta go to this Switzerland place and kick their asses, right?”

"Luffy, I thought I told you not to do something stupid." Bucky says and Luffy pouts. "Protecting your friends isn't stupid."

Before they could get in the car, Shuri catches up with them.

"Wait! Hold on!" She says and goes over to them. She goes over to Luffy and says "That was so cool! How did you do that?"

"Hm? Oh I just pump up my blood fast." Luffy demonstrates by pumping his blood again, making him all steamy again.

"Wow. I guess since you're veins snd organs are rubber like, you can take it...why can't Reed be this imaginative with his own powers?" She mumbles the last part.

She then grins. "You know maybe you can help me. There's guy in my country-"

Bucky grabs Luffy's wrist and starts to pull towards the car.

"No." He only says.

Chapter Text

Bucky and luffy are pulling into the parking lot of an airport. They drove 2 and half miles to the place, Bucky turns off the car and they both get out.

"Why are we here?" Luffy ask.

"To get to Switzerland." Bucky says and Luffy looks a little confused.

"Shouldn't we go after Rumlow? I know where he is? His dumb subordinate told me he's in this place called the Bronx on..what was that address again?"

"8559 Avenue lane. Abandoned apartment building c." Ame answers.

"Right. Thanks Ame."

"Even if he did tell you, Brock is probably heading back towards Switzerland by now. So we gotta go there instead."

Luffy nods while he walks with Bucky. "Listen while we're in there, don't do anything that is going to get us kicked out. I do not wanna hear a single Gomu-Gomu no while we are in there. Understand?"

Luffy nods with a grin. "Sure no problem. But..what if it's necessary?"

"I'll tell you when it's necessary. Now luckily since I'm part of the avengers this airport will have a private jet for us."

"Why?"

The state has decided that we get special traveling treatment since we basically save the world."

"Cool." Luffy says and they go in the airport. There's a lot of people with brief cases and lines with people buying tickets.

Bucky looks around until he sees a window that has no line to it. The sign says close. That's where they need to go. "Luffy come on-"

"Oh my god, chili dogs !" Luffy shouts and starts to head to one of the airport restaurants. Bucky sees he's going to restaurant called Krystal’s. Near it is a sign that says 'chili dog meals, half off."

"For fuck sakes." Bucky says and follows him.

Luffy immediately goes to the register counter and looks at the menu. "Luffy we gotta go." Bucky says to him once he gets in.

"But we'll need food for our trip."

"There are stocked peanuts on the jet, we'll be fine."

"Peanuts? I can't just have a meal of peanuts." Luffy whines and Bucky rolls his eyes.

"Also you get really hungry a lot too."

"What the hell makes you say that?" Luffy grins. "You had five McDonald burgers on the way here."

Bucky almost hates that Luffy is right. Due to the serum his metabolism has gotten faster. On cue Bucky's stomach growls. Luffy laughs at him, making Bucky glare.

Bucky then turns to the cashier. "We'll take a catering box of mini dogs."

"Chili or no chili."

"Chili!" Luffy says excitedly and Bucky only nods. The cashier nods and punches in the order while Bucky gets out his credit card.

After paying Bucky says "wait here, I'm getting our tickets."

Luffy nods and Bucky goes out the restaurant and he starts to go to the vacant ticket window. The women looks up from the book she's reading. "Sorry sir this ticket window is closed."

Bucky doesn't say anything, he just takes out his wallet and shows her a certain ID. She looks at it and nods.

"The jet will be ready 25 minutes and is your whole team with you?"

"No just me..and a plus one."

"Destination?"

"Switzerland." She nods and opens her laptop in front of her. "We will have some escorts take you-"

“I remember where it is. Basement floor. Lot 6." Bucky says and she only nods and before opening a drawer and taking out an access key card. "The Jet is AI operated."

She gives him the card and he takes it. "Thank you."

Once he's starts to walk away. He sees two people coming towards him. "Damn it." He mumbles. He sees Steve and Sam. Both in their gear.

"Barnes." Sam starts. "What the hell?" He ask.

"I should be saying what the hell, because how did you two find me?" Bucky says and Steve hesitates before saying "Tony did put a tracker on your car when you first joined."

"Of course he did." Bucky says flatly "Listen I'll be back soon, you two just try to keep fury off my trail for now. I'm not letting him lock luffy in some safe house."

"Bucky, I know fury's idea is a bit much, but he'll be protected there." Steve says.

"While being a prisoner. Fury can give me hell later, right now I need to do something."

"And that is?.." Sam ask.

"At the moment that's classified." Bucky says and starts to walk. Steve and Sam follow him. "Buck..listen we won't tell fury, but at least let us go with you. Just in case." Bucky rolls his eyes. "I don't need chaperones, Steve. We'll be fine-"

"Barnes we're going with you and that's final." Sam says and Bucky, flips him off, making Steve sigh. "Okay, how about this. We go with you, but leave once you get to your destination." Bucky thinks for a moment before huffing with a nod.

"But you two better keep your mouths shut if Fury ask you anything."

"Promise." Both Steve and Sam say at the same times. "But..we originally didn't come here for you. We got another mission."

"Here? For what?"

"Hydra sent out one of their cronies to target this place. Another super solider..but this one..it's a bit meaner. Meaner than you even." Sam says with a lightly joking tone.

"You think he's here right now?"

"possibly."

Back in the restaurant the food is placed on the counter in front of Luffy. Luffy grins as he smells the food. "Yummy." He says and takes the bag.

He turns around, about to leave the restaurant, but he sees someone strange enter the restaurant. A 6 ft tall man with black hair and wearing body armour.

Hr has two robotic legs and a two rocket launchers on his back. He also has weapons on his waist belt. He comes in and everyone looks a bit scared.

"Who is that?" Luffy mumbles and his AI does a scan.

"I can't pull up any records of this individual." She says.

The man continues to walk in the restaurant and the cashier comes over. "Excuse me sir, but you can't have any weapons in this-"

The man takes out one gun and shoots him in the head. A loud bang echoes through the restaurant and everyone is silent and in shock.

People then start screaming and running. Luffy looks flabbergasted and looks at the blood splatter that got on the counter.

"Oi, why did you do that?"

The man gives him an empty stare before grabbing Luffy by the neck. Luffy chokes and struggles while growling. "Let go!"

The man doesn't say anything, he just throws Luffy into a wall. He crashes into it and a huge hole is created from the impact.

The soldier then finally speaks. "Whoever gets in hydra's way, will be destroyed."

The man starts walking out the restaurant and takes out one of his guns. He starts shooting and more people panic.

Meanwhile Luffy gets up from the pile of plaster and brick. He groans before standing up. "Bastard. A big one." He then smirks. "But I can be big too."

Luffy then puts his thumb to his mouth.

Back outside Steve, Sam and Bucky see the chaos that's happening.  They see that cronie they were talking about.

The man then takes out a gerenade and throws it at a group of officers who are running towards him. It explodes and the carnage it leaves behind is horrific.

The soldier then spots the three men. His main focus is o Bucky.

"James Barnes. You have turned your back on hydra. You must pay for that crime with your life. I wasn't expecting you to be here, but I guess I can destroy this place along with you."

He starts to walk towards Bucky and Bucky starts to walk towards him.

"Bucky-" Steve starts.

"I got it. You two just focus on getting people out of here."

"Bucky, like I said this guy is a whole different ball game and we would rather not have you killed." Sam says.

Bucky stops for a moment. He grins. "I know, but I rather be killed then have you two gone. The world needs you two, not me. Tell luffy to make to kick hydra’s ass for me.”

