Summary
Miles Edgeworth never thought fatherhood would come his way. When faced with the reality of it, and knowing that he never had a good enough father figure for a long enough time and unable to fathom putting anyone through what Von Karma put him through, he makes a rash decision. What consequences will come of it and will they rip him apart with no way to breathe or can there be peace, after all?

Miles knew he should just apologize — for what he knew not, but this was where he should apologize, he didn’t want to make Phoenix sad. He just — he couldn’t tell Phoenix that he didn’t want Trucy in his life. He hadn’t signed up for that. He wasn’t a good role model.
“I don’t want to be a dad,” was what came out of his mouth. FUCK.
Phoenix blinked twice, trying to reconcile the two things. “What?”
“I don’t want to be a father.”
