This is not what he expected when he wished on the star.
He thought the person had been lying. Telling him fake stories to get him to leave.
...But alas. Here he was, holding Uraraka, his girlfriend of one month, in his left hand.
...Only instead of her being...well...her...She was...
"I can't believe you turned her into a hamster!" Midoriya clamped a hand over his lips. "Do you think she's aware that--?"
"Oh yes," Iida showed Midoriya his right hand. "Yes, she has bitten me quite a few times to alert me of her awareness. H-Haven't you, Uraraka?...Ow!" Uraraka bit down on his hand again. "I said I was sorry!"
The hamster in his grasp squeaked angrily.
"I don't think your apology is enough, Iida." Todoroki so deadpanly addressed. "I think she's mad."
"Yes, well, I can see that," Iida sucked on the tiny cut made by Uraraka's bucked hamster teeth.
"H-How did it happen again?" Midoriya brought out his pocket-sized pad of paper to take notes on the situation. "I've never seen a quirk like this before!"
Iida groaned as Uraraka's squeaking got louder. "I was told that the man could change a person into any animal for three hours, all you have to do is tell him which animal you wish for a person to be, and as long as that person is in one kilometer radius of him, he could make it work." He released a hard sigh. "I did not believe him with how outlandish he made himself out to be. But...I whispered to Uraraka while we were walking...I wish I could turn her into a cute little hamster."
His ears were bright red as he retold the story.
"You have had brighter moments," Todoroki commented before reaching a hand out to hold Uraraka. "Can I try holding her?"
Uraraka squeaked viciously in Iida's hold.
"I-I don't think she really wants to be held by anyone..."
"But you're holding her?" Todoroki poked a finger out.
Midoriya held onto Todoroki's wrist to prevent him from reaching further. "Y-Yeah, but I don't think Iida is really giving her a choice...You don't want her getting stepped on?"
Iida nodded. "Correct...She only has about thirty more minutes left. Aizawa-Sensei told me I could spend the rest of the day at the dorms to make sure she did not get hurt...So I'll be returning there for now."
The friends departed with Midoriya mumbling about his notes while walking back to the classrooms with Todoroki by his side.
Iida passed several students on his way to the dorms, trying his best to continue apologizing in various ways.
"A-And I suppose if I were to have wished for you to be an animal, I should have said something else. I know you don't like being referred to as a chipmunk...So-So couldn't one argue that perhaps this is a step up above that?...OOWWW!"
That bite sunk deeper than the ones prior.
"Okay, alright! I'll just...stay quiet until we get to my room."
Uraraka chirped in agreement.
Soon Iida was sitting on his bed, gently placing Uraraka on his comforter. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable..." he patted his bed. "I, ah, don't have any hamster, um, supplies...Do you have to, um, relieve yourself?"
So much squeaking. High pitched furious squeaking from Uraraka's tiny, fuzzy body.
"It-It was just a question!" Iida pointed to tissues on his desk. "Just tell me if you do and then I'll....Ouch! Uraraka, please stop!"
Uraraka had waddled her way over to him with lightning speed for a hamster before taking a sharp nibble on the side of his thigh, digging in through his slacks.
"I'll make it up to you once you're back to being human!" Iida stood up and rubbed the tender spot where Uraraka bit him. "So start thinking of what you'd like me to do and I'll do it." He gave his word.
With that being said, the squeaking seemed to be put at ease. Uraraka waddled her way over to the top of Iida's bed. She made one, two, three circles before nuzzling herself in between two of the sheets.
Iida was about to protest, but let it slide. This was his fault, after all. The least he could do was let her be comfortable.
Twenty minutes passed at an agonizing pace, but soon they were done.
Iida had been sitting at his desk knowing that Uraraka had fallen asleep in her hamster form.
Then he heard his bed creaking. Turning around, he found her snuggled under her blankets, facing the wall, her breathing slow and steady.
He couldn't help the grin on his face. She really was cute, no matter what form she took.
Although he could never tell her that after this whole ordeal.
Iida quietly tiptoed over to his closet to pick out another blanket. He gently draped it over her before returning to his desk.
An hour passed of him working on a project that wouldn't be due for another month. He closed his laptop at the same time as Uraraka flopping over onto her back.
"Iida?" She rubbed her eyes with a yawn. "Why am I in your room?" She perched herself up on groggy elbows.
His face flushed. "Y-You don't remember?"
Uraraka tilted her head to the side with an arched eyebrow. "If I did, I wouldn't be asking you now, would I?"
He didn't appreciate the sass, but again, considering what she just went through, perhaps he had it coming. "Well..."
"I had the strangest dream..." She yawned again, falling back onto her side. "I got turned into a hamster...That didn't really happen...Did it?"
He took a hard swallow. "Um, well, you see...ah..." Iida was sweating bullets as he heard tiny giggles from his bed. "What's so funny?"
Uraraka let out a giggle-yawn hybrid. "I remember what happened, Iida." She sat up and stretched. "I just wanted to see how you would respond."
"Oh really?" Iida's flush deepened. "I guess I should be relieved that you are alright then, yes?"
Uraraka nodded. "Mmhm, and I do remember you saying you owe me." She winked. "I get to ask for whatever I want, and you'll do it for me, right? My wish is your command?"
Iida gulped with a sturdy nod. "Y-Yes, that is correct...But be careful what you wish for!...You saw what just happened..."
Uraraka smirked. "Oh, I know just what I want you to do." She curled her pointer finger as a gesture for him to come closer. "Come here so I can whisper it to you."
Despite his better judgement, Iida walked over and leaned down for her to whisper into his ear.
Her breath tickled his lobe as his blush resurfaced to his cheeks, lighting his face ablaze.