Bucky then starts to run towards the bigger man.

"Bucky!" Steve shouts.

Once Bucky is near the other super soldier he gives him a punch to the face, but unfortunately that doesn't do anything.

The soldier smirks before Kicking Bucky across the face. Bucky goes down while blood spills out of his mouth. He gasp and chokes while he skids across the floor.

Bucky curses, but gets right back up and runs over to him, he devilers more punches, but they don't do anything. The guy is nearly indestructible.

"Come on pal, you're being brained wash." Bucky says. "You don’t want to do this."

Soldier Gives a nasty grin before grabbing Bucky by his long hair. Bucky hisses as he's picked up, his scalp his burning.

"I'm not. A world run by Hydra is what I want and what I will die for. All hail Hydra."  Bucky is then slammed hard into the ground.

Steve and Sam start to panic and run over to help their friend, but the soldier raises his foot over Bucky's face. "Once more step and his head will be crushed." He says.

He then looks back at Bucky. "They said you were a challenge. Looks like they were wrong." He's about to bring his foot down, but something starts coming straight towards him.

It's a stretched out arm with a fist.

"What the-"

He's cut from a hard punch to the face. It sends him flying off and crashing into a display case of model planes.

Bucky sits up and looks over to his right. He sees a big figure standing not too far. He has huge muscles and he's bouncing on his feet.

Bucky instantly recognizes him.

"Luffy?" He says.

Steve and Sam look at at the boy too with shocked expressions. "He's huge." Sam says. Luffy gives a heavy breath and keeps bouncing.

"Gear 4, Bounce man." He says.

Bucky gets up and goes over to him. "Luffy I don't need you getting hurt."

"I won't." Luffy says in a rough voice while he keeps bouncing.

The super solider gets up and growls in annoyance. "You should be dead."

"You thought a weak attack like yours could kill me and How dare you hurt my friend."

The solider glares at him and then at Bucky. "Friend? That trash is your friend." The man then takes out his rocket launcher and aims it at Bucky.

"He is a traitor." He presses the trigger and that missile immediately heads towards Bucky.

Luffy is quick to react and picks up Bucky. He then flys him to second floor of the airport. The rocket explodes once it hits a wall.

"He can fly?!" Sam says.

"You can fly!?" Bucky shouts.

Luffy only nods before looking back at the super solider. He's getting out another rocket launcher and Luffy turns to Sam and Steve.

"Get everyone out." He shouts to them.

They nod and start to go to civilians to help them get out of the air port.

The man aims his weapon at Luffy. "I don't know what you are, but I will kill you."

He pulls the trigger and once the rocket comes towards luffy he just looks at it with challenge in his eyes.

"Luffy move!" Bucky shouts.

But he doesn't. It hits him and an explosion rings out. Smoke fills the air and the Hydra soldier smirks. “So long straw hat."

Once the smoke clears his eyes are wide. Luffy is still in the air. Not a scratch on him.

"That doesn't work!" Luffy shouts.

He then flys towards the Hydra agent, rage in his eyes and clenching his fist.

"GOMU-GOMU NO!"

"I never thought I be happy to hear him say that now." Bucky mumbles.

Luffy then stretches his arm at a fast speed and once it hits the soldier, his body becomes nearly numb, his insides feel like they might burst from that punch.

Another punch and another punch come at him. They're fast and almost never ending.

"KONG GATLING!"

They keep going and they're the most painful thing ever.

Bucky stares in amazement at what he sees. "Cool." He says.

Steve, Sam and some bystanders also stare in shock.

"How strong is he?" Bucky mumbles as he watches Luffy keep punching that asshole into oblivion.

Bucky keeps watching as Luffy keeps punching the agent.

The man starts to go backwards due to the force of those punches until he hits the wall with a loud crash.

Luffy pulls his arms back and pants. He hops on the ground and looks at the dust that's in the air from the hole being made.

"That should do it." Luffy says in a rough voice. Meanwhile Bucky stares and tries to figure out what the hell just happened. "God my day is getting weirder and..oh fuck." Bucky stares at the hole and hears footsteps. The soldier comes out and gives a pissed off look towards luffy.

"How the hell he is alive!?" Bucky shouts.

The hydra agent growls. "It going to take a lot more than that, kid." He says.

Luffy scowls before shooting his fist at him. The hydra agent smirks before sticking out his hand and grabbing Luffy's arm as soon it gets close to him.

"Hey!" Luffy shouts and the agent pulls Luffy close to him. When Luffy is close enough he gets a hard punch to the face, he's then kicked in the gut. The kick itself doesn't hurt, but it sends him flying towards the celling. He crashes through it and goes outside.

"Fuck." Bucky says.

The hydra agent then notices Bucky again and jumps up high and lands on the same floor Bucky is on. The shorter man gulps before trying to throw a punch.

His wrist is caught and he gets a brutal blow to the face. His nose starts to bleed and a front tooth is so loose that Bucky has to spit it out. The hydra agent laughs and picks Bucky up by his wrist. "Let's see how many of your bones I can break before you beg me to stop."

Bucky coughs up some more blood and prepare himself for the worst.

"Let's start with your arm-"

"GOMU-GOMU NO!"

A voice shouts so loud and the hydra agent drops Bucky from being startled. "You have got to be kidding me!" He grits. Something crashes in through the ceiling to get inside. Bucky is nearly speechless from what he sees. Luffy is now over them and his arm is ten times bigger now. “Kid. Do you have any idea what organization you are messing with? We have a lot big names who will come after you." The hydra agent says.

Luffy stares him in the eye before saying "I don't care."

He then shoots his fist down, right towards the man. A huge crash happens and the man goes down with Luffy's fist crushing him.

"OVER KONG GUN!"

Once Luffy crushes the man to the first floor, a hole forms and Bucky gives a shaky breath as he looks at the big hole in front of him. He goes over to it and stares down. On the first floor he see the other giant hole that's Luffy's fist made. Bucky gets up and quickly takes the stairs to the first floor.

Once he's there, he hears Steve.

"Bucky!" Steve and Sam rush over to him. "Are you okay?" Steve ask and Bucky nods.

"I'm fine." He says, but he has a bit of lisp from his tooth missing. "You're going to need some dental work, buddy." Sam says and Bucky grins a little. "It's not the worst." Bucky then goes to the hole and looks down in it. Since he’s closer to it, he sees the hydra agent completely unconscious, bloody and bruised. Both of his arms and hands look broken. His body is twitching a little and he gives a dry cough witch causes blood to spill out of his mouth.

"He's still alive." Bucky mumbles. "How fucking strong did they make the serum?"

Bucky then looks up and sees Luffy still in the air. "Luffy! We gotta get out here now." Luffy is about to say something, but he gets cut off from giving a cough. He gives an another cough and air starts to come out of him. He uncontrollably flys around. "Is he.. deflating?" Steve questions.

Luffy keeps deflating until he falls to the ground. Bucky, Steve and Sam rush over to him. When they get near him, they see he's smaller now. "The hell?" Sam questions.

Luffy pants and sits up. He then grins. "I won!" He shouts.

"Kid, you do realize you're the size of 6 year old, right?"

"And you're missing a tooth." Bucky says. "Hm? Oh yeah, that guy's punch was really strong." Luffy than grins again. "But it's not the worst." Once he said that Bucky can't help, but smile. Showing the gap in his teeth. "Yeah. It's not." He agrees.

