Summary
Din Djarin accepts a bounty to return a runaway wife to her wealthy husband, never suspecting such a mundane assignment would turn his world upside down. Seeing the abuse she suffers upon her return makes him feel guilty, so when she infiltrates his ship and holds him at gunpoint later that day, he doesn't put up much of a fight. The original agreement was only to take her off-world, but a curious bond quickly forms between the two. Akeeli complicates the Mandalorian's isolated and militant lifestyle by caring for his well-being, seeking to protect and comfort him, and determination to convince him he deserves better. Her stubborn, compassionate influence makes a meteor-like impact, especially when another bounty isn't quite what Din expected and he suddenly finds himself prioritizing something other than himself.
