“But… you didn’t want this to end," Ritsuka murmured. "And I… wanted to make you happy.”
“You’ve already made me happy beyond my wildest imaginations,” she stroked his hair. “I am a Heroic Spirit of Heaven, rather than one of Humans or Earth. I am not the King Arthur… or rather, Artoria, that you know. And yet…”
She kissed him, and he returned her affection with vigor, leaning into her lips. His hands alighted on her waist, and he held her tightly as she began to rock her hips with slightly more need.
“...you have given me the most human chance of all,” she broke away to breathe. “The chance… to fall in love, and be loved.”
In which Ritsuka bares his heart to the King of Knights. She who fought with her own humanity and godhood, who dared not trample the flowers of his happiness… is invited to walk with him, in that garden of romantic eternity.