Luffy then looks at himself. "Damn it. This hasn’t happened in a while, but I should be back to normal in few minutes."

"Luffy what was that form?"

"It's called 4th gear. I have three versions of it. Bounce man, Snake man and Tank man..they're good in combat, but it's takes a bit of my engery away." Luffy then starts to grow back to his size. He sighs in relief before laying down.

"Hey, can you get us more chilli dogs before we go?”

Bucky rolls before picking him up and getting him over his shoulder. "No time." He says. They need to go before shield arrives.

——

Later Bucky, Luffy, Steve and Sam are on the jet. They left in the nick of time.

Bucky and Luffy are sitting next to each other while Steve and Sam sit across from them. Both are eating packed sandwiches that was stored in the mini fridge of the jet.

Both are eating a bit fast and Sam stares at them. "It's like he's the brother Bucky never knew he had." Sam whispers to Steve and he nods. "Hey buck, do you two even have a plan?"

"We..um..-"

"Kick the shit out of our enemies!" Luffy says and Bucky huffs. "That's not a plan." Luffy laughs. "So far, it's worked." Luffy says while he gets up and goes to the mini fridge. He opens it and digs through it until he gasp in excitement. "Oi, Bucky! I found just what we need!" Luffy takes two mini cartons of milk.  "And why do we need that?" Bucky ask with his mouth a little full.

"To get our teeth back." Luffy says simply.

"Luffy, we lost our adult teeth. They’re not coming back."

"Not with that negative attitude." Luffy says while he goes over to him. "We can get them back in a few seconds." Bucky snorts. "And how?" Luffy grins. "All I have to do is believe they'll grow back. Like imagine it."

"Do you hear yourself right now?" Bucky says.

"It worked for me and one of my crewmates. Just drink it." Luffy shoves the milk carton in his hand and Bucky huffs in annoyance. "If it worked for you before then you must have some crazy imagination." Bucky says.

Luffy and Bucky open the carton and start to drink from them. Bucky finishes his carton before Luffy. Luffy gives a satisfied sigh once his is finished.

"Well kid, Like I said, it didn't work."

While he said that he doesn't notice that his tooth starts to grow back. "I can't believe I even humored this nonsense." Bucky says and then he notices Sam and Steve looking at him like he's grown a second head.

"What? What are you two looking at?"

"Go..go look in the mirror in the restroom." Sam says and Bucky gives him a look of question before going to the bathroom. He goes in there and closes the door.

In a few seconds everyone can hear him say.

"What the fuck?"

Bucky then rushes out the bathroom and goes over to Luffy. "How did that-"

"Like I said. I imagined it." Luffy says with a grin and Bucky notices Luffy's tooth is back as well.

Chapter Text

Bucky is still looking in the mirror amazed and at his tooth being back instantly. It's not lose or damaged.

"What the actual hell." Bucky mumbles.

Bucky goes back to the main room on the jet and looks to Luffy who is eating probably the last sandwich from the fridge. "Seriously how the hell did you do that?" Luffy pauses and shrugs. "I told you, I just imagined it."

"That littlarly impossible." Bucky says and Luffy grins. "Almost nothing is impossible for me."

Sam then leans close to Bucky and whispers. "I think you made friends with a looney tune character."

"I'm starting to realize that." Bucky says.

Luffy groans with boredom and says "Are we there yet?”

His AI then speaks. "Our current destination is Zürich, Switzerland." Luffy immediately perks and says "We're here!"

Bucky nods and goes to the auto pilot system in jet. The digital map shows they're right over the country. He then presses a certain button for the plane to start landing.

Once they land, Luffy and Bucky are walking out the plane. They immediately feel a chill in the air. "It's cold." Luffy says with a shiver.

"It's colder in October here than it is in New York." Bucky says and turns around to look back at Steve and Sam who are in the doorway of the jet. "I'll see you guys..whenever I get back."

Steve looks a bit concerned and says "Are you sure you don't need back up?"

Bucky looks to Luffy who is keeping himself amused by stretching his fingers, he then looks back at Steve and Sam. "Nah. I think I have enough back up."

Both of them nod and start to go back in the plane. "I get your room if you die." Sam says jokingly and Steve hits him on the shoulder. Luffy and Bucky wave them goodbye before they start to walk away. The breeze blows in their hair and Bucky looks around the city. it's pretty busy, but luckily he remembers the area. He's been here on a few missions.

Bucky keeps walking and stops once he finds an atm. He goes over to it and starts to take out his credit cards.

"What are you doing?" Luffy ask.

"Getting us some money." Bucky says. While he tries to work the ATM, luffy looks around and spots something that immediately gets his attention. It's a restaurant. The sign is in some langue he can't read.

"Ame. What does that say?" He ask and his AI answers."

"That is a restaurant called Walliser Kanne. It's a traditional fondue restaurant."

Luffy immediately gets excited. "Fondue! I love fondue! Oi, Bucky! Let's go there!"

"You ate like ten sandwiches on the plane. You can wait, plus I still need to transfer some money." Bucky says and curses when he messes up putting in his debit card pass. Luffy groans and stomps his feet childishly. He thinks a little and says "If I help you get the money, then can we stop there?”

Bucky rolls his eyes. "Sure." He says sarcastically and Luffy grins.

"Then move for a second."

"Huh?" Bucky says and Luffy gets in front of him. Bucky backs up a bit and wonders what the boy is about to do. Luffy throws his leg back and covers it in haki. He then stretches it out and Kicks the machine.

"Luffy!" Bucky shouts.

The machine is now severely damaged and money starts flying out of it. "There." Luffy says and Bucky face palms.

"You lunatic. You just committed a crime." Bucky then quickly bends down and starts stuffing money in his pockets and Luffy chuckles. "I see you have no problem with it though."

"Shut up." Bucky mutters while he gathers as much money as he can. After that he quickly grabs Luffy's hand so they can get out of the area.

"We'll get something to eat. But we need clothes, something warmer."

Bucky starts to walk and Luffy follows him, Bucky stops once he finds the nearest clothing store. He goes inside and Luffy quickly follows him. Luffy stares in awe at all the different clothing options and chuckles. "So many fluffy sweaters." He goes to one rack and starts to look through it, Bucky just goes to the first black clothing sets he sees.

"Pick one thing so we can go." Bucky says while he takes a black turtle neck off the rack. He takes off his shirt and a few shoppers stare in awe at his muscular body.

Bucky blushes once he notices the staring. "Can you people mind your own business?"

They probably don't understand him since he's speaking English, but they go back to their own business and walk away. Bucky huffs and puts on the turtle neck. He turns to Luffy who is putting on a red and white strip sweater. "Ready?" Bucky ask.

Luffy nods and they go the cashier. Bucky speaks German once the cashier sees them.

"Wir nehmen die Pullover." He says and puts crumbled up bills on the counter. The cashier only nods and takes the money.

The two boys walk out and luffy immediately goes in the direction of the restaurant he saw. "Luffy for godsakes will you-"

Luffy's arm stretches his over to him and grabs his shoulder. Bucky immediately panics. "Wait-" But it's too late. He gets fastly pulled forward to where Luffy is going.

"If we get there you can't go in guns a blazing...or in your case, fist a blazing."

Luffy stops eating for a moment to look at Bucky and says "Huh?" He has cheese fondue on his chin and some near his lip.

"I said as soon as we find the base, you can't do your normal crazy antics. We need to do what we need to do efficiently and get the hell out." Bucky says while he dips a mushroom into the cheese and then eats it.

