Chapter Text
It was the middle of an Olympian council meeting on Mount Olympus, and it was chaotic.
Zeus and Poseidon were arguing over who Mother Rhea liked best, as they have been doing since the first council meeting, Hera was telling anyone who would listen about Zeus’s latest betrayal, Demeter was complaining to Hades about him marrying her daughter, Hades was rolling his eyes and ignoring her, Apollo and Artemis were arguing over who was the oldest twin, Ares and Athena were fighting over who was the better war god, Aphrodite was busy fixing her makeup, Hephaestus was busy building something, Hestia was tending to the hearth, and Dionysus was looking through wine magazines.
Everyone was interrupted by a bright flash of light. Once the light cleared, a group of people stood in the middle of the throne room, looking around in wonder. Zeus snapped out of his shock and took a step forward menacingly.
“Who are you and how dare you show up on Olympus uninvited?” he growled. The group looked at each other in surprise, they remembered being summoned to Olympus. A blonde and gray eyed girl stepped forward and bowed low.
“Apologies, Lord Zeus, we were summoned to Olympus in our time. We are demi-gods from the future who have been sent back into the past for some reason.” the girl explained. The Gods all looked at each other before returning to their seats and staring down at the group of demi-gods.
“Please, introduce yourselves.” Artemis ordered. The blonde girl that had spoken earlier went first.
“I am Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena, Architect of Olympus.” Athena smiled at her daughter.
“I am Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon, Twice Savior of Olympus.” Percy said. Poseidon smiled at his son before shrinking down to his normal size and summoning a couch next to him. Percy smiled before bounding over and sitting next to his father. The other Gods did the same thing as their children introduced themselves.
“Grover Underwood, Satyr, Lord of the Wild.” Hermes was confused as to where his son, Pan, had gone but decided to ask later.
“Travis-”
“And Conner,”
“Stoll” the two finished together. “Sons of Hermes.” Hermes grinned brightly before patting the couch next to him.
“Chris Rodreguiz, Son of Hermes.” Hermes smiled as his son joined him.
“Clarisse La Rue, Daughter of Ares, Drakon Slayer.” Ares nodded proudly at his daughter, ruffling her hair as she sat down next to him. Clarisse grinned proudly.
“Nico di Angelo, Son of Hades, The Ghost King.” Nico introduced himself, going to sit next to his father who looked at him proudly.
“Will Solace, Son of Apollo, Best Healer at Camp Half-Blood.” Apollo smiled proudly at his son.
“Thalia Grace, Daughter of Zeus, Lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis.” Zeus nodded his head at his daughter while Hera glared hatefully at Thalia. Thalia pointedly ignored her. Artemis looked proud of her future Lieutenant but wondered what happened to Zoe. She’d ask later.
“Rachel Elizabeth Dare, mortal, Oracle of Delphi.” Rachel introduced. Apollo grinned brightly as Rachel sat on the floor in front of his throne.
“Silena Beauregard, Daughter of Aphrodite.” At the introduction, all the demi-gods, plus Rachel, gasped. Clarisse was instantly out of her seat, wrapping her arms around her dead friend tightly.
“Charles Beckendorf, Son of Hephaestus.” Percy grinned brightly before getting up and giving his friend a hug and clap on the back.
“Luke Castellan, Son of Hermes, Hero of Olympus.” Annabeth and Thalia gasped before rushing over to hug him tightly. Hermes grinned brightly, patting the couch. Luke grinned back before sitting on the couch, next to Chris. His brothers patted him on the back in greeting.
“Michael Yew, Son of Apollo.” Will burst into tears as he rushed over to hug his older brother tightly. Apollo knew that by his son’s reaction that Michael didn’t make it in the future and the thought saddened him deeply. Michael hugged his brother back, gently rocking him.
“Lee Fletcher, Son of Apollo.” Will cried out again as he let Michael go and hugged his other brother. Again, Apollo knew another of his son’s hadn’t made it. His eyes filled with tears but only one trailed down his cheek. The three sons of Apollo made their way back towards the couch where Apollo hugged his two older sons tightly.
There was another flash before the Three Fates were seen in the throne room. Immediately, everyone bowed, including the Gods and Goddesses. Once everyone was sitting back down, the Fates spoke.
“We have brought you all here today to read the stories of an alternate universe, one where Perseus Jackson is female. We need certain Gods to go get their other family. Lord Poseidon, please go retrieve your wife and children for the reading. Lord Hermes, please go get Chiron and the current heroes and bring them here.” one of the sisters spoke. Both Gods immediately flashed out, only to be back moments later with the requested people.
After the Fates explained to the newcomers, everyone sat down again. The Fates snapped their fingers and a book appeared. It landed on Annabeth’s lap, open to the first chapter.
“There are ten books in total, and most of them are rather different in terms of being compared to Percy Jackson’s life. Most characters stay the same but the plot might be rather different. As time goes on, more people will start appearing, mostly including people from Nerissa’s universe. Eventually, Nerissa herself will appear and explain everything to you. Remember, this is hundreds of years in the future. We’ll provide you with the knowledge to understand.” With a snap, all the Gods, Goddesses, and past heroes hunched over in pain, holding their heads as hundreds of years' worth of information appeared to them. With another snap, the Fates vanished.
“Well, that was something.” Hermes decided as the pain faded, and he sat up again. He waved away his children who were asking if he was okay. “Shall we read?”
“Yes, let’s.” Athena replied, gesturing to her daughter to read.
Annabeth picked up the book, cleared her throat and read, “Nerissa Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Chapter One: I Accidentally Vaporize my Pre-Algebra Teacher.”
