Worst day. Today was just the worst one of the days for Neuro, like the worst from all. Not only did he get his submission rejected, his coffee got spilled, suddenly there was an emergency, a bunch of crazy scientists interrupted the peace, and worst of all, he got turned into a girl by one of them.
After a quick bust handling the bad guys, soon Neuro then cornered one of the scientists that hit him with the potions. "Turn me back. Right now." He gripped the scientists by the collar as he also tried to hold his clothes from falling off from his new small body. The scientists quiver in fear trying to avert eye contact with Neuro as the mind master only glaring hard as if he is almost going to use his power on the scientists, "There's no antidote for i-it!"
"Liar!"
Neuro then went to read his mind as he found the answer he needed, which is kinda hard since the scientists keep squirming in his place avoiding for his mind to be read. Which makes Neuro even madder than before, "Stop squirming around. I tried to find an answer to turn me back!" He yelled at the scientists, but before he could do anything he was stopped by Karlof who held his waist and hoist him away from there
"Karlof! Put me down now!"
"You need to calm down first, karlof can't do that if you don't calm down first!"
"I am calm!"
As Neuro struggled to free himself, Shade then went to the scientists and crouches as his sight now was even with the scientists on the floor. "What did you do to him?" He asks coldly as he grips the scientist's shirt collar as he was laughing seeing Neuro struggle with his new situation, which makes Shade angry a little. "It's just a small experiment, turning him into a pretty young lady as it was fitting for him" he told Shade as he eyed the master of mind in interest.
"Watch your eyes and mouth. That's my boyfriend you are looking at, change him back. Now." He told him cold as the scientist smirked at him, interested in how things were going on. "Easy there, the effects won't be that long. You're pretty man will be back for a few days, so just enjoy while it last" the scientists chuckles, and before he could say anything again Shade's shadow then consumed the scientists as it teleported him to somewhere else.
And Shade then sighed as he now has to face angry Neuro that still being held by karlof strong grip. "Karlof, you can leave him with me now." Shade walked by as Karlof then nodded and let go of Neuro, "where is that man? I haven't finished with him– hey! Shade, let go of me!!" Neuro squirming as Shade then carried him in his arm, face now red as he also tried to hold his clothes that were almost falling.
"Should Karlof tell the others we're finished with the mission? And possibly tell the mishap?" Karlof asked Shade as he got a nod from him. "Yeah, that would be helpful. Also please tell the girls to help Neuro with his new situation. I don't think I would understand about his new problem now" he said with a blush covering his face, he knew exactly what he meant by the word. As Neuro was reading his mind while he was in his arms, "S-shade!" He exclaimed with his new high voice he requires since he's a girl now.
"Not my fault! How should I expect that?!"
So both then became silent as the two were now blushing along the way, Karlof then looked at the two of them confused but he couldn't really say anything about it.
"Who knew Neuro could be clumsy and involved in this mess?" Tox teases him– her as Neuro glares at her as she now sits on the couch, as Skylor, Tox and Chamille surround him looking at her new appearance. Her hair now long until it reaches the shoulder, with a new bang covering her eyes, her face now rounded and with those rosy cheeks, her height is also now much smaller as she was now the same height as Skylor. There's also a big problem as she now has this big mound in her chest and not to mention her clothes were now bigger than before. Everything was different except she still has her usual panda eyes and her hair still the same color, "shut it, Tox. I don't know what I should do now, since Shade told me you three could handle whatever is happening…" she told the other as Chamille kept observing her new appearance.
"Well, first. We need to cut those long bangs. It's bothering your eyesight, and we need to treat your new haircut and ofcourse, we're going to choose a pretty dress for you!" She exclaimed with excitement, as Neuro could feel bad ideas from this. She needs a distraction from here, "comeon, Cham. Don't make him– her scared like that" Skylor chuckles at her friends' antics.
Neuro then sighs in relief as Skylor knows how she feels now. "But then again, we really need a makeover for you and your situation, Neuro." She pointed at her, which Neuro noticed that she really did need a makeover. "Fine, but I don't want any weird dress to wear if that's what you want." She grumbles as the three then happily help Neuro.