Luffy pouts a little. "Okay Mr.No fun." He mumbles. "What are we going to do?"

"Find whatever self destruct system they have and activate it. Hydra always has one just in case they need to destroy evidence."

"What are we going to do about that Rumlow guy?"

"We'll cross that bridge if we get to it. But for now we're just going to blow the place up and then we gotta head back." Luffy nods and dips a piece of steak into the cheese.

"We just gotta find out where it is." Bucky mumbles and Luffy is about to eat more until his AI speaks. "Luffy." She says and Luffy pays attention. "Yeah?”

"I just did a scan of the area to help you and Mr.Barnes with your task. Look to the table in the far right corner.” Luffy does and he sees a bearded and bald man. He has round glasses, he's wearing a grey suit with a black tie.

"Who's that?" Luffy ask.

"He is one of the head scientists for Hydra. He is wanted 6 different countries for illegal Experimentation. His name is Norman Kotch."

"What were the experiments?"

Luffy's AI gives him a full article on the man. Luffy reads it and his eyes get wide. He's horrified. This man has done experiments on small children which made them brain dead, performed surgeries on victims while they were still conscious, shot experiments subjects dead for being failures and sent people to toxic gas chambers. He even beat one child to death and made his mother watch.

"Ame. He knows where the base is right?" Luffy ask while he watches the man get up and go to the restroom

"I believe so."

Luffy stands up out of his chair and starts to walk away from the table. "I'll be right back." Luffy says and Bucky watches him go, wondering why the boy looks so serious.

Luffy gets inside the restroom and leans against the wall. He waits and hears a toilet flush. The boy then hears some whistling and a stall door opens. He sees the man stepping out and going over to the sink.

Luffy stares at him while he washes his hands and says "Oi." The man looks to him.

"I'm going to try and make this quick. Where's Hydra?"

The man looks at Luffy with question and gives an unimpressed look. "Sorry young man, but I don't know what you're taking about."

"You sure?" Luffy ask and the man scoffs.

"Yes I'm sure, now leave me alone."

Luffy sighs and says "Unfortunately for you this won't be quick anymore."

"What?" The man says and Luffy stretches his arm over to him. "What the-" Luffy's hand grabs him and pulls him into a stall. Luffy shuts the door before giving the scientist a punch to the nose.

"Where’s hydra?" He ask with a serious tone of voice.

"You not job! I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Wrong answer." Luffy says and punches him again. The man's nose starts bleeding and he screams in agony. Luffy is about to question him again, but he hears the stall door open.

"Luffy what the hell are you doing?"

Luffy turns around and sees Bucky giving him annoyed look. "For once can you think before you start throwing punches?”

Bucky then looks at the man with some panic. "Sir, I'm so sorry about this. Name your price to not press charges and we'll be going."

"But he works for Hydra." Luffy says. "His name is..what was it?..oh! Norma crotch." The man glares at Luffy and snaps at him.

"That's Norman Kotch you moron!" The man then looks to Bucky and smirks.

"My. You haven't age one bit. Last time I saw you we had some fun. Tell me, how are your scars from that cattle prod doing?”

Bucky looks at him more and slowly starts to recognize him. Norman Kotch. This bastard tortured Bucky for 6 hours straight with a cattle prod and told Bucky it was to test his endurance.

"Now this one right here." Kotch says while looking to Luffy. "This stupid brat here would look lovely on my medical table. Don't you think?"

Bucky does say anything. His mind just keeps going back to what this man did to him for 6 hours straight. How he laughed at his pain and mocked him for crying from it.

He grabs the man’s shirt and bangs his head on the toilet 3 times. It's brutal and blood gets on the floor. Bucky then throws the unconscious man to the floor.

He gives a heavy breath.

"Hey Bucky." Luffy says.

"What?" Bucky says while he looks at the human scum he just beat the shit out of.

"You committed a crime." Luffy says with a grin and Bucky huffs.

"Shut up." He mumbles.

Chapter Text

Luffy looks around while peaks out the bathroom.

"Come on let's go." He whispers. Luffy opens the door and Bucky walks out of it while holding the unconscious scientist on his shoulder.

They walk towards the exit and of course they get strange looks. A waiter goes over to them and ask the two what they're doing. Bucky keeps his cool and calmly explains in German that the man on his shoulder is his father and he slipped. So they're going to take him to the hospital.

The waiter nods and offers his assistance, but Bucky politely declines. They get out the restaurant and as soon they do, Bucky searches his pockets.

"What are you looking for?" Luffy asks. "Car keys." Bucky says and just like expects Bucky finds them. He presses a button to it and the lights to a near by Mercedes Benz flicker.

"Come on let's go." He says and Luffy follows him. They get to the car and Bucky gets the doors unlocked. He's not so gentle when he throws the hydra scientist in the back.

Bucky and Luffy get in the front and start to drive. While bucky drives the man groans in pain and slowly opens his eyes. It takes a few minutes for him to realize where he is, but as soon he sees Bucky and Luffy, he panics.

"Shit!" He says and tries to get out the car, but it's locked. "You two let me go or you will face major consequences. You think my superiors won't hunt you two brats down-"

He's cut off from a hard punch to the face. Delivered by Luffy. “We don't care about your stupid bosses. Just tell where Hydra is."

The man curses while he holds his bleeding nose. "I'm not talking." He then looks at Bucky through the mirror. "I should have destroyed you when I had the chance. You're nothing but an abomination, a mistake that was made. I told them we should have just destroyed you, but they didn't listen. When Hydra takes over, I'll make sure you are the first one to perish! You vermin!"

"I suggest you stop and just tell us where the hydra base is." Bucky says calmly and the man gives a mocking laugh. "Or what? You're going to start crying like you did in my examination table?" He gives a malicious smile.

"Remember the time I beat you with a crop while you were naked? You were a beautiful sight, bleeding and begging-"

"Pull over the car." Luffy says. His eyes are glowing red and his hair is starting to stand up and turn wispy.

Bucky gladly does so. They go to a near by alley and Bucky parks the car. Once it stops, Luffy and Bucky immediately get out the car. Luffy is the first to pull the back door open.

He reaches inside and grabs the now terrified man. Luffy breaks his cheek bone with a hard blow to the face.

The man screams and Bucky gives him the hardest kick to the leg ever. There's a crack and it breaks.

"You guys won't ever take over." Bucky says threateningly while Luffy throws the man to the floor. "Now here's what's going to happen. You're going to tell us where that base is."

"And if you don't. Every bone in your body is going to be shattered." Luffy says while his eyes get bright red and due to his powers being able to effect others, Bucky's eyes also get red while he doesn't notice.

The man looks horrified now. It's like he's looking at two demons.

"So what's it going to be?" Bucky ask, eerily calm. The man gulps and nods. "I-I'll tell you."

"Good." Luffy says and picks him off the floor. He gets forced back in the car and soon the car is moving again. Bucky's eyes go back to normal. Luffy's hair goes back to its original state and so does his eyes.

They get to the base in three hours. They don't park near it, but at least almost one mile away from it.

Luffy and Bucky are standing outside the car, looking at the huge, grey building in the distance. "Remember, we get in and get out." Bucky says to Luffy.

Luffy nods and looks back in the car. "What about him?" Luffy ask and Bucky opens the car door to drag the doctor out. "You got a key card we can use to get in?”

"Y-Yes, my wallet."

Luffy stretches his arms over to the man's pocket and takes out a wallet. He digs through it before pulling out an identification card with a picture. "This it?" Luffy ask and the man nods before looking nervous. "C-Can I go?”

