Work Text:

They said, that the Uchiha clan was a family full of love; They protect and care the special people in their lives at all cost.

But too much love could kill someone. Better yet, Sakura Uchiha wanted to kill the strongest members of their clan for their much love to her daughter.

It started in a beautiful Saturday morning, when she stumbled upon the Uchiha men gushing on Sarada in the living room of their huge mansion.

"My dear, can you explain to me what is going on here?" Sakura asked, pointing to Madara who was carrying; better yet, lifting up the 11-month-old Sarada with Obito and Shisui telling them to go left or right.

Sasuke blinked, as if wondering why Sakura couldn't understand.

‘Wasn’t it obvious?’ He mentally questioned.

Still, he generously explained the situation to her. "Well, you said before that it's time for Sarada to learn how to walk. And so, we all took a leave from work to teach her how to do it. And I’m telling you, Sakura, our daughter is doing great so far," Sasuke proudly answered, he was pleased with the little girl’s achievement.

"All of you?" Sakura confirmed, raising her brow.

"Aa. We don't want to miss Sarada's first walk, it’s special for us. Too bad for you, Sakura, you just missed it, you did not see her walking like a future beauty queen or fashion model. But don't worry, I filmed it earlier.

Sakura felt a vein twitched," Well, how many minutes had passed since Sarada has been like that?"

"Just two hours."

"You mean, Grandpa Madara has been carrying Sarada since seven in the morning?"

"Aa, and our peanut was not being carried, she was practicing how to walk."

"In the air?!" Sakura loudly questioned, garnering the attention of the other Uchihas on the scene.

"When I said that she should learn how to walk, I meant on the ground." she facepalmed, feeling that she needed to take a paracetamol tablet for her incoming headache.

Sasuke pouted. "But we could not do that, my wife."

"Yes, Sakura. Sasuke was right." Itachi interjected.

"Sarada could not walk on the floor yet, it has still 99.9% germs. We haven't disinfected it yet... Maybe, we should just change all the tiles, what do you think, little sister?" he questioned, seriously considering who could replace their flooring and if the tiles should be made of marble, wood or gold.

"No need for that, Itachi-nii. Sarada could just wear shoes and besides it would take a long time for all the tiles to be replaced." Sakura responded but, was immediately countered by another Uchiha.

"That's impossible Sakura, the baby shoes that I ordered from Senju company would earliest arrive, next week, they said it's because they couldn't find the most exquisite rubies for it, how incompetent!" Indra chimed in, making Sakura to try her hardest in supressing her annoyance with their over-dramatic attitude.

‘Patience, Sakura. Patience’ Sakura chanted in her head.

"Then, how about you let Sarada walk on the couch? That's soft, she could walk without shoes on it." She recommended.

"That's also a 'no', Sakura. Obito sat on that couch yesterday and he farted; that area was so dirty and smelly like him." Shisui butted, rejecting her idea for the nth time.

"Hey! What do you mean smelly? It's not smelly because of me, it's because of you, you laze around there without taking a bath for a week already." Obito remarked in defense, shortening Sakura's patience with them for they started to bicker again.

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

She tried to calm herself down in the middle of the noisy surrounding.

"Okay, fine. If you want to teach Sarada to 'walk in the air', why not do it outside? so that she could see a beautiful scenery," Sakura suggested which earned a nod from all the males.

At last, there's a suggestion from her that they considered. They could still be called normal... or not...

"You're right, my wife, it would be best for Sarada to look at something nice while walking; but there’s too much dust outside so I think let’s just do a living room makeover… Itachi-nii, could you call Deidara? He could turn our walls into a colorful masterpiece by painting some dinosaurs on it."

Itachi agreed. "I could do that, then Obito and Shisui, you better select the best paint from the best store that sells it. Do it properly."

"On it!" Obito and Shisui chorussed, fishing out their phone from their pocket.

"Oh, do not forget to put different shades of red on the wall like crimson, scarlet and burgundy. And maybe little Sarada would also like the shade candy apple, so buy some paint of it too," Indra added.

‘Geez, nothing changed!’ Sakura moaned inwardly.

Right. Uchiha men really just think differently.

And when she thought that this was already the worst scenario, Fugaku suddenly came in and made a beeline towards the little Uchiha princess.

“Sarada, grandpa is here. Let me hold you, now.” he gently urged.

“No, no. She still wants to be with her great grandpa,” Madara declined for the girl.

“But, it’s my time already!”

“No is no, Fugaku.”

As such, Fugaku argued with Madara more, strongly demanding that it was already his time to hold Sarada; which the old man countered that he still has another hour to hold the little girl.

Ugh, how chaotic; Sakura's head was spinning from their actions and line of thoughts.

And so, she closed her eyes and gritted. "Sasuke Uchiha."

The said man frowned, knowing that his name when uttered by an irritated Sakura, would mean that he has to do something or else he would sleep tonight with Shiro, their family dog.

"Okay, let me handle this, Sakura." Sasuke replied, walking towards to the two old men.

"Father, Grandpa; let me take Sarada. Both of you have to rest, your knees were weak already."

"No, Sasuke. I wanna hold my granddaughter for a while."

"No, Sasuke. I wanna hold my great granddaughter for a while."

Madara and Fugaku disagreed in sync.

"But I am her father, and I want to hold my daughter for a while, too."

Oh great! Sasuke just joined them, causing a three-way debate.

And if it was not yet messy enough, the other men also got involved.

“Father, Grandpa, Sasuke, let me have Sarada, I am her favorite uncle.”

“That’s not right, Itachi! I am her favorite uncle. Come here, Sarada; let uncle Obito hold you or else you’ll get wrinkles if you stay with them.”

“Not so fast, I haven’t had my turn yet!” Shisui complained.

1… 2… 3…

“Shut up!” Sakura shouted at the top of her lungs, freezing the Uchiha men on their spot; it seemed her patience reached the limit.

"Guys, I’ll take Sarada!" She declared, taking away Sarada while the men were still shocked from her voice.

Once the child was in her arms, her scary attitude morphed into a sweet one.

"Sarada, you better not grow up like them, okay?” She advised with a smile.

"Bah! Bah! Bah!"

"Grow up like Grandma Mikoto, okay?"

"Bah! Bah! Bah!" Sarada happily answered, shattering the hearts of the Uchiha men around her.

Uh-oh!

They said, that the Uchiha clan was a family full of love; but for Sakura Uchiha, well, they were just a family full of craziness.
