,,I don't know if they will accept this."
Dean frowns and turns around in the bed. Cas is laying next to him and is looking at the ceiling, with anxious look on his face. Dean turns towards his fully and lays one of his hands on his face. He turns Cas' gaze towards him and stares into his eyes.
,,Accept what?"
Dean can tell that something is hurting Cas on an emotional level and he would like to help him, but if he doesn't know what's happening, he can't.
,,What are you talking about, baby?"
When he lightly caressed his cheeks, Cas closes his eyes and leans into the touch. Dean smiles. If he didn't know how touch starved Cas was in his childhood, he would think of Cas as clingy, which is as far from the truth as possible.
,,Baby?"
Cas opens his eyes, immediately looking in his concerned ones.
,,My parents."
Dean frowns again and props himself up so he can look at Cas better. He leans closer to him and tries to find something in his mesmerizing eyes. Cas holds his breath and when Dean leans back when he obviously found what he was looking for, he exhales.
,,You're worried about your parents not accepting that you're in a real relationship with someone who loves you?"
Dean smirks slightly when Cas averts his eyes. He knows Cas isn't used to hearing that someone loves him, so Dean tries to say it as much as possible even if it makes Cas blush furiously every time.
He also knows that Cas is anxious about his parents meeting him. When they started dating, Cas told him that his family is very religious and that they don't support same sex relationships, so when they found out that Cas' brother Gabriel is bisexual, they disowned him. Ever since then, Cas was afraid to tell them that he is gay, so he tried to date girls, but it never did any good.
Dean was furious when he found out about that, so much that he almost went to their house and yelled at them. Thankfully, Cas made him see the reason and he called down, even though he took care of Cas that day, not letting him out of his sight. Cas didn't complain about it, so everything was good.
They have been dating for few months now and last week, Cas came to him and told him that his parents would like to meet him as they somehow found out that Cas is dating someone. They don't know that Dean is a guy, so that's what Cas is so anxious about this morning.
As Dean has his own apartment, Cas had been spending the night at his place, so that's probably how his parents found out. Dean doesn't have a problem with going to meet his boyfriend' parents, but he knows it's taking a big toll on Cas' shoulders.
Dean turns Cas' gaze back to him and slightly kisses the tip of his nose. Cas leans into the touch once again and sighs in content.
,,Remember when you were scared to meet my parents?"
Cas nods, his eyes still closed.
,,And everything turned out alright, didn't it?"
Cas nods again, this time opens his eyes and locks his gaze onto Dean' ones.
Dean kisses him again, this time on his forehead.
,,So don't be scared this time, either. Yes, I know your parents are dicks and we can't do anything about it. But, please, don't make yourself anxious just because of them."
Cas leans closer to him and snuggles him. He wraps his arms around Dean' waist and buries his nose in Dean' neck, sighting once again in content. Dean smiles down at him and wraps his own arms around him, pulling him even closer.
Dean can feel the vibrations on his skin when Cas asks him.
,,But what if they disown me, just like they disowned Gabriel?"
Dean tightens his grip on Cas and huffs slightly.
,,If they try to say something or even if they look at you in the wrong way, I will go in a rampage and not even you will be able to stop me. They don't deserve you, Cas and I will show them how amazing you are, how thoughtful, how caring... They don't see what's right in front of them, they are blind from the hate that's literally radiating from their bodies. And they tried to poison you with that hatred, but you didn't succumb, no matter how much they tried. And I'm so proud of you for that. There's no stronger then you are and when you decide to stand up to your parents, I will be by your side, no matter what."
Cas tightens his grip on Dean as well. Dean can tell Cas is at the verge of crying, so he pulls him up till Cas is looking at him and lightly brushes away the tears that are cascading down his face. He doesn't like seeing Cas cry, it makes his chest hurt. ,,It's alright, baby. Let it out." Cas is not a loud crier, so his eyes are dry in a little bit. He looks at Dean with small smile painting his face and leans closer to him. He kisses him slightly on his forehead as well. ,,What did I do to deserve you, Dean? You're such an amazing boyfriend and there's nothing that I would do to change how we met. I love you and I'm happy with you, no matter what my parents might say when I introduce you to them." Dean smiles at him and kisses him as well. No matter what tomorrow might bring, he is happy here with his boyfriend and there is nothing he wound change about that.