Bucky gives a fake smile before plainly saying "no. I’m going need you to tell me some codes just in case.” Bucky says before he roughly starts to drag the man.

"Let's go." Bucky says and Luffy nods while following him. "So how are we going to get in?" Luffy ask and Bucky sighs. "I have an idea, but I really don't like it."

Soon the three men are at the front entrance where there are two guards.  They recognize Norman, but not the other two men.

They raises their guns a little and the hydra agent raises his hand calmly. "It's fine. He's with me. Do you gentlemen remember the winter soldier?" The two guards look at Bucky more and start to recognize him.

"Holy shit." The guard says. "You actually got him? How?"

"Lucky for me his programming still works. I would like to take him inside and report that our best asset is under our control again."

The man nods before looking at Luffy. "And who's that?"

"A new recruit for our project. We need super soliders with powers." The guards look interested before asking "What powers does he have?"

"Elasticity. Simple, but very effective. Show them." He says to Luffy and Luffy nods before grabbing his own cheek and pulling it. The two guards look in awe as the skin easily stretches.

"With the serum, he'll be unstoppable. Now if you let us in we'll be on our way."

The guards nod and one of them is about to go to a key pad near the door, but stops and turns around to look at the doctor. He raises his brow before asking "What happened to your face?" He’s talking about the fresh bruises that's on the man's face.

Everyone pauses and it gets tense.

Under the tense silence the doctor finally breaks and panics.

"They kidnapped me and forced me to do this! Shoot them!" He shouts. The guards are really surprised and before they could do anything, Luffy speaks.

"You hydra assholes are annoying."

With that Luffy starts to use his conquerors haki. The two guards and scientists start to feel weak, they then fall to the ground completely unconscious. Bucky stares in shock and looks to Luffy

"H-Holy shit. What happened?”

"I used haki." Luffy simply says and Bucky has so many questions running to his head. "You used what?"

"Haki..it's a bit hard to explain, it's a type of power. Everyone has it. You just have to awaken it."

Bucky looks at the fallen men before back at Luffy. Luffy has got be the goofiest, but coolest person he's met. Since Luffy said everyone has this Haki, he starts to wonder if maybe he can have it.

"Bucky we should probably get going."

Bucky snaps out of his thoughts and nods. "Right." He says and gets to the door. Bucky goes near the key pad and tries to remember the Security code the Hydra scientist told him.

"Luffy do you remember what the code was?"

Luffy only shrugs and Bucky tries a few numbers, but the light to the key pad turns, red, meaning he's denied access. "Damn it, come on." Bucky mumbles and tries a different code. But again, he's denied access.

Bucky tries one more time and this time when he gets it wrong, a loud security alarm goes off. "Shit." Bucky says. “We got to get in before more security comes."

"Have you tried typing meat?" Luffy ask and Bucky is baffled. "Why the hell would the code for door be meat?"

"Well it doesn't hurt to try." Luffy says and presses some buttons on the key pad to spell out the word 'meat.'

The Alarm gets louder after that and Bucky gives a look of an annoyance. Luffy is really cool, but again, he's also the goofiest person alive.

"Wow, anymore bright ideas?" Bucky ask sarcastically and he immediately gets worried when he sees Luffy actually thinking.

"No wait-" Bucky says, but it's too late.

Luffy activates his haki before running away a few feet. Once he's at a good distance he starts to run towards the door while giving a battle cry. He runs towards the door with his fist forward and once's he’s close to it, he's gives it a hard punch. Bucky's mouth gets wide when he sees the steel door fly of it’s hinges.

"For fuck sakes, Luffy were supposed to get in quietly." Bucky says

"Well getting in quietly takes too long." Luffy says while he goes inside the building and Bucky does also. When they get in they start to quickly run down a grey and dimmed light hallway. While they run they hear something. The sound of heavy foot steps.

"Damn it." Bucky says, already knowing what that is. Soon they see armed men running towards them, guns ready to shoot. They see Bucky and Luffy immediately start to fire.

Bucky gasp in a bit of a panic, but is relived when Luffy takes a deep breath and inflates himself. The bullets hit his ballooned body and bounce off him.

They hit some of the hydra soldiers and they fall to the ground with bleeding gun shot wounds. They're are still more coming so luffy hardens his arms and starts to throw rapid punches.

"Gomu-Gomu no! Hawk Gatling!"

His arms stretch to the soldiers and each get painful punches to the face, chest, neck and head. They scream in pain as those fist keep hitting them, teeth even start to get knocked out. Soon all of the soldier are knocked out.  Bucky and Luffy run past the knocked out men and take a left.

"I hope you know that this is about to get lot a harder." Bucky says to him.

Luffy snickers. "That's okay, I love a good challenge."

"Well I'm too tired for a challenge." Bucky says. While they keep going, they don't seem to notice the security camera watching them.

——

In another room where the security Monitors are, a man is watching Bucky and Luffy on the screens. He smirks once he sees Bucky.

The asset finally came back to them.  And  the best part is that his little friend will be perfect to use as Hydra’s weapon.

"You two are mine." The person says with a nasty grin before getting out a walkie-talkie. He turns it on and speaks into it.

"This Rumlow, we have two intruders on the base floor. Do not send anymore troops."

"Then how are we supposed to capture them?” A Hydra worker on the other end ask. Rumlow gives another grin as he gets an idea. "Send in soldier 56. It'll take care of the kid. I'll take care of Barnes."

He's going to enjoy teaching the asset a lesson.

"But sir, soldier 56 is still..unstable." Rumlow growls in annoyance before speaking in the walkie again. "I don't care, just do it." He grits.

Rumlow goes back to looking at the screen. He looks at the straw hat boy and smirks.

"You must be Monkey D. luffy. I finally get to meet you."

Chapter Text

Luffy and Bucky are going down the hallway, ready to find the main lab so they can activate the self destruct sercuity system.

They just knocked out more guards that are now the floor and they run a bit more. They finally get to the end of the hall where they see the main door where it leads to the rest of the building. They both get near it and Bucky is about to tell Luffy to force it open until something unexpected happens.

The door opens.

Bucky and Luffy look really confused at first, but once its fully open they're eyes get wide at what they see. In the door are two men.

One has black slick back here, black jeans, a bullet proof vest with a cross bones on it. He's not so shocking to see, but the other is a very huge, man. Very huge. He's bulking with muscle. He has long, blonde hair and sharp grey eyes.

His teeth are sharp, his nails are nearly claws. The man or creature grins and lets out a snarl.

"The hell?” Bucky mumbles.

The one with the cross bone vest looks to Luffy and gives a slight chuckle. “So you're Monkey D. Luffy."

Luffy nods and crosses his arms. "And who are you?”

"Brock Rumlow. I'm not going to lie, I thought you be a little taller."

"I thought you would look more intimidating." Luffy says back and Bucky snorts at that a little. Rumlow glares at Luffy.

"I have to say, you got some god damn balls threating us. Not only do we kill people who oppose us, but go after everyone they care about."

"Well good thing the people I care about aren't here." Luffy says and Rumlow glares. He then looks to Bucky. "Assest." he says and Bucky gives him a look of pure hatred for being called that.

"I didn't expect you to have some...plucky teenager fight your battles for you."

Bucky only flips him off as a response and looks to the man near Rumlow. "Who's your friend?" Rumlow puts a hand on the bigger man him. "Glad you ask. Meet soldier, 56. During the second world war we had Victor Creed under control for a short time. Before he escaped we got a DNA sample, made his clone and pumped him up with the serum."