Meanwhile with Shade, he now waits in the main room as he was nervous about Neuro's now being a girl and seems can't help but to think many thoughts about this new situation. "Ughhh…. Where is he? He's supposed to be done by now"
"Is Shade worried that Neuro would take too long? You know that this is Skylor, Chamille and Tox we're talking about right? Ofcourse it would be long" Ash snickering now as he look at Shade face, who's now panicking of what happen in there. "Why don't you feel in my place, how would you feel if Griffin turned into a girl too? Wouldn't you be panicking, knowing that it would take a few days to turn him back?" Shade now in a full panic then heard a loud laugh from Ash as he looked calm.
"Why are you laughing? It's not that funny!"
"I know, it's just if I'm in your position now I would maybe take my time enjoying it. Y'know, aren't you curious how they would be as girls?"
That made Shade shut up as he processed his words. I mean, regardless of what happens he still loves Neuro and he is still going to love him. "Alright– but aren't you going to be worried?"
"Heh, regardless of the genders I would still love my boyfriend. It's still him nonetheless, so why bother? Also in my opinion, Griffin would be a very cute lady. Just imagining him wearing a cute dress, long hair, pretty face, lovely smile and laughter, everything is perfect." Ash sighs, grinning from only imagining it.
"You're helpless.."
"Atleast I'm telling the truth, your to shy to admit it infront of Neuro" Ash teases him as it just made Shade a little pissed by his word. "Fine. He's pretty alright? And I was right he would be more cute and attractive than any girls, regardless either he's a man or not he's still more attractive"
Ash smirked and shook Shade's hand, a smile plastering on his face. "Heh, i knew it you will confess but sorry to burst your bubble, Griffin would be more cute and attractive than your words you said earlier"
"Who would look more cute and attractive?" Griffin said as he suddenly was already sitting beside Ash while holding a paper form in his hands, "what are you two talking about now? You guys did say that the girls helped Neuro right?" Griffin asks as he smiles, wanting to know about their talk earlier.
Ash smiles back at him as he cupped his cheek and kisses him, "just talking, and maybe imagining how cute that you would be as a girl" he wink, as Griffin chuckles and returns the kiss. "I am already cute thankyou very much, no need to be imagining" he teases Ash. You could say that Shade was being pissed by now. Not long after that, the door opens as Chamille walks out from the room with a satisfied smile on her face as Tox and Skylor follow her from behind.
"Well, gentlemen. The mission is successful! And I'm proudly present, Neuro!" With a rather quiet force, Chamille then pulled Neuro, now with her new appearance. Now she wears a cute sleeveless dress with her usual dark colours scheme, and to match her scheme she also wears a grey cropped hoodie with a wolf ear on the head. It resembled someone in some way, and a black pair of knee high socks. It is not Neuro's taste kind of choice in fashion, but it fits her new image.
Her hair also got straightened and let it grow to her shoulder length. The girls was satisfied with the result as Neuro was blushing in embarrassment, "this was a stupid idea…" the master of mind grumbles under her breath while clutching on her dress, the others were impressed by the result meanwhile on the other hand, Shade stood there, didn't react anything as he just staring at his partner with a poker face. When actually he was panicking and screaming inside in happiness as he saw how gorgeous Neuro was.
"That looks great on you."
'FUCK HE LOOKS REALLY PRETTY THAN I EXPECTED! Thank you crazy scientist for turning him into a girl, this image will be permanently stuck into my head!'
"Shade…. Shade!"
"Huh? What did you say?" He caught off guard as the others stared at him.
"We want to know your reaction to these situations. You've been quiet since earlier.."
Shade then looked over to Neuro as he couldn't help but to stare at her long enough as his cheeks slowly felt hot. "I-im fine! Nothings wrong—"
Ash then cuts off his words as he snickering under his hand, "he's just speechless after seeing Neuro with the new makeover. He's starstruck by it, and wondering if he could ask him on a date" in result he got a hard slap on the back by the master of shadow, his face was burning as Ash was laughing at his friend's messy self now. "Shut it Ash! I didn't say anything about it!"
Neuro, who was already reading Shade's mind now blushing red, didn't know he would be this down bad for him now. It was overwhelming for him.
"Ooh? Looks like it our que to leave you two alone then, alright you two go on a date and have fun~" Chamille squel as she pushed the others out of the room and left Shade and Neuro to be left alone. After they left the room, it was really awkward for the both of them. One, because Neuro already read his mind and two, Shade was having a major simping moment so that's why he didn't say anything at all. "No, I didn't choose this particular dress and hoodie, Shade" Neuro said as she just read his mind again and Shade then shook his head from his zoning out again.
