Haruka Haruno died in the Valley of the End when she was struck down by her husband and best friend.
"That night, I tried to end things peacefully," Haruka spoke into her reincarnation's mind.
12 year old Sakura wondered around the valley. There was a heaviness in air, whether it be from Harkua's death, the battles that have happened here, or both Sakura wasn't sure.
"But I hadn't realized how far gone both Madara and Hashirama were."
Sakura glared at the two statues. Haruka was angry at her death, and disappointed at the two men she loved most in the world. Sakura sometimes wonders if those feelings leak into her own when she thinks about her own boys. They did both get left behind by the Uchiha they loved.
"You can be angry for the both of you," Shachi would whisper to Sakura, her voice motherly. "I get angry for all three of us at times."
Sakura jumped up onto one of the rocks that sat between the two statues. She felt an urge to turn her body, Haruka wanted her facing a certian way.
Sakura stared directly at the statue of Madara, her back facing Hashirama.
"I had gone ahead and found Madara first. He kissed me greeting believe it or not." Haruka's voice quivered with a deep sadness that both she and Shachi carried. "He wanted me to join him, I wanted him to come home. I had applied a posion to my lips that if he kissed me long enough he would have been knocked out and his chakra temporarily unusable. I was so close."
Distantly Sakura could hear two male voices screaming the same thing. Her stomach clenched at the memory.
"They both called me a traitor, right before their weapons crossed through me." Harkua's anger was back. "Ripped right through me, the tips of each weapon just out of reach of the other man. I fell into the water, my lungs filling up with a mixture of water and blood. Last thing I ever saw was them acting like we were ten again and littering each other with wounds."
Sakura followed the urge to go behind the waterfall. A small cave greeted her. It was the type that if you weren't looking for it or knew about it you would miss it.
Sitting in the middle of it was a hydrangea bush, flanking the sides are red spider lillies, a stone sitting in the center. Decently sized, and it looked like it came from thd bottom of the lake. On the stone was her clan's symbol.
"At least they followed that tradition," Haruka huffed as Sakura traced the symbol.
The Haruno's believed that life and death was a natural, continuous cycle. When their bodies go they plant something over the ashes and use a stone they find as a marker. Sakura was surprised the plants have flourished so well in the cave. Then again sensing the chakra in the plants she probably shouldn't be surprised.
Sakura studied the flowers red spider lillies were for final goodbyes. Hydrangeas though, especially blue ones...
"Cold hearted, arrogant, pride, betrayal," Haruka spat out the last word. "They can go to hell for that."
"Are you sure it's not an apology?" Shachi asked. "Them telling you their sorry before saying a final goodbye."
"It could be both," Sakura replied out loud. "Anger and betrayal in the begining, and then regret for all that has happened."
Sakura had no idea how close she was to the truth.