Bucky's eyes get wide. He knows who Victor Creed is. He's one of the most vicious and bloody thristy maniacs he's ever heard about. Bad enough they made a clone of a highly dangerous mutant,, but its tens times worst they gave that clone the serum.

"Now lets get this show on the road, shall we?" Rumlow snaps his fingers and the clone moves instantly.

Before Bucky or Luffy could react, Luffy is grabbed at the neck by the man beast and is thrown into the wall. A hole is now there that leads to the other room.

The clone snickers with a growl and goes after Luffy.

"Luffy!" Bucky says and tries to go to help him, but Brock quickly goes over to him and punches him in the face.

"Come on asset, you and me. For old times sake." Bucky curses in frustration and tries to hit the other man, but Rumlow ducks and delivers another blow.

Bucky hisss, but grabs Runlow's hand with his metal arm. He flips rumlow over and slams him into the floor. He then gives a hard kick to his jaw before getting ontop of him and punching him repeatedly in the face.

Brock shouts in pain before punching Bucky in the gut and then flips them over. He gives a Bucky a punch to the throat, making him nearly lose his breath. His hands then grabs onto Bucky's throat.

Bucky struggles and kicks. Rumlow laughs as he squeezes more at Bucky's throat. "After I kill you, we'll take care of your little friend. He'll be a good soldier for us."

"N-No." Bucky chokes out and he can feel himself losing consciousness.

Rumlow gives a nasty smile and is about to squeeze harder until he hears a roar. His grip loosens a bit on bucky from being distracted.

Another loud roar is heard and then something crashes into the room.

"What the-"

Rumlow is cut off from Bucky knocking him off with his metal arm. Bucky pants and gets up. He looks to the thing that crashed and sees its the clone. It growls in anger as it rubs it's head.

Bucky then looks to the hole in the wall and sees someone stepping out from it and Bucky's eyes get huge from what he sees. "Luffy?"

Luffy steps in the hall and he looks way different now. His clothes are white, his hair is also white and curly now. He has curly white eye brows and light red eyes. For some reason there's smoke around him.

"Luffy?" bucky says and Luffy grins. "This guy is strong." He says while pointing at Victor's clone and grins even more. "But I'm stronger." He laughs and takes a deep breath. He then grunts while making inflated muscles appear on his body.

"Muscle, Muscle, Muscle!"

Luffy does a silly laugh before quickly going over to the clone.

He gives him about two punches to the face while making a butch of silly noises and spins hid arm around before giving the final punch. The clone goes through the wall.

Luffy laughs while bucky only stares in shock. Meanwhile rumlow growls in anger. "What the hell is this?"

Luffy stops laughing to look at Rumlow. He grins again before saying

"5th Gear."

He then looks over to bucky. "Oi, I'll take care of clone guy, handle Rumlow."

Bucky nods making Luffy smile. He then gets into a runner's position and starts to move his feet in place. He makes engines noises while doing so. Bucky is then amazed when he sees the ground easily move under luffy's feet. It looks soft and..rubbery.

Luffy keeps running in place before dashing off through the hole with a laugh. Bucky is nearly speechless.

"He's a literal cartoon character." Bucky says and then grins.

"Awesome."

Suddenly Rumlow speaks. "You better fucking tell me what the hell brat is." He snarls and Bucky grins even more. With new found confidence he runs over to Rumlow and gives him a brutal kick to the stomach. Rumlow chokes and gasp.

"He's the future king of the pirates." Bucky says.

Bucky starts to feel a weird, but exhilarating energy. He can feel Luffy's presence starting to take effect for some reason.

"He's future king of the pirates and the most goofiest pirate ever." Bucky sends Rumlow skidding and rolling scross the floor from that kick. He hits the wall hard, making him shot in pain.

Bucky watches rumlow struggle to get up while giving a sinister smile. Bucky’s eyes turn light red for a quick few seconds.

The clone crashes into a different room, its a training room with different equipment. Weights, weapons and machines.

The clone gets up with a growl.

"Oi! Clone guy! Where are you!" Luffy says with a laugh. "Lets fight some more!"

The hydra soldier snarls while getting up and once he sees Luffy step into the room with a smile on his face he immediately attacks.

He tries to punch the boy in the face, but Luffy just streches his neck up and down to avoid the blows, all while making silly expressions. The Man roars before deciding to grab luffy's neck. Once he's does he throws Luffy into a set of weights. In the pile of weights Luffy is practically seeing stars.

But he snaps out of his gaze once he sees the wild man coming for him. Luffy grabs a dumbelle and uses his powers to turn it into rubber. He stretches it, making it longer, once its long enough, Luffy bends the end of it backwards.

Once the man gets close enough Luffy releases it. The metel hits the man in face. He roars in agony while Luffy goes into a fit of giggles.

The man goes after him and tries punching him again, but Luffy only dodges each time and the Man only hits the floor with his fist each time. Holes get in the floor because of it and Luffy starts to go up the wall.

The clone uses his claw like finger nails to climb up after him. He tries to strike Luffy but only hits the wall each time when Luffy dodges while laughing.

The victor clone is infuriated right now. Most of his opponents have been scared shitless of him, but this littlt punk is not taking him seriously at all.

The ceiling explodes and burst open from more brutal impacts and Luffy is on the upper level. It’s a cafeteria.

Luffy laughs while going into the air and landing with a bounce. The clone gets into room and grabs one of the long cafeteria tables. He swing it at Luffy and it does hit him.

The force has Luffy crashing into some double doors that lead to the kitchen. There's a loud sound that sound like plates falling and breaking. The solider smirks and throws the long table to the side.

He starts to go to the double doors and when he gets closer, the doors burst open and a stretched out arm with a skillet in the hand comes out.

The skillet hits the clone in the face and because Luffy covered it haki, it hurt like hell.

Luffy walks out the kitchen, eating a donut and pulls back his arm. He burst out laughing when he sees an indent of the man's angry face on the Skillet.

He throws it to the side with a smirk. For the next 10 minutes, Hydra is going to be his playground.  Luffy's eyes glow bright red and his powers surges through out the building, making the environment how he wants it.

Back on the floor where bucky and rumlow are on, they're both exchanging blows to each other, Bucky is able to dodge most of them, but Rumlow kicks his leg hard, making Bucky lose balance and land on the floor.

Rumlow raises his boot and brings it down towards Bucky’s head, but he rolls away quickly. He then grabs Rumlow's leg and He slams him down to the ground and punches his stomach.

Bucky punches him hard and something unusual starts to happen. Runlow's stomach keeps sinking in and so does the floor under him.

"W-What the hell!?" Rumlow chokes out.

Bucky finds this strange too, but he uses this to his advantage. He keeps sinking Rumlow into the rubbery floor, the manic grin Bucky gives chills Rumlow to his core.

Bucky's eyes turn red and he laughs before finally finishing the punch.

The floor explodes opens and Rumlow goes straight down. He curses and hisses in pain when he lands on the floor of the basement level.

Back up Bucky grins even more and jumps down into the hole. When he lands, the floor is rubber and he bounces in the air a bit.

He's in awe and then goes into a small fit of laughter as he keeps bouncing.

Rumlow sits up and spits out some blood. He looks over to Bucky who is still bouncing and giving Runlow a crazed smile.

"The hell is wrong with you?" Rumlow ask and Bucky smirks.

"Nothing. I'm just..free."

Chapter Text

Outside the lab.

