Summary
Wriothesley didn't miss meetings. Rescheduling happened, unexpected events happened, but word was always sent ahead of time if there was something that would cause a delay. Thirty minutes into their allotted meeting time, and Neuvillette had grown from confused to concerned. If not punctual, Wriothesley was typically early, took pride in it, so the man being absent without any form of notice was worrisome. For most meetings he wouldn't be overly concerned, but he and the Duke were on friendly terms and he knew him well. If something had happened, a messenger would have delivered the news personally, to ensure Neuvillette wasn't delayed overmuch and could move on to other matters; they were both busy men, after all.
There are times when the Duke is nowhere to be found. Many whisper that it's because he's doing something illicit or giving someone what they deserve, however some whisper that there's something darker. When he misses a meeting with the Chief Justice, Nuevillette, concerned, goes searching... And isn't quite prepared for what he finds.