"I… know that"
"You didn't. You keep asking that question in your head, knowing full I can just read that… and yes sadly my collar was being confiscated by Tox. They said I should use another collar, and they chose this choker instead." Neuro points to her choker as Shade nodded.
After a lot of explaining, maybe it's the right time for him to ask her on a date (that's what Chamille suggests) and help her to get used to it while they can. He was about to ask her, but his voice wouldn't come out since he was too nervous to ask her out, "you don't have to ask about that. I won't mind going on a date to help through my new situation" Neuro told him as Shade can feel an imaginary tail wagging happily, and he nodded as he rushed to get ready for their date.
Not long after that, Shade then appear with a new change of clothes and went over to Neuro who seemingly waited for him. "Where should we go first? You wanna go to the library in the middle of the city?" He asked her, "I work there remember? Besides, I don't want anyone to notice me like this…" she pointed out to her wearing, and Shade nodded and thought something else, "how about the museum? If you're not interested we could just go to the newly opened pastry shop, there's a lot of sweets too. Or maybe somewhere else you have in mind?" He asks her, as Neuro tries to decide their destination.
"I mean I don't mind if we go to the museum first and then go to the pastry shop afterwards" she explained to him, and when she finally decided with her choices Shade then began to open the door and held her hand, making both of them blushing again. "Museum it is then, shall we go?" He tried to clear his mind and breath and the both went on their date for today.
It's been the first 25 minutes when they arrived and seeing there's soo many people crowded the place, he thought it would be empty since it was really Friday and it's almost weekends so both decide to stick together. Neuro then went to the painting section, and to enjoy the painting they held there, Shade who's not far away from her can only look at her rather than the pictures. As he observes her, he can't take his eyes off her as she is like a muse to him. After another hour, Neuro didn't move from where she stood earlier as if she still admired the painting, with a worry Shade then went to her as he stood beside her to see what she was admiring since an hour ago.
"What have you been looking at since an hour ago?" He asks as she points to the painting she looked at, as he sees the painting, it was a painting of the serpentine war from decades ago. "Oh, it's the first serpentine war. I heard that our ancestors were involved in this" he said and Neuro nodded, still fixated by the painting as she looked at one particular person. "Isn't that Kai's and Nya's parents? Just how old are they anyway? It looks like the two didn't age from time to time" the master of mind asked as the question was somewhat still a mystery till now. "Heh, who knew– oh there's also my mother in the picture" Shade pointed to the purple dress braided hair lady as she was fighting the serpentine.
Neuro was surprised by this new information she got, she didn't know that his mother was also in there. "She's pretty… she looks just like you" Shade smiles as he chuckles from her words, "Heh, usually people would say I look just like my dad. I'm happy knowing someone knows how attractive I am, just like my mom is" He boasted to his partner as Neuro rolled her eyes. "I only say she looks just like you, I didn't say whatever the words you say" Neuro huffed her cheeks and looking to the other way
"But you like me regardless. So I could say for you that you think I'm attractive" he teases as he cupped Neuro's cheek, making the mind master staring at him. Their lips are inches away from eachother, almost to make them kiss but Neuro quickly covers his lips with her hand.
"Stop. There's people in here, they're going to see us.." she told him as Shade just huffed his breath but he smiled teasingly at her. "Alright, not here then. Anyway, you're done admiring the painting? We have another place to go now" he said to her as he lent his hand, sign to hold his hand. Neuro grinned a little as she took his hand and the both then began their walk to the pastry shop as their next destination.
After a long walk to the shop, they then finally arrived and saw the line. "Ah… looks like they are crowded by the line of customers, should we just go to other stores? We can go here another time" Shade told her as he sighs in defeat, truth to be told he really wants to bring Neuro here since he heard there's earl grey macaron. Neuro's favourite dessert, but it looks like he's going to think of another plan. "I don't mind waiting in here, the lines aren't that long."
"No, we can go another day. Hopefully they still have it…" Shade sighs in disappointment, looks like he can't buy the macaron now. Neuro who noticed this then pushed him to wait in the line, as the master of shadow looked at her in confusion. "Neuro? What are you–" "You said you were already planning this from last week, so just go there and buy what you want. I'm going to be fine waiting here, I'm an elemental master of mind. If something happens I'll inform you" Neuro cut off Shade's sentence as she insisted him to wait in line.