The near the perimeter of the lab there are soldiers and shield agents, all armed with weapons just in case.

Nick fury is standing with a team and with him is Steve and Tony stark. Nick gives Steve a look that's clearly shows he's a little irritated. "Rogers." He says. "The next time your childhood friend wants to go on a trip to fight the biggest terrorist group in the country, you think you can let me know?"

Steve sighs. "If I can remember sure." He says with some sarcasm.

Fury then looks to Tony. "Stark, any idea what this is?"

All of them stare at the building that's surrounded by some kind of red, energy, force field. Bolts of that energy shoot in the sky and it causes the sky to split.

It makes the ground shake, crack and burst open. People stare in shock at what's going on. Tony observes what's going on, but he shrugs a little. "This might be more of Dr. Strange’s area. It looks.. spiritual."

"Why do you say that?" Fury ask.

"Because 7 men just collapsed." Tony says and fury notices how some of the agents are on the ground, unconscious.  Suddenly 3 more fall to the ground. Tony whistles. "Tough luck, Fury you might have to give worker's comp."

"Why is this not effecting us?" Fury ask and Steve answers this time, but he's not sure if he's right. "Maybe..we're just stronger to handle this."

Back inside the building Luffy's conquerors haki is going off the rails. His powers is making everything he wants it to be. Everything is rubber and he's laughing so much as he's bouncing off rubber walls to avoid the clone's attacks. The man is completely feral at this point.

Luffy avoids another one of his punches, right now they're in a hallway.  The ground is rubber under Luffy's feet as he as he runs. "That's right follow me!" He says with a laugh.

The man finally gets close to Luffy and Luffy shouts from being startled before getting a punch. It sends him down hallway with a goofy shout. He lands into a closed elevator, but instead of crashing through it, he sinks into it from it turning into rubber.  He sinks really deep and shoots out from it, going full speed at the clone.

Thd man stares in disbelief before he's hit hard in the gut when luffy collides into him.  He goes down hall and hits a hall.  He grunts in pain and before he could he even stand straight, two hands grab his ankles. He looks down the hallway and sees that Luffy has his arms stretched out out. Luffy gives a menacing grin before practically dragging the clone down the hallway.

He's then thrown towards thd elevator. The doors burst open. He growls and notices the elevator starts to shake. He quickly gets out of it and watches the elevator fall down the shaft..

He’s about to sigh in relief until he hears luffy shout.

“Gomu-Gomu no bazooka!” The boy’s body collides with him again at a fast speed and both of them go falling down the elevator shaft.

The man looks in horror as he sees Luffy falling above him, a manic grin is on his face. This kid is fucking nuts.

“Gomu-Gomu no! Firework!”

He makes both of his arms stretched around in different directions. They ricochet off the now rubber walls. The clone looks in pure confusion and fear when he sees those arms move more chaotically and they get fast, too fast.

The speed of those arms move almost start to move at the speed of light.

There’s no way to dodge this.

They finally start to strike him. The blows hit everywhere, his organs feel like they might rupture from the force and speed. His body starts too feel hot and his skin starts to tear a bit. The fist get hotter as they move faster. Some teeth fly out when they hit his face. His ears are starting to ring and he can barely breathe.

Soon the clone’s eyes close and he lose consciousness.

Both of them soon crash land on the basement level floor.

Bucky is startled when he hears a loud crash.

“Shit, luffy.” He says and is about to go find his friend, but Rumlow punches his face. He’s then grabbed by the shirt and slammed into the wall.

Rumlow rains down punches on him and Bucky curses in pain, he quickly punches Rumlow in the chest. The man curses loudly and chokes a bit when he sees his chest stretching back from Bucky’s fist.

Bucky gives a grin as he keeps stretching it from the blow. He then sends rumlow flying into a radiator.

“Fuck!” He says.

“You seem to be durable.” Bucky says. “Did you take the serum?”

“Of course. I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to be better. Unlike you, you decided to go run off with the avengers and pass on having people at your feet and fear you.”

Bucky rolls his eyes. “I don’t want people to fear me, I just want to drink and sleep at this point.”

“Well I can help you with the sleeping part.” Rumlow says and picks up the radiator. He throws it towards Bucky and Bucky is about to dodge, but gets an idea.

He snickers before grabbing the wall near him. Just as he expected it, it’s rubber. He pulls the wall and quickly goes the opposite side of the room, stretching the wall more.

The radiator hits it and stretches it back. Bucky is having a bit of hard time holding onto the other side, but soon he gets the effect he wanted.

“Uno reverse.” He says with a smirk. The radiator gets flung back towards Rumlow and it hits him. There’s a loud crash and Bucky lets go of the rubber wall to laugh.

This is the most amusing fight he’s ever had. Rumlow is in a pile of broken support beams and under it, he can hear Bucky laughing even more. He snarls in annoyance before throwing the stuff off him.

“You think is this funny?” He ask and Bucky only laughs more before answering.

“Yes!”

Unkown to him, he causes a wave of haki to happen and it starts making the floor explode.

“Damn it, what the fuck do you have to be so happy about?” Rumlow runs over to him and punches Bucky’s head, he hisses in pain and then he’s kicked in the face.

“You have no meaningful purpose. You are nothing, but a weapon, a tool, a dog. What makes think you’re worth more?” He ask while still punching Bucky.

“Do you hear me asset?” He ask and kicks Bucky hard in the gut, making him cough. “You have no purpose, but to obey and destroy.”

He grabs Bucky’s hair and throws him to the ground. Bucky lands on his knees and Rumlow is about punch him in the head, Bucky quickly grabs fist with his regular hand.

“My purpose.” Bucky says and starts to tighten his grip on Rumlow.

“My purpose..”

Bucky gets up and his grip gets tighter. So tight that rumlow’s hand feels like it starting to break. Bucky squeezes again and bone is heard breaking.

Rumlow starts to gasp in pain and tries to pull away from the other man’s grip, but Bucky’s hold is impossibly tight. The hairs on the back of Rumlow’s neck stand up when he sees Bucky’s eyes are a bright red.

He raises his metal fist, ready to strike.

“My purpose is..”

Bucky lands one of the hardest punch he’s ever dished out.

Bucky starts to remember all the good times he’s had with friends, eating amazing meals with family, going to parks to enjoy the breeze, going to Coney Island to go on rides.

Bucky punches harder and more haki comes from him. It shatters and breaks the walls and floors boards.

He remembers going to bars with Steve, fun times at the movies, playing catch with Steve in an empty lot and eating hot dogs with him while laughing at funny stories they told to each other.

“My purpose is to be happy!”

The haki from the punch completely knocks Rumlow out, but that doesn’t stop Bucky from sending him flying further down the basement once he finishes that move.

He hears the wall burst open and beams falling. He sighs in relief as his eyes stop glowing red. He pants and tries to catch his breath. He feels a little drained.

“Oi, Bucky!”

Bucky turns around and sees Luffy walking towards him. He looks tired, bruised and out of breath as well. His hair is back to its normal color and his clothes are no longer white. He gets close to Bucky and grins. “You have strong haki.”

Bucky looks a little confused. “No I don’t. Look, did you take care of your guy?”

Luffy nods and ask. “You take care of yours?”

“Yeah.”

“Cool.” Luffy says before laying on the floor, spreading his arms out. Bucky does the same and they lay out on the ground next to each other.

“That was really fun.” Luffy says with a snicker and Bucky smiles.

“Yeah, it was.”

