And there he was again. Being dumped by his recent ex-girlfriend. It's already the 5th one for this year's he doesn't need anymore heartbreak. Well it wasn't his fault (only 2 times it was his fault) and it has the same reason why they are breaking up, his lack of attention on them. In Shade's opinion he doesn't want to be the overprotective or possessive boyfriend, he only wants to have a normal relationship and give them some space. Like enough of attention and love and didn't pressure them.
But he guesses those exes don't like how he treated them. They want the opposite of it, just because Shade looks like a bad boy doesn't mean he doesn't treat them like how a good boyfriend should!
"What do you mean you're not good enough for them?!" His little sister, Ultra Violet was now fuming as her brother told her how he got dumped again and the reason was all the same as before. "I don't know maybe they were right, how I'm not good enough and I should just follow their wants," he sighed as it made his sister more mad than before.
She was now banging the table where they placed their orders, everyone looking at them with shock. Violet then gave them an apologetic gesture, forgetting that they were now in a family restaurant. "No, Shade. You don't need to be changed just because your stupid exes expect you to grant their expectations of being 'bad boy'" she quoted as she still believes that her brother wasn't in the wrong. Shade was feeling miserable right now, he still thought he wasn't good enough to have a girlfriend or even be a perfect boyfriend.
"Don't lie, Violet. You know how my other 4 exes expect me the same" he sighs, drinking his coffee in full sorrow. Violet gave her brother a hug and patted his head, "don't be ridiculous, if you followed their expectations I wouldn't recognize you anymore. You're already good enough for me, for being the best big brother and you don't need to change anything just to make someone happy" she said, it was kinda rare how she comforted her brother, usually she would comfort him with a little bit harsh but she meant well.
Shade nodded as he returned the hug, after a long comforting hug Violet then let go of the hug and came up with another suggestion. "Besides, there are still a lot of girls you can find! Or not a boyfriend should do too! Don't worry, I fully approve of that!" She grins, making her brother smack her back. "Hey!"
Shade smiles as he was already feeling a little better than before, "yeah there's still a lot of people out there…"
"Of course there's a lot of people! Say why not go on a blind dates? I have a lot of acquaintances that are still single!" She suggested and of course Shade had already rejected her suggestion as he doesn't want anymore heartbreak, "how about not in the meantime? I still need to recover at least from my recent breakup…" he told her as Violet laughed at her own brother.

After sometime recovering from his heartbreak, Shade decides that he won't be going on a date for a while and so he just decides to have fun for himself. That is until today….
"I should go buy something to takeout and maybe buy some sweets too…" he mumbled to himself as he walked inside a restaurant to take-out. He was about to walk to the counter and his eyes accidentally stared at amethyst colored eyes, there he saw a girl with dual color white and black hair, who seemingly sit on a table with a guy accompanying her. 'What pretty eyes…' he thought as he walked past and didn't stop looking at her.
The girl then looked at him, and it seems their eyes met. Shade couldn't help wandering into the amethyst eyes, and suddenly he could feel his surroundings was in slow motion as the girl stared at him, a bored expression shown and right there, Shade wanted to greet her. But suddenly their stare stopped as the girl was being called by the guy In front of her, and her eyes then met with her partner. Shade then also got called by the waiter to order his take-out, 'nevermind… she's pretty rude' he huffed as he grabbed his food and went out from there.

