Nile didn't even bother to look up from the screen when Joe and Nicky entered the safe house. Joe had a firm grip on Nicky's shirt, steering him directly towards the bedroom while they kissed without breaking apart. Joe and Nicky didn't care that they hit stuff or walls along the way because it had been weeks since they last had kissed or had sex. Joe, Nicky, and Booker had done their part of the mission, while Andy and Nile had taken care of the rest. A couple of seconds after Joe and Nicky came Booker, who caught a glimpse of Nicky taking off his bulletproof vest and shirt in one move before they bumped up against the only room with a door in the safe house.
Nile: "Let me guess: it was a couple of long weeks with the lovebirds?"
Booker froze on the spot, which made Nile look at him.
Booker: "What are you doing on the couch?"
Nile: "Catching up on my series."
Booker: "Sorry, but I don't care about your series; why aren't you in the room Joe and Nicky are heading for?"
Nile: "I gave it to Andy."
Booker: "Andy is here?"
Nile nodded:
Booker: "She said she would visit Japan right after the mission."
Nile: "She needed the good bed for once because her back is killing her, and since you guys weren't supposed to be home before tomorrow, I thought it wouldn't be a problem."
At that moment, Nile and Booker heard Andy swearing very loudly, together with Joe. What the swearing had in common was the name Booker.
Nile: "What have you done now?"
Booker: "Don't have the time to explain. Tell Andy, I just remembered a mission on the other side of the world that I must attend to."
Before Nile could say anything, Booker had legged it. Around the same time, Andy and Joe came into the living room. It was very clear that they both were fuming with anger.
Andy: "Where is he?"
Instead of answering, Nile just pointed in the direction Booker had left. Within a second, Andy left the safe house.
Nile: "What was that about?"
Joe: "One of Booker's oldest pranks: putting something in our bed we don't know about. There have been water balloons, mice, fish, flour, and firecrackers, to mention a few things, but it is the first time he has upgraded it to a person in our bed."
Nile let out a low growl. Something Joe didn't think Nile would ever do.
Nile: "Go and have fun with Nicky while I help Andy with Booker."
Before Joe could say anything, Nile had also left the safe house, so Joe returned to Nicky, who had checked over the bed.
Nicky: "There was only Andy in our bed."
Joe: "That is good to know. We have to make it up to Andy somehow for interrupting her slumber."
Nicky: "We will do that with baklava as always, but was this one of Booker's pranks?"
Joe told Nicky what he suspected.
Nicky: "We are going to invest in a lock and keys for this room in the future."
Joe: "I say we do that with all our rooms."
Nicky: "I agree. What are we going to do about Booker?"
Joe, with a smirk: "I say we leave it to Nile and Andy. As the old saying goes:' Nothing like a hell hath no fury, as a woman scorned'."
Nicky: "True."
Nicky placed his arms around Joe's neck before pressing his body against Joe's.
Nicky: "So, where were we when we got interrupted before?"
Joe: "I was about to throw you down on the bed...."
More did Joe not get to say before Nicky kissed him and pulled him back to the bedroom.
