We are in a Zombie Apocalypse.

She still remembered the confused look on Vee’s face when she shoved her back through the door, with Stringbean in her hands, she still remembered the way that she had destroyed the portal door, and the notes on how to make one to keep her family safe.
The Owlwing is known to be a ruthless mercenary, a firm leader to those in the town surrounding Gravesfield Connecticut, who fights with one arm, and no compassion for those who break her rules. And the small child who follows her everywhere.