He sighs, he really can't argue with Neuro huh? So he nodded and went into the line, as the master of mind was waiting for him outside the pastry shop. The wait for the pastry could really take a long time, but Neuro was fine with it. She didn't mind, okay maybe it could make her nervous since it was really crowded and she also forgot her collar was being confiscated by Tox so she couldn't really control her power. But that's fine, she still can handle it.
She just needs to take a deep breath and calm herself up. Breath in… breath out… breath in… breath out– "Hey there, mind if I accompany you there? You seem lonely" someone approaches her and Neuro looks at the person who talks to her, a young man wearing leather jacket and ponytail hair waits beside the master of mind. "...." Neuro didn't say anything to him, as she was already reading the man's thoughts first and already knew what he wanted. "What are you doing here all alone now? Been dumped by your boyfriend I see, do you need someone to rebound?" The man said as Neuro just kept ignoring him until Shade came out from the pastry shop and went to Neuro.
"So what's your name–"
"Neuro! Sorry for the wait, got a little carried away, there's a lot of fans in there– who is this?" Shade asks as he looks at the man as he glaring at him sending a death stare, making the man shiver from the stare. "I don't know either… oh, they got earl grey macaron? Thanks Shade"
"Shade? As in master of shadow?! I thought he was dating master of mind–"
"I am. Infact, you're talking to my lover there" Shade informed him and to make sure he knew he said it with a lot of emphasis on the word. The man then quivers as he then immediately flees from there, scared and embarrassed about it. Neuro then let out a laughter from the scene that she just saw, need to admit it was hilarious indeed.
"You're jealous?" Neuro teases him as a blush then appears on Shade's face as he looks away from her, "no I am not. Let's just head back now, I'm also going to eat my bread while we walk" he told her as he held onto her hands, his hands were warm from the sudden heat as he was touching hand with her. Their walk back to the dojo was a bit awkward and silent, with how silent Neuro was and Shade enjoying his bread and still blushing from the earlier incident.
Neuro observes her boyfriend as he enjoys his food, and notices there's a smear of crumbs in the corner of his mouth. Shade then looked at her from the corner of his eyes and noticed how she stared at him, "What's wrong?"
Neuro then pointed her finger to the left cheeks, as to show that there's a crumb left in his mouth. Shade, who didn't get the message, thought that Neuro wanted him to kiss her, with a sly grin he then went to kiss her on the cheeks and then suddenly kissed her on the lips. Neuro was surprised and blushing hard after that and went to pinch on his cheek, "what are you doing?!"
"You wanted a kiss, no?"
"No! I was trying to point out that there's a crumb on your cheeks!" She said flustered from the sudden action. Shade then realized what he did and began to chuckle seeing her like this. "But you like the kiss right? And wanted to do it again, no?" He wink at her and make her blush again, "I… we will talk about this later!" She exclaimed and went ahead to the dojo, leaving Shade there chuckling all the time. After both arrive at the dojo, everyone was wondering how was their date went and leaving the two blushing.
"Thanks again for letting me borrow your clothes…" Neuro thanks him as she then sits on his bed. It was already night time and it was already bedtime for them. "Yeah sure, I love to lend you more of my clothes if you like to borrow them more" he said excitedly as he finally could see Neuro wearing his sleepwear in a cute style as the clothes were a little bit big on her. Neuro then finally plopped on the bed as she was ready to sleep, and bringing Shade to her, as she hugged him like a teddy bear.
"Thank You, Shade."
"Thank you for what?"
"For today. I realise that today might not be a bad day, and I realised that I'm glad to have you" she confessed and then went to kiss him on the lips and he then reciprocated the kiss. Shade then pulled away, he could see the blush on Neuro as she smiled and hugged him again. "Goodnight, Shade." She said and began to drift to sleep.
Shade was speechless by this, but he can't help but let out a small chuckle. "Goodnight to you too, Neuro. I love you" and then he slowly closed his eyes and went to sleep for the night.
Bonus: the next morning Neuro was back with his original body, and another bonus that the others had his photo when he was in a dress as a blackmail. Shade proceed request for the pictures, ofcourse he got scolded by Neuro at the end.