When he was about to go home, he accidentally crossed paths again with the girl he met earlier as she was now alone. He didn't see her where her partner was, but it wasn't his business to think about it. She seemed bored as he could see she wasn't very happy with how her date went, "you know you could stop staring at me…." She told him as she looked up to him as he didn't realize that he was staring at her earlier.
"I wasn't looking at you… there was a firefly passing by" he lied as the girl stared at him, looking unimpressed. Actually he was looking at her since earlier, the girl has two dual hair colors where she has two sides of white hair and the middle was black color, as the girl is wearing white long blouse with a long dark blue skirt reaching her knee and a pair of black boots she wore. "Sure… let's just pretend there was an imaginary firefly passing" she said while crossing her arms in front of her.
Both then went silent as they waited for the traffic light to turn red. It was dead silent for them, "I see your date didn't go well…" he said as the girl looked at him, but soon she nodded her head, "he wasn't my type, he wanted to do it after the date anyway" she said and Shade was speechless hearing that. That must be some kind of a jerk of a man wanting to do it after the first date, "so that's a red flag then?"
"Yeah, I knew this blind date was going nowhere" she sighs, well Shade could agree on that anyway. After the light went green it was time for them to walk. "So why did you stare at me back there? I didn't mean it to be rude, just curious…" she asked, and to be fair Shade himself was asking himself the same question. Why? To say the answer he didn't know either, "I guess I just like your eyes. It's pretty like an amethyst… sorry if I sounded weird or something— it's been a while after recovering from my recent breakups" he rants to her as the girl just listened to his ranting, he went on a rant until he realized he was overdo again like he used to.
"S-sorry… I didn't mean to rant on you like that, also sorry you have to hear a stranger like me venting into someone you've barely met" he apologized as the girl shook her head, "no need to apologize, that's perfectly fine. I don't mind being a listener for someone, everyone needs to rant on something once in a while" she answered as they both walked past the park, as the breeze was accompanying them both.
And then awkward silence, and Shade then talked to her again. After a lot of talking, Shade felt relieved after letting out his frustration and he thanked her. "Thank you for listening to my ranting, uhm…"
"Neuro. You can call me Neuro, and you are?"
"My name's Shade. Thanks once again for listening to me, I couldn't thank you enough for giving me a advice too"
"That's alright. Also, you weren't in the wrong. Your exes are, they are weak and useless to think you weren't good enough for them. It's their loss for breaking up with a great guy who respects girls and their privacy, they're expecting too much" Neuro went on a rambling as Shade went still, seeing someone defending him other than his sister. And he can't help but to let out a small laughter, making Neuro look up at him.
His face turned into a smile as he laughed away happily, as the light then shone on him making him sparkle in the dim light. "It's the first time someone would defend me like that… thanks, I appreciate it" he said as Neuro could feel her cheeks begin to feel warm. "Yeah, no problem…"
They both then walked almost close to their areas, only a few blocks and alleys apart from them. "Oh, looks like our house seems to be close to eachother. Only a few blocks and an alley…" Shade said as his house went to the left side, "Do you want me to accompany you to your home? It's not safe for a girl to go out alone" he told her as she just shook her head and refused his request, "that's alright. I'm actually living in an apartment closer to here, just 2 blocks away" she said as she pointed to a big apartment ahead of them.
"I see… Well, it's been a great night to talk and meet you. Neuro" he smiles as she returns a smile at him, "the pleasure of meeting you as well, Shade."
So Shade waved a goodbye to her as he was heading to his way home, "well, I see you later again sometime" just as he was about to go, Neuro then stopping him by tugging at the back of his sleeve. Shade then looked back to her, as she still tugged at his sleeve, "thankyou for today. For everything, maybe my date is horrible but I appreciate your help for today. Give me a text sometimes, maybe we will meet again in the future" she said as she handed him her phone number as he took it, surprised how everything turned out. But before he could say thanks, Neuro already left. Leaving him stood there, her number still in his hand.
"What ya got there?" Suddenly Ultra Violet surprised him from behind, making him jolt in surprise. "Fucking hell— Violet! Don't scare me like that!" He said as his sister laughed at him. "I see a girl's number~ who's the lucky girl? Are you going to call her or text her?" She asked him as his face was red as he then put the number in his pocket, "that's none of your business! Comeon, the food is here, don't want it to be cold" he said as he walked away and went to their home as Violet giggled behind him. Oh this is going to be fun!

Months later, Shade was being dragged by Ultra Violet to go on a blind date. Well, he should give it another try perhaps. When he arrived at the place, he could see where his reserve seat was, and not long after his date appeared.
And there she was, Neuro walking into the place as she looked around where her date was. She's wearing the same dress they first met, and she's beautiful. Neuro then looked where her date was and there it was amethyst eyes meeting sapphire.
She waved at him as she sat across from him, Shade didn't expect that his sister would set him up with her, "looks like your my date for today? I'll say your sister's words piqued my interest… i hope you dont mind if i meet you more often?" she smiles as Shade could feel his cheeks becomes more red slightly.
"Yeah… I don't mind with that, infact it was a pleasure to meeting you more often for later" he answered also smiles at her. This was going to be a new chance afterall, forget the past. Now he only need to focus on his new possible for the future.