Chapter Text

Bucky and Luffy are coming out of the hydra building and as soon as they do, guns are pointing at them and a man in body armored shouts

"Halt! stay right where you are!"

Bucky rolls his eyes and looks around until he spots Fury. "Calm down it's me." Bucky says and Fury walks over to them.

"Lower your weapons." He says and the soldiers do. He looks Bucky right in the eyes with a glare while crossing his arms. "What the hell were you thinking? You went against my orders to have the kid be transferred, helped him escape, had unauthorized use of shield transport and decided to fight Hydra without even calling for back up-"

"I did have back up." Bucky says and points to Luffy who grins. "Yep he had me."

Fury gives both of them a pissed off look and takes a deep breath. He's about to speak, but Bucky does first. "Whatever punishment you wanna give me I'll deal with it, just let Luffy stay with us until he's goes home."

Fury gives an intense stare to the man and huffs. "He's your responsibility now. Anything stupid happens involving him, I'm coming to you first."

Luffy chuckles. "Thanks eye patch. You're a tight ass, but I can tell you're a good guy."

Fury stares at Luffy with disbelief. He gaves a fake, tired laugh. "Unbelievable." He says while walking away,

Bucky sighs in relief and notices a helicopter not too far. He sees Steve and Tony near it. He starts to walk over there with Luffy following him.

"Barnes, did you and straw hat have fun on your side quest?” Tony ask

Bucky is about to give a sarcastic answer, but Luffy cuts in with excitement in his voice. "Yeah it was fun! You should have seen it, I had to fight a clone, Bucky kicked Rumlow's ass and used haki!"

Bucky huffs. "For the last time that wasn't me, wasn't it coming from you?”

"Well most of it..but some of it wasn't mine."

"I'm pretty sure it was just you." Bucky says and starts to walk towards the entrance of the helicopter, but he winces in pain and is about to fall, both Steve and Tony are quick to catch him. "You okay buck?" Steve ask.

"Yeah." He mumbles. "Just need to sit down." They both nod and start to go in the helicopter, Luffy is about to go in the helicopter himself, but looks back and sees two armed officers bringing out Rumlow and the clone in specialized handcuffs. Good they're out, now Luffy can do what he wanted to do.

He walks over to the building and stares up at it in disgust. Luffy raises up his fist. He throws it forward and activates his haki. Without even touching it, a chunk of the building explodes right off.

He's about to do it again, but Fury puts a hand on his shoulder. "Son, hold off on that for now." He says and Luffy gives a look of frustration. "Why? This place sucks."

"Yes, but we need to collect some evidence from here. It'll be hard to do that if the place is in pieces." Luffy pouts a little, but nods. He starts to walk to the helicopter, but stops once he hears Rumlow yelling at him. “Straw hat!" Luffy turns around to look at him.

"If I ever get out, first thing I need to do is get you on our side. I simply wanted to kill you after we talked on the phone. But that would be a waste, don't you think?" He ask with a nasty grin.

"Hydra will take over and when we do, you'll be our most valuable asset, probably even better than Barnes." He says with a manic grin and Luffy stares him in the eye before simply saying

"Shut up."

Luffy then uses his haki again and Rumlow finds himself falling to the floor before he's unconscious. The guards look confuse and try to get the man off the ground. Fury looks at Luffy with curiosity and walks towards the helicopter.

"That kid is more than just some damn pirate." He mumbles.

A few hours later, Luffy is back in the avengers tower, both him and Bucky are in some gauze bandages and some bandaids.

At the moment everyone is the living room, eating some take out ramen and the Transformers movie is playing the flat screen TV.

Luffy is eagerly slurping his ramen and hums in delight. He then gasp in excitement when he sees the car in the movie he's watching transform into a robot.

"That's so cool!" He says with his eyes lighting up. "I wish my ship can do something like that.” He says and turns to Reed and Tony who are on the couch, eating their own ramen.

"Can one of you build something like that?"

"Yeah." They both say at the same time and Bucky smirks while eating his ramen. He wants to start some shit. "But who would build it better?" Bucky ask. Reed and Tony pause from that question. Tony scoff. "No doubt it would be me, it would only take me a day two build an Optimus prime." He says with full confidence.

Reed only gives a side eye while he uses his chopsticks to pick up his noodles.

"It would only take me a few hours." He mumbles before eating his noodles and Tony gives him a look of disbelief. "How can you be so sure?"

"Stark may I remind you that I built a space ship once in less than 8 hours."

"Bullshit." Tony says and Reed rolls his eyes at him. They start to argue and Bucky snickers a little before slurping more of his ramen. Bruce sighs at both of them before looking at Luffy.

"Luffy, the portal is ready for you when you wanna go back home. You should be able to get back safely with no mishaps."

Luffy and gets excited. "Really? Awesome! I can't wait to tell my crew what happened." He says. "I'm going to miss you guys though."

"And we'll definitely miss you." Natasha says and Clint rolls his eyes. "Speak for yourself." He mumbles and Natasha punches his shoulder. “Ow." He says even though the punch didn't hurt. "But you stay safe kid, try not to get into too much trouble."

"Can't keep any promises." He says with a snicker and then remembers something. He puts hand towards his eye and says "It was nice meeting you Ame, you were really a helpful friend."

"I'm glad my services has been satisfactory." The AI says and Luffy takes out the contact. He stretches his arm over to Reed. "Reed, Ame was really awesome. If I ever come back, I wouldn't mind her helping me again." He says while he gives Reed the contact.

"She's really smart and knows every restaurant in the world!" Luffy says and Reed smiles. "I'll keep her stored for you if you ever come back." He says and then slaps Tony's hand away when he tries to reach for the A.I.

Luffy smiles, but then notices the frown on Bucky's face. His eyes are to the floor as he fiddles with his chopsticks a little.

"Hey what's wrong?" Luffy ask.

"Huh? Nothing."

Luffy can tell that he's lying. "You’re worse at lying than me." Luffy says and Bucky glares at him a little, but then goes back to looking at the floor.

"Can..you maybe visit?"

Luffy tilts his head a little before wrapping his arms around Bucky to hug him. "Sure!" He says with a bright smile. "But maybe you can come with me and join my crew!"

"Can't. I have too much shit to do here. But..can I be an honoree member?”

Luffy laughs and hugs him tighter. "Of course!" He then looks to Tony, "Oi, stark! Do you have any sake?"

Tony nods and gets up from the couch. He should have a few bottles of the drink.

Bucky and Luffy are sitting across from each other at the avengers table. Luffy pours himself some sake in a shot glass and then hands the bottle to Bucky.

"So what's this for?" Bucky ask while he pours the liquid in his own shot glass. "We're taking an oath." Luffy says.

"An oath?" Bucky questions and Luffy nods. He picks up his shot glass and raises it. "You will be an honorary straw hat! If I need you, I'll look for you. You'll be one of my closet allies..if that's okay with you."

Bucky lets small smile appears on his lips and raises his own shot glass. "Sure, but on one condition. You be an honorary avenger. If we ever need your help, you're the first person I'm looking for. Sound fair?”

Luffy gives an infectious laugh and nods. "Yep! To our new alliance!" He shouts.

Him and Bucky clink glasses together before downing the sake. Luffy makes a face of disgust and Bucky snorts. "You're a pirate who can't hold down your liquor?"

"It's not my fault, it taste gross!" Luffy whines and Bucky scoffs at him before grabbing the bottle of sake to take a swing from it. Luffy laughs in amusement. "Zoro would like you." He says.

They both continue to spend time together and both know they might see each other again in the future.
